Nothing Stays the Same celebrates the last 30 years of live music in Austin, Texas, while also examining the challenges faced by musicians and music venues in one of the fastest-growing and most popular cities in the country, all through the lens of the legendary Saxon Pub. With iconic venues closing each year due to rising rents and property taxes in the Live Music Capital of the World, the writing is on the wall for the Saxon Pub, a mainstay in live music since 1990. Soon being forced to a new space - akin to closure for most clubs - its owner, its regulars and staff and its beloved musicians such as local luminaries Joe Ely, Bobby Whitlock, Bob Schneider, Patrice Pike, Guy Forsyth, Hector Ward, Carolyn Wonderland, The Resentments, Johnny Nicholas, W.C. STREET SURVIVORS: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash was scripted and directed by Jared Cohn (Devil's Revenge, Devil's Domain), produced by Brian Perera and co-produced by Tim Yasui for Cleopatra Entertainment. The biopic recreates the story about the ill-fated flight through the eyes of former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle (who narrates the film), who not only survived the plane crash that claimed the life of the band's founder and front man Ronnie Van Zant amongst others, but who also physically pulled the remaining survivors out of the plane wreckage before staggering towards the nearest farmhouse in rural Louisiana to seek help. Pyle also contributes original music to the film's soundtrack.

 

Says Pyle: "This film's story - MY story - is not just about the plane crash but also about my personal relationship with the genius that was Ronnie Van Zant - whom I loved like a brother and still miss to this day."

 

Cleopatra Entertainment completed an international festival run followed by a domestic theatrical run, which included personal appearances by Artimus Pyle, who introduced the film and participated in Q&As with the audience. Pyle also performed a live music concert with this band that featured the hit songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd. A worldwide VOD and home video release which will include a stand-alone official soundtrack CD are coming June 30^th via MVD Entertainment Group.

Now genre fans can gain access to a film library of shocking underground, outrageous gore, creature features, cult classics and much more. Those with a taste for the weirdest and wildest reaches of genre cinema will not be disappointed!   "The bigger platforms are catering to the masses and have gone puritanical in many cases, making it very difficult for filmmakers to reach their audience," says Ed Seaman, C.O.O. of MVD ENTERTAINMENT GROUP. For those out there who are clamoring for that Mike Tyson/Steven Seagal movie, and I am sure there are 2 or 3 of you. Well your wish has finally come true!

CHINA SALESMAN stars Mike Tyson, Steven Seagal, Dong-Xue Li, Janicke Askevold and Li Ai, with Eriq Ebouaney rounding out the cast. It was produced by China's Wanda Corporation, and written and directed by Chinese filmmaker Tan Bing. The film, with a reported budget of over $20 million, premieres theatrically this spring and had previously been a high profile title at last year's AFM.

Based on a true story, CHINA SALESMAN is a film about the dangerous and epic adventure to Africa where a Chinese engineer/salesman comes face-to-face with a corrupt competitor over the contract for the first African mobile telecom technology. Local tribesman Kabbah (Mike Tyson) and mercenary Lauder (Steven Seagal) get drawn into the conflict in a classic, brutal hand-to-hand fight while the entire country faces civil war battles.

CHINA SALESMAN will hit theaters on June 15th and DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD on June 26th.

Pop seductress ONA is treating fans to a visual feast with the launch of 20 scorching-hot music videos to promote her upcoming full-length album, ONAMANIA, out June 8th.

 

Capitalizing on her passionate fan base of over 1.5 million Instagram followers, ONA will stimulate support of ONAMANIA’s sultry songs by unveiling NSFW music videos throughout 2018 as upsells to her mainstream SFW videos.

During one terrifying night after her mother leaves on a business trip, Carrie and her boyfriend conduct an exorcism to rid the house of its supernatural presence. But, instead of purging the spirit, they awaken an even more sinister terror that begins to haunt and torture them. Now, as creepy occurrences lead to full-blown terror, Carrie must confront savage forces to protect her little sister and save their lives.
