In The Ghetto

Elvis & Lisa Marie Presley

I was sad to hear the news of the passing of Lisa Marie Presley yesterday. So young, gone way to soon.

My condolences to her children and surviving family members. I'm going to leave you with my favorite thing she did musically. A duet with her Dad, the amazing Elvis Presley of In The Ghetto.

Rest In Power - you are now back in the arms of your Father...

Michael's Musings

Good As Gold
Michael Shinafelt

Well I don't know about all of you but I feel good as gold based on the above information provided to me by one of those random aps you plug into straight outta Facebook.

They were also kind enough to provide you with a Tsunami warning. PS - I'd heed that warning...

Never Have I Ever...I'll go first: changed a dirty diaper (and I never will)

When it came to decor the 70's & 80's were something else, the more you know

I 💗 DP (Dolly Paton, get your mind outta the sewer)

BTW If you don't start burning when you enter a church you are doing life wrong

Oh, I still exist, Happy Thursday Everybody!!!

The "G" in GOP stands for Gaslighting

Just in The Passion of the Christ is getting a sequel, huh? How does that even work?!?!

FYI Two crows hanging out is an attempted murder

Woman Crush of the Week - Jennifer Coolidge for her deserved win and great acceptance speech at the Golden Globes "My neighbors are speaking to me" 😂

Sending out positive energy to Lisa Marie Presley

RIP to bad ass guitarist Jeff Beck

Hard to believe Zendaya just won her first Golden Globe for Euphoria, I would have thought she would have won one for the first season as well

So pleased Ana de Armas got a SAG nomination for Blonde. I don't care what you think about the movie she was a force of nature in it!!!

Only in Florida would a man get arrested for having sex with a stuffed Olaf doll in Target, think about it, but not too much

Think about it, think about it all, but not too much here...

Hump Day & Chill

Michelle Yeoh

Alright we must Hump Day & Chill today to legend Michelle Yeoh winning her first Best Actress Golden Globe at 60 years young for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Michele initially rose to fame in a series of Hong Kong action films where she performed her own stunts. She gained international recognition for the likes of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies.

While I did not watch the Golden Globes I have an even worse confession that I am not too proud of. I have yet to see Everything Everywhere All At Once! It's not that I have no interest, and all my friends who have seen it tell me they know it is something I would like. I just haven't gotten to it yet.

Thus Michelle's win is definitely the catalyst that will make it a priority for me to view.

Congrats Michelle! Time to Hump Day & Chill Minions...

Marquis de Sade's Justine

An Erotic Masterpiece from the Tortured Pen of the Marquis De Sade

Romina Power (18-year-old daughter of Tyrone Power) stars as Justine, a nubile young virgin cast out of a French orphanage and thrust into a depraved world of prostitution, predatory lesbians, a fugitive murderess (Mercedes McCambridge), bondage, branding, and one supremely sadistic monk (an outrageous performance by Jack Palance). It's a twisted tale of strange desires, perverse pleasures and the ultimate corruption of innocence as told by the Marquis de Sade.

JUSTINE is one of the most lavish and bizarre erotic shockers ever made by the notorious Jess Franco (99 WOMEN), bursting with wanton nudity, sexual perversion, and an all-star cast that also includes Akim Tamiroff (TOUCH OF EVIL), Maria Rohm (EUGENIE) and Klaus Kinski (NOSFERATU) as the Marquis de Sade. Also known as JUSTINE AND JULIET, this infamous film is now presented in a brand-new 4K restoration from the uncensored original camera negative with Dolby Vision HDR and loaded with Extras, including the alternate DEADLY SANCTUARY cut in HD for the first time ever!

Just Because...M3gan & Leatherface

M3ganface?!
M3gan & Leatherface

Just Because I really liked the movie, Just Because it is a huge hit at 30 million it's opening weekend and Just Because it's Monday and we all need levity here is an image M3gan & Leatherface photo shopped by author Donnie Goodman.

"Yes" I, like many of you, saw M3gan this weekend and loved it. It was fun, creepy and best of all quite self aware of how silly it actually was which made the movie what it is and then some.

So when I came across this image of Leatherface trying to cut into M3gan's success, well naturally I had to post it, well, Just Because...

Remember Minions, M3gan is family and try to have a terrific week!

The Spirit of 76

Today I choose to remember David Bowie on what would have been his 76th Birthday. Yeah, I know I rarely if ever do this, but there are very few people who have had this much influence over my life.

He was my very first concert that I went and saw without my parents. I have also been lucky enough to have met him. He came into the legendary Tower Records on the Sunset Strip when I worked there back in the day. He was everything you'd imagine he'd be, truly an amazing, humble being.

As I look back on my life, I know part of who I am today is because of Mr. Bowie.

"There's a Starman waiting in the sky, He'd like to come and meet us, But he thinks he'd blow our minds"

Keep on shining Starman, consider my mind blown.
