T.G.I.F! Make An "RSVP" With Shara Strand

"RSVP" With Shara

Like a caterpillar meta morphs into a butterfly, Pop Princess Shara Strand has evolved into a Dance Princess with her latest RSVP.

I first became acquainted with Ms. Strand in 2012 when she first burst onto the music scene with her EP Born Tonight. I interviewed her for the music site Chorus and Verse, check out our chat here:

Since our first encounter it has been a pleasure knowing her and seeing the path her career has taken.

Her latest incarnation is sure to have everyone dancing their collective booty's off...!!!

Shara has this to say about her current single:

"RSVP is about being bold, living in the moment, and enjoying all the good. I hope my new single and video gives my fans a moment to be silly, have fun, and let it all go."

Well stated my dear in this day and age we need all the positive energy and fun we can get, and RSVP delivers both!

Check out her latest single and video at the link below and have a groovy T.G.I.F!

A Few Of My Favorite Things: Morrissey & Pamela Anderson

Pamela & Morrissey Sitting In A Tree...
Two of my favorite things, Morrissey & Pamela Anderson have joined forces for the video "Earth is the Loneliest Planet" a spoken word piece by the big M himself.

I encountered Morrissey once at The Viper Room in Los Angeles when he was there to see a band that I was there to see Girl in a Coma, an all female group with a name that "yes" was a homage to the Morrissey song "Girlfriend in a Coma" thus it made for an overall too cool for school evening.

Also I have interviewed the delightful Ms. Anderson for Instinct magazine when it was good for a great column they used to have "The Chick We'd Switch For."

When I posed the question "If you were gay for one day would you want that experience to be as a man or a woman?"

She enthusiastically said "A man . I have so many gay male friends and hear so many great stories."

To which I replied "What would you want to do as a gay man?"

Pamela quipped "If I was a gay man I would know how to give a better blow job ."

This is verbatim as I just transcribed it from a copy of the magazine with my interview in it.

Yep, you guys made my week!

Toni Braxton, Stops In The Name Of Darlene Love

Toni Braxton

This just in "Unbreak My Heart" singer, Toni Braxton has been cast as Rock-N-Roll hall of fame inductee and all around wonderful performer and person, Ms. Darlene Love in a made for TV Movie on Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network:

"My Name is Love: The Darlene Love Story” is slated for a December premiere. Pic revolves around Love’s long career in the music biz, starting out as the key voice behind Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound hits from the 1960s. OWN’s first scripted telepic is shepherded by the docu filmmaker Morgan Neville, who was behind last year’s “Twenty Feet from Stardom” feature about Love and other well-known backup singers."

"Twenty Feet From Stardom" was an awesome documentary, I have no doubt Morgan Neville is going to nail this, along with the multi-talented Ms. Braxton.

I for one can't wait to see my friend Darlene get a fitting tribute on OWN. Darlene was one of my very favorite interview subjects - she is terrific!

Place Your Bets: Eric Himan Vs. Arizona Lawmakers

It's Super Eric!
Yeah, whose going to win the gays or the, I don't know what to call these people, I hate name calling and judging, unlike the lawmakers in Arizona I will refrain from from something that shows a true lack of intelligence.

So what does one say? Let's let Eric Himan do it for us in an eloquent and intelligent manner. Eric wrote "Not Going Anywhere Tonight" in two hours while prepping for a concert in said state.

Eric rules! As a past interview subject and someone whose live performances I have seen, he is off the hook!

Hey Eric, keep on doing what you are doing and on behalf of grateful LGBTQ people out there, thanks for being you!

On Tour: Message To Venus

The "M2V" Guys!

Finally! After years of playing local type gigs, Message to Venus is hitting the road for a really big tour...!

The tour will cover 19 States and 30 Cities in the U.S.! Yes, 2013 is the year for "M2V".

Jandre Nadal Lead Vocals/Guitar of "M2V" stopped by "Entertain Me" to give me this quote about the groups mega 2013 activity:

"We have invested so much as a band, mental and physical preparations, sacrificing everything in our personal lives. We have the mind set and the talent, we just need the exposure. We are going to be big and we know it"!

Yes, Jandre this writer agrees. I first heard of the band and chatted with Jandre in May 2012 for Chorus & Verse, oh, you can cut to that full length interview here...

Oh, look it's a cool "M2V" logo!

Speaking with Mr. Nadal and hearing the bands music, I knew then everything he just told all of you above is 100% accurate and, he speaks the truth. Can I get an amen?

"M2V" kicks off their tour this Thursday June 20th 2013 in St. Petersburg, FL with opener Dead Fish Handshake in tow.
