Be Afraid...

Geena Davis
"The Fly"

Here we are the first Friday of Halloween month. So I'm gonna just leave this iconic quote from 1986 David Cronenberg's The Fly.

Spoken by Geena Davis as Veronica Quaife.

That's all...

Michael's Musings

No Mere Mortal Can Resist The Evil Of The Thriller!
Michael Shinafelt

"The foulest stench is in the air, The funk of forty thousand years, And grizzly ghouls from every tomb, are closing in to seal your doom" - Thriller

28 days until Halloween...shivering with anticipation!

Text a random phone number this message: "The fat one won't fit into the woodchipper. What do you want me to do?"

PS your inner child is fatter then mine. That's all.

Perhaps the journey isn't about becoming anything. Perhaps it's about unbecoming everything that isn't really you.

Finally saw the documentary Scream Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street! About Nightmare On Elm Street 2 - highly recommended for fans of the genre (like me)

I've decided to stop wearing glasses, I've seen enough

FYI Smart people don't tell you how smart they are (and good people don't tell you how good they are)

You are the tequila, not the lime...the more you know

Woman Crush of the Week - Lindsay Lohan in honor of today being Mean Girls Day!

Rewatched Whatever Happened To Baby Jane with Bette Davis & Joan Crawford yesterday. Such a great movie.

Mark your calendars horror fiends. Neve Campbell is back for Scream 7 opening February 27, 2026...can't wait!

Loving Lady Gaga's cover of The Show Must Go On

BTW it looks like Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are returning for season 13 of American Horror Story

RIP Kris Kristofferson

Hump Day & Chill

Soul Sitter

"By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes."

Whilst walking through my hood the other day I spotted this divine creature. I knew there had to be more to her than meets the eye. You know like something less surface and with more meaning.

Well let us give a Halloween Hump Day & Chill welcome to my neighborhood Soul Sitter!

So what's a Soul Sitter you ask? It's someone who helps people who are facing the death of a loved one.

Personally I think this one's intentions don't seem 100% pure. There is definitely some sinister undertones happening here. You know what, that intrigues me even more!!!

Join me and my "Sitter" in a Halloween month Hump Day & Chill toast!

Where's the pizza???

Hello October...

Alfred Hitchcock

It's the most wonderful month of the year! There I said it! October is my favorite month of the entire year! Due in no small part that we get to celebrate Halloween for thirty one days!!!

Not to mention all the other related types of celebrations that happen such as Day of the Dead.

Thus to kick off this most holy of months we have this iconic image of the master himself Alfred Hitchcock standing in front of the Psycho house.

Since Psycho is one of my favorite films and Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors and both have ties to "Spooky Season" there you have it, the perfect mascot for October.

Fittingly I am kicking off the first day of October by attending yoga at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Yeah, I thought you all might like that...
