Like basically everyone I have put on some weight during the Pandemic, and like basically everyone I am now working on losing it. Well there are some individuals who actually became svelter during this time. One of them happens to be Adele.

While I liked curvy Adele just fine, and judging by here album and concert sales everyone else did too. Her weight loss is the Monday Motivation to inspire mine that I, and perhaps you need (I can't speak to what inspires you, I can only speak to your love for Adele.)

My guess is Adele lost the pounds for herself, without pressure from the entertainment industry since being heavier never stopped her from becoming a superstar.

Therein lies the key to weight loss Minions, trust me from one who lost 50 lbs. you have to be ready to rumble with your bad self and make yourself submit to your desire. 

Monday Motivation indeed, so be it!

A Girl Like Me: Letters To My Lovers also features a gorgeous cover of the Carole King classic, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” "Obviously, I'm a Carole King fan. I love the lyrics, which I think are incredibly relatable in queer relationships and encounters as well as casual moments that may or may not turn into something more. The possibility of a relationship is usually inhibited by social stigma and fear of being seen in public with a trans woman." says Peppermint.

Peppermint’s star continues to rise thanks to her smashing success as the first out trans contestant to be cast on RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 9) where she finished as runner-up in one of the series’ most-talked-about finales Click HERE. Soon after, her talent led her to become the first trans woman to originate a principal musical role (Pythio) on Broadway in the hit Head Over Heels. 

 

In addition, Peppermint recently reunited the Broadway cast of Head Over Heels to perform a medley of Go Go’s hits to help raise funds for the Ali Forney Center which benefits the nation's largest homeless LGBTQ organization.  Appearing in the video alongside Peppermint are cast members Amber Ardolino, Sharon Catherine Brown, Tom Alan Robins, Andrew Durand, Yurel Echezarreta, Lisa Finegold, Brian Flores, Ari Groover, Tanya Haglund, Arica Jackson, Taylor Iman Jones, Jeremy Kushnier, Gregory Liles, Gavin Lodge, Bonnie Milligan,  Samantha Pollino, Justin Prescott, and Rachel York, among others, including Go-Go's members Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine, and Jane Wiedlin.  Watch the performance HERE

Ace’s journey began in Oklahoma. As a child she studied ballet and then later was asked to travel the US assisting top choreographers. She traded the Midwest for Los Angeles and spent years as a professional dancer working with a myriad of music legends such as Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez, Duran Duran and famed director David LaChapelle to name a few. In the midst of her dance career she constantly wrote songs and collected ideas, quietly assembling a sound of her own.

 

After a storied career in the dance world, Ace started creative directing her own stage shows. Performance art, fashion, and visuals now encapsulates Ace’s kaleidoscope of creativity.

National Red Wine Day

T.G.I.F! After the week we have all collectively participated in I bet each and every one of us could use a drink. Can I get a Cheers to that?

Well as luck would have, after a week were the BS is thick, today is National Red Wine Day, stem glass up Minions.

Personally Red Wine is my favorite adult beverage, especially Cabernet Sauvignon. My apologies to Merlot, Sweet Red (ugh) and other similar red blends.

As luck would have it we also get some Eye Candy along with the delectable liquid escape. You've got it it's Ian Somerhalder imbibing in a glass of CS, get lost in his eyes and stay for the wine.

Seriously with those intense baby blues one gets why he was cast as seductive vampire Damon Salvatore om The Vampire Diaries. Yeah, I need to clam down, let the Cabernet Sauvignon flow!

 Since I have not been watching the RNC (like, duh, did you think I would?!) and we need some levity, let's discuss The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, shall we? "Yes" we shall! My takeaway from last night's season finale? Not sure what really went down (entendre intended) between Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville, but the one thing I do know is they were closer friends than Denise let on. OK we've got this!
