Portraits From The Woods

Norman Reedus presents "Portraits From The Woods"

Behind the scenes photography from The Walking Dead

Featuring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hideo Kojima, Lena Dunham,
Diane Kruger, Dave Chapelle and many more

Available now as Hardcover (First Edition) as well as Special Collector's Edition: Clothbound Clamshell Box which includes book plus signed archival photograph

In this brand-new electrifying book of photography by Norman Reedus, he captures moments behind the scenes of TWD as only Norman could deliver. With his unique sense of humor, traveling into the Georgian woods with Norman’s cast of characters and zombies, alongside portraits of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hideo Kojima, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Dave Chapelle and many more to reveal the individuals that inhabit his life.

Norman has an indelible way of capturing the beauty and mystery in others. His photographs are beautiful and terrifying, macabre and provoking, alternately dark, and sublime.

Norman is never without his camera. Like his life on set and in the real world, Reedus’ images vacillate between the real and surreal. Certain portraits remain vivid and clear, while others are washed in intrigue: grainy, hazy and obscured. What unites all of these faces are the eyes that see them: Norman’s. From those eyes come a piercing intimacy, both precious and rare.

The hardcover first edition (144 pages, 9.5" x 12") is now available exclusively on Reedus’ website Big Bald Galley for $75. Additionally, the Special Collector's Edition: Clothbound Clamshell Box which includes the hardcover book plus a signed archival photograph is also available now. Proceeds from sales are being donated to the COVID-19 Response Fund.

Just Because...Maks & Peta

Dead Couple Walking
Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd

Just Because tonight Dancing With The Stars airs, Just Because, it's well duh, Halloween and Just Because they are hotter than Georgia Asphalt. Here are Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd  at the Maxim 2017 Halloween party in Los Angeles. Hey Maxim/Maksim, I wonder if he and his wife Peta support PETA too?!

Peta is quite sexy as a Walking Dead Little Red Riding Hood, while Max is equally hot as a Walking Dead, something or other. Not sure what his zombie character is supposed to be exactly, but when you ooze sex appeal under that much make-up who cares!

What's that you ask? Do I watch DWTS? Sort of. I watch the clips on YouTube of the celebs I want to see dance. Yes Virginia, I cherry pick the show.

OK, time to get my motivation on, it's Monday after all.

Ciao!

Michael's Musings

Reach The Beach
Michael Shinafelt
Hello Peeps! Wow this past week has been really great! How great was it Michael?! Well let me spill, there was a partial eclipse of the sun in Los Angeles, I saw my friend E.G. Daily perform raw (acoustic) at the Hotel Cafe, I went to the IT Experience in Hollywood and Donald Trump is still a F#ck Weasel....

It's time to extrapolate, now!

Best name ever for a club: Hissy Fist (if this confuses you, ask)

We only had a partial, eclipse that is, in Los Angeles. Damn not a total one! I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. at the time you would think peeps were the Walking Dead when it happened.

Warrior Juan, discuss

I got stage fright during my Mandolin auditions. Truth or Consequences???

When all else fails tell people: A Bear Kidnapped Me

Poor Little Kook

I know I posted about this, but ooooops! I'm gonna do it again. The IT Experience in Hollywood is a hoot and a holler and one eighth, yee haw!

E.G. Daily, Raw
Nobody does it better than E.G. Daily, raw! (meaning acoustic)

That time I overslept. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Bethenny Frankel, that is all

How many Donald Trump's does it take to screw in a light bulb?

I wish you relevance

My Zombie Boyfriend

Corpses Have More Fun!
Vanessa Hudgens
Former High School Musical and Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens brings all the boys to the yard, including Zombies.

While attending Knott's Scary Farm this smooth walking dead operator couldn't seem to keep his bony fingers off of Ms. Hudgens as she politely indulged him, or perhaps even enjoyed the attention from the animated corpse who was hitting on her.

No word yet on whether he followed her home.

Happy Monday!

Vanessa went completely Knott's in Buena Park, CA at Knott's Scary Farm

Dressed as a Black Cat (I know what you are thinking, I chose not to go there) - she struck a pose with two The Walking Dead types. But she did not seem to fear them, she looks like she is having a blast. Is there something we should know about you that you aren't telling us Vanessa?

Anyway I hope you are all busying preparing thyself and enjoying the season of the witch!

Dr. Nina's Tips On How To Treat Yourself For Halloween

It's Dr. Nina
Dr. Nina Savelle-Rocklin, Psy.D. aka Dr. Nina has made a house call to Entertain Me a couple of times before.

Nina specializes in eating disorders by digging to the root of where the problem lies. She encourages people to Win The Diet War by finding the real issue at hand. Last year I had her dole out her wisdom about how to navigate what I like to call "The Eating Season," you know that time between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve.

This year I got to thinking that no one ever really addresses Halloween. So I paged Dr. Nina and asked her if she would be willing to take on my favorite day of the year with her usual flair in the spirit of the season.

I promise this is not a trick, Dr. Nina is here with some awesome tips on how to treat yourself for Halloween!

1.  Afraid of the dark?  The scariest thoughts are the dark ideas you have about yourself.  Keep out thoughts like, "I suck" or "I'm too fat/stupid/ugly" or "Who would love me?"    Those thoughts just make you feel terrible about yourself.  And that's truly frightening.

Boo!
2.  Got ghosts?  If the ghosts of the past are haunting you, it's time to deal with them.  If you had a critical parent, teacher or sibling, and you find yourself being equally critical to yourself, that critical voice belongs to others, not to you.  Find your authentic voice, and view yourself as you are, not as others treated you.

3.  Give yourself a treat.  If you find yourself saying, "I'm going to be good this Halloween and not eat a single piece of candy," or "I was so bad because I ate that pumpkin cheesecake," then you're connecting your character to what you eat.  Allow yourself to eat candy on Halloween without feeling guilty.  Deprivation or anticipation of deprivation leads to overeating.   If you give yourself permission to have candy you may actually eat less!

"Just Say No"
4.  Living a zombie life?  Do you feel as if you're the walking dead, doing the same thing day after day, not truly enjoying your life to the fullest?  If so, bring yourself back to life.  Think about one thing that you've been waiting to do "one day" and make today the day you start working towards doing that thing.  If you want to run a marathon, go for a walk or a short run.  If you want to start dating, go online and check out some dating sites.

5.  Be playful.  Remember the fun of going out with your friends on Halloween?  This occasion is about being with other people, dressing up, and having fun.  So, have a great time.  Happy Halloween!!

Teen Idol, Mike Clifford "I'm Not Dead Yet"

Teen Idol Mike Clifford wants you to know "I'm Not Dead Yet"! It's his new slogan, many people prior to his recent resurgence as an artist thought he was....!

Well unless he is "The Walking Dead" it would seem the former teen dream who had a hit world wide with his single "Close to Cathy" is very much alive, kicking and getting back to business.

Clifford recently came out with a maturity that he did not demonstrate in his younger years on a groovy cover of "Mack the Knife" that would do Bobby Darin proud. He also has a YouTube video for the Holidays, a live version of: "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas".

Do you need further proof Mr. Clifford is not "dead yet?" Well check out the interview I did with him this year about "Mack The Knife":

Now do you believe me?! Remember teen idols never die, they simply get recycled, go green!
