Ho, Ho, Ho Merry "Club Christmas"

Following the smash releases of Club Christmas, Club Christmas 2, Club Christmas 3 and Ultimate Club Christmas, D1 Music presents the final album in the collection, Club Christmas Greatest Hits. Club Christmas Greatest Hits features the most popular songs from all previous Club Christmas albums, including remixed takes on popular classics like “O Holy Night”, “The Little Drummer Boy” and even “Frosty the Snowman."

Club Christmas is the brainchild of Peter McLean, founder of the independent dance music label, D1 Music, and Keith Kemper

“The idea was to put a spin on classic Christmas tunes and remix them to reflect the music our fans appreciate,” states Peter McLean

So I decided to hit up D1 Music founder extraordinaire, Peter McLean as to what his personal favorite Holiday songs are, here is what he told Entertain Me:

Silent Night - a song that captures and inspires peace.

Little Drummer Boy - one of the most rhythmic Christmas carols and as a dance music producer that is very appealing.

O Holy Night - a powerful Christmas anthem that really raises the ceiling and you can't help but try for that high note at the end...but only singers like Celine Dion can hit it!!! LOL

Frosty The Snowman - this always puts a smile on my face. Who doesn't like a little fun at Christmas?

What Child Is This - musically this song is one of the most beautiful Christmas songs and it has become popular again in recent years.

Club Christmas Greatest Hits Tracklisting:

1. Feliz Navidad 3:39
2. Frosty The Snowman 3:56
3. Silent Night 2:34
4. What Child Is This 6:02
5. The Little Drummer Boy 3:17

Three time Grammy and Emmy nominee, comedian Margaret Cho has announced she will make her return to New York City in March to film her brand new Stand Up Comedy Special at The Gramercy Theater. These shows in the Big Apple will be her first in over 2 years.

Margaret has been criss-crossing the country with brand new material over the last several months and said: I'm so thrilled to announce that I will be filming my new special at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC on March 7th (additional show on March 6 will not be filmed) and I want you to come! This is my most exciting show to date and I can't wait to share it with you. It's going to be legendary!

Margaret has toured all over the world and Bust magazine attended her show in Paris saying: Ms. Cho put on a hysterically funny 90-minute set.  It was the most explicit and painfully honest performance I’ve ever seen from her giving it 100%.”

Recently, Margaret has been living in her hometown of San Francisco and giving back to the homeless community in honor of the late Robin Williams.  Margaret was so inspired by Robin’s activism that she has decided to get out on the streets herself in his honor for the work he did throughout his life with Comic Relief.   “I found that I could not stop grieving Robin Williams and I spoke to my friend Michael Pritchard, who is a mutual friend of mine and Robin's and he said, "Don't grieve Robin, be Robin". So this is what I thought I should do. I should go and make a little Comic Relief, a little baby one. And I encourage anyone to do this in their town.”

Dubbed the #BeRobin campaign, you can follow Margaret on Twitter for event announcements @margaretcho.  Margaret will continue her busking for the homeless 2 days a week in San Francisco until the end of the year.

Congrats to my friends Pentatonix for hitting it with a major label, you guys deserve it!

RCA Records is excited to announce the signing of vocal sensations and internet phenoms Pentatonix.  Since their debut in 2011, the quintet has released 3 albums (PTX Volume 1, PTXmas and PTX Volume 2) selling over 500,000 copies combined.  Online, the Pentatonix YouTube channel boasts well over 445 million views with more than 5.6 million subscribers, is the #61 most subscribed-to channel and #16 most subscribed-to music channel. The group recently sold out their 32-date North American tour and is currently on a sold out European tour, which concludes May 18th in Dublin, Ireland.

“We are thrilled to have Pentatonix join RCA,” says RCA President & COO Tom Corson.  “Their musicality and special vocal abilities have enabled them to create innovative original songs as well as re-create some of today’s biggest hits. Pentatonix is unique to our business and we look forward to working with them as we take their talents to new and exciting heights everywhere in the world.”

"We're really excited to start this new chapter of our career with RCA,” says the group. “We feel like we've found a home where we can truly develop our artistry with the best in the industry."

Pentatonix consists of lead vocalists Scott Hoying (22), Kirstie Maldonado (21) and Mitch Grassi (21), vocal bass Avi Kaplan (25) and beatboxer Kevin “K.O.” Olusola (25). Their most recent album PTX Volume 2 debuted at #10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart and features 3 original songs and 5 covers including a 7-song Daft Punk medley for which the video has garnered over 65 million views.  PTX Volume 2 follows PTX Volume 1 and PTXmas. Both albums originally debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart and re-entered the chart in December 2013, with the deluxe version of PTXmas leading the charge. With the addition of new tracks “Little Drummer Boy” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” PTXmas has sold more than 200,000 copies and reached #1 on Billboard’s Digital Albums Chart. The video for “Little Drummer Boy” was a worldwide hit, racking up over 30 million views while the song landed at #13 on the Billboard Top 100 Singles Chart as well as #1 on Billboard’s Holiday 100 and Holiday Digital Songs Chart.

Ghosts Of Christmas Past - David Bowie & Bing Crosby

Ghosts Of Christmas Past: David Bowie & Bing Crosby

While writing about The Holiday Season this year one of my most interesting and favorite Ghosts of Christmas Past memories kept haunting me...

As a youngster I remember watching one of Bing Crosby's Holiday Specials with my parents, when what to my wandering eyes did appear but David Bowie to sing "Little Drummer Boy" with Bing this year.

Even as a kid I was a little taken aback as I was keenly aware of Bowie's reputation as a Rock-N-Roll raconteur and Crosby's as the picture of family wholesomeness.

But this was pure magic to me and truly formed an aesthetic that would be part of the basis of who I became in my adult life.

Of course guess who I became a fan of and guess who stayed my parents singer?

Here is one of the greatest most influential moments in Entertainment history, not to mention my  young life.

"Come they told me
Pa rum pum pum pum"....
