Sunday Is For Snoopy!

Threesome
Tori Spelling, Snoopy & Jennie Garth
Call me sentimental, call me old, call me whatever you like, this image of Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth snuggling Snoopy got me in the mood for the impending Christmas Holiday.

Why? Well they remind me of my youth, duh! Also there is Christmas decor in the background, double duh! I grew up with Snoopy on all of the Charlie Brown specials and Beverly Hills 90210 was a cool show, once, so there, I've confessed.

Yeah I know Thanksgiving is this coming week but Christmas is already in the air and after turkey day comes and goes, all bets are on Santa Claus and venison.

This most holy of photo ops took place at the Countdown to Christmas event at Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California.

Enjoy your Sunday and get Snoopy with it!

Thanksgiving Bromance

I Feels For You
Adam Levine & Blake Shelton

Adam Levine has taken his Bromance with Blake Shelton to a whole other level by calling him the "sexiest man alive."

People Magazine doesn't have a clue as to how hot Blake is according to Adam or they would put him on the cover of said issue (Adam himself is a former holder of the coveted title.)

The Voice coaches clearly have the feels for each other. Check out the photo above for proof.

Since today is Thanksgiving and all that jazz one of the themes of the Holiday is brotherly love.

Nothing quite says that like a Blake & Adam sandwich. Watch out Gwen Stefani you have competition!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Stay "White" With Sandy Zacky

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, with every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright, and may all
your Christmases be white" - "White Christmas" Irving Berlin

OK, it's December 1st and Thanksgiving is over. Time to turn and face the reality that Christmas is only twenty four quick days away.

Well every year at Entertain Me we kick off the month of giving with our resident chanteuse Sandy with a "Y" not "E" Zacky and her beautiful rendition of White Christmas.

I actually saw her perform this live at her show at Cal State Northridge, CSUN for short in 2008 around coincidentally enough, Christmas time...

Sandy knocked them dead with her show and made everyone in the house sentimental and all warm and fuzzy with her special interpretation of this Holiday classic.

Deck those halls and hang those balls Christmas will be here before you know it people!

Sandy singing White Christmas is a great kick off for the countdown to C-day. Sleigh it girl!

Dr. Nina's Tips On How To Treat Yourself For Halloween

It's Dr. Nina
Dr. Nina Savelle-Rocklin, Psy.D. aka Dr. Nina has made a house call to Entertain Me a couple of times before.

Nina specializes in eating disorders by digging to the root of where the problem lies. She encourages people to Win The Diet War by finding the real issue at hand. Last year I had her dole out her wisdom about how to navigate what I like to call "The Eating Season," you know that time between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve.

This year I got to thinking that no one ever really addresses Halloween. So I paged Dr. Nina and asked her if she would be willing to take on my favorite day of the year with her usual flair in the spirit of the season.

I promise this is not a trick, Dr. Nina is here with some awesome tips on how to treat yourself for Halloween!

1.  Afraid of the dark?  The scariest thoughts are the dark ideas you have about yourself.  Keep out thoughts like, "I suck" or "I'm too fat/stupid/ugly" or "Who would love me?"    Those thoughts just make you feel terrible about yourself.  And that's truly frightening.

Boo!
2.  Got ghosts?  If the ghosts of the past are haunting you, it's time to deal with them.  If you had a critical parent, teacher or sibling, and you find yourself being equally critical to yourself, that critical voice belongs to others, not to you.  Find your authentic voice, and view yourself as you are, not as others treated you.

3.  Give yourself a treat.  If you find yourself saying, "I'm going to be good this Halloween and not eat a single piece of candy," or "I was so bad because I ate that pumpkin cheesecake," then you're connecting your character to what you eat.  Allow yourself to eat candy on Halloween without feeling guilty.  Deprivation or anticipation of deprivation leads to overeating.   If you give yourself permission to have candy you may actually eat less!

"Just Say No"
4.  Living a zombie life?  Do you feel as if you're the walking dead, doing the same thing day after day, not truly enjoying your life to the fullest?  If so, bring yourself back to life.  Think about one thing that you've been waiting to do "one day" and make today the day you start working towards doing that thing.  If you want to run a marathon, go for a walk or a short run.  If you want to start dating, go online and check out some dating sites.

5.  Be playful.  Remember the fun of going out with your friends on Halloween?  This occasion is about being with other people, dressing up, and having fun.  So, have a great time.  Happy Halloween!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Time For Turkey "Cleopatra"

I am "Cleopatra" Not Miss Cleo!

Yes it is that day of every year we are thankful, for family, friends, health and turkey!

So in honor of Turkey Day I present you, one of Hollywood's biggest Turkey's of all time - "Cleopatra" starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Yes I have seen it, and I needed major amounts of caffeine to stay awake. Was it worth it? Yes and No...The content was absolutely boring as Hell. But despite it being one of her worst performances ever Taylor was riveting and add to the fact that she was having a then scandalous extramarital affair with Burton added a whole extra dimension to it.

Taylor was an amazing actress whether she gave a great performance or not - Hey "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" co-starring the late great Paul Newman, are two of my favorite films of all time, and she was great in both them. However in this production her affair with Burton was the draw...
                                                           The Trailer For "Cleopatra"

Universe bless Ms. Taylor she had the extra balls to back herself as well - no actress had been paid one million dollars at the time, she did not want to do the film so she asked for it. Well, they paid it, and she did it because her thought was: If they were stupid enough to pay it to her, then she would do it.

Her legacy of being a humanitarian and a no BS woman will always be remembered, so this Thanksgiving Day I tip my hat to Elizabeth, and hope everyone finds what they need from the world and grab it by it's tail - whip it like Elizabeth, and gobble, gobble!

Have A "Grindhouse" Thanksgiving...!

You may be scratching your head what does the brilliant Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino double bill "Planet Terror" with an on fire Rose McGowan and "Death Proof" with a disturbing Kurt Russell have to do with Turkey Day?

Well even though "Grindhouse" does not refer to what they do with turkeys to make them a leg or a thigh, although it certainly could, there is a cooler than cool horror trailer spoof  by renegade Director, Eli Roth that is shown during this awesome double feature and it is funny as Hell and sure to warm the cockles of your heart today titled appropriately enough "Thanksgiving". Pull it up on YouTube or watch it here and toast with a glass of wine.

Happy Thanksgiving! May you always suspect something is awry with your turkey and your relatives are twisted and insane "This year there will be no leftovers"...
