Get Your Cracker On! Miz Cracker...

AAAAAAAAND... CRACK-TION!

SHE'S A WOMAN STARRING MIZ CRACKER COMES TO THE STAGE

Writer, comedienne, activist, and RuPaul's Drag Race star takes her one-woman-show across the US in 2022

Miz Cracker announced the relaunch of her US tour, She's a Woman, presented by Obsessed powered by Five Senses Reeling. The tour will kick off January 30 in Los Angeles, CA, with 20 additional dates ending in Austin, TX. A complete list of tour dates and venues is below.

"I can't wait to tour America with my brand new show, She's a Woman," said Miz Cracker. "I'm so excited to see people in person after months alone. It's been too long since I've hit the stage, and I can't wait to tell my most personal, ridiculous stories while looking right in your eyes! To fans and friends alike, join me for this once in a lifetime experience.

In her one-woman show, She's a Woman, drag queen and comedienne Miz Cracker presents a full hour of standup and music, discussing everything from dating and dieting to Covid and global calamity. With her signature brand of cheerful pessimism, she tells stories about her bizarre childhood, her vices, her worst mistakes—and how she somehow managed to survive it all. Embracing a message of self-acceptance—not necessarily self-love—She's a Woman is a show for anyone who loves not loving life.

A limited number of upgrade packages are available for sale each night. The package includes early entry to the venue, an official tour poster autographed by Miz Cracker, an opportunity to shop for exclusive tour merchandise before the general audience, commemorative tour lanyard and laminate, and a photo opportunity with Miz Cracker. These packages are upgrades and do not include a ticket to the show. Tickets must be purchased separately.

Tickets and upgrade packages go on sale Friday, August 20, at noon local time at shesawomantour.com. Ticket prices range from $29 - $79, and upgrade packages are $40 each.

Michael's Musings

"It's Good Practice"
Michael Shinafelt

You know how they always say "practice makes perfect?" What happens when you attain perfection? Stop practicing perhaps? Have nothing more to accomplish?

For the record practice does not make perfect. It makes you better, and more focused, but not perfect. Now that we've swept this false hood under the rug me thinks it's time to carry on...

Hump Day & Chill

Bottoms Up!
Neil Patrick Harris

"Wastin' away again in Margaritaville" - Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffet

Yesterday I chilled at one of my favorite places in Los Angeles, Escuela Taqueria. Given their name you would think they have great tacos, you thought correct. They also have great margaritas as well. In fact I want mass quantities of margaritas today.

So, you guessed it, we are gonna Hump Day & Chill to, drum roll please...Margaritas!

What would a Hump Day & Chill be without some skin I ask you? Ah, of course you agree skin is always a thing.

Behold our shirtless margarita poster boy one Neil Patrick Harris vacationing in Mexico and toasting us all with a margarita, naturally.

For those about to imbibe I salute you!!!

Bye, Bye Miss "American Pie"

Don McLean

DON McLEAN IMMORTALIZED ON HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD WITH STAR ON HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME

Don McLean, known for his mega-hit “American Pie,” which he wrote and performed, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier today at 6314 Hollywood Boulevard in front of The Pie Hole restaurant (corner of Hollywood and Vine).

“This is a very special day for me, awards are given every year on those television programs, and every year a new person is named a favorite, however, this award is forever,” says McLean. “This is an honor I get to share with friends, fans, and whoever walks down Hollywood Boulevard.”

Joining in the festivities were Don’s longtime friend "Weird Al" Yankovic, who is a fellow Hollywood Walk of Fame recipient. Yankovic released a parody “The Saga Begins,” that was set to the tune of “American Pie,” which recounted the plot of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, from Obi-Wan Kenobi’s point of view. The song was included on Yankovic's tenth album, Running With Scissors (1999), and went platinum, selling more than one million copies.

In addition, the award-winning acapella group Home Free, participated in the celebration with a special performance of “American Pie,” all while fans along Hollywood Boulevard couldn’t resist singing along and having a good time. The five-member group recorded the song with McLean in 2020 and subsequently released a music video that won three Telly Awards in 2021.

Yes, I know it's usually WCW and MCM, but I felt like changing things up a bit. It's my Monday and I'll do what I want to Minions...so there!

Hey, if this shot of Megan Fox leaving a photo shoot in Los Angeles looking stunning in red does no make you want to WCM then I don't know what would, or will.

Thus it's Monday Minions (say that three times fast) let's let Ms. Fox lead the charge of the beginning of a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious week.

On your marks get set, "Yes" you're seeing red, woot!

In Its Second & Final 2021 In-Person Concert of the Series,

Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome,

Held Inside the Iconic Dome of the 100” Telescope

Sunday, September 5, 2021

Performances at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM

Mount Wilson Observatory, the scientific marvel in the mountains above Pasadena, announces the second, and final, Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome under the magnificent vaulted dome of the historic 100-inch telescope. The sublime Lounge Art Ensemble will return on Sunday, September 5, 2021, with two concerts at 3:00 and 5:00 PM. Led by Weather Report drummer extraordinaire Peter Erskine, this exceptional jazz trio features saxophonist Bob Sheppard and bassist Darek Oles. Offering a freewheeling selection of standards and original tunes in the observatory’s unique and historic venue, the performances will be acoustic, without amplification, promising that the full tonality of the instruments, and the dynamic control these musicians possess, will be fully appreciated by the audience. Tickets cost $50 each and are available for purchase online in advance (highly recommended) or at the door, given availability. As in the previous three years of the series, Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, herself an award-winning cellist, curates. For more information on Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome, please visit https://www.mtwilson.edu/events.

There will be an artist’s reception at 4:00 PM between each concert’s hour-long session. In addition, concert-goers will be treated to an exhibition featuring rare scientific artifacts, drawings, and illustrations from the Observatory’s collection. Seating inside the historic dome is limited. Concert attendees must be fully vaccinated. Children under age 12 are not permitted. There is no ADA-compliant access.

All proceeds go to support the Mt. Wilson Institute in its mission to preserve, protect and promote the Observatory and the accomplishments there. Poised for rediscovery, the grounds of the legendary observatory—founded in 1904 by astrophysical pioneer George Ellery Hale—are open for free to the public year-round. Teach Me About Big Girl Coochie
Cardi B & Lizzo

Yesterday Lizzo unleashed some big post quarantine energy with the release of her song Rumors featuring Cardi B.

Well today it's my newest jam! Rumors is not your basic banger, As If! Being that Lizzo is anything but your basic artist.

This being Lizzo's first song in two years has so much going on, it takes a few trips to unpack. Trust me this is one unpacking that isn't a chore.

I don't know about you, but for me it's time for another trip on the Rumors Train, take that journey by boarding the video below now...!!!
