Peace Before Police

This post was made by singer/songwriter/activist Ariel Beesley Saturday morning on her Instagram page encouraging people to come down for a peaceful protest. Here is her first hand account of the truth no one is saying regarding it...

Alfresco

Alfresco
Brad Falchuk & Gwyneth Paltrow
With all the turmoil happening in these troubled times I thought it would be a good thing to take a moment and hang out with Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Brad Falchuk and dine Alfresco with them in the back of their car in Santa Monica, CA.

Don't they look so chill and happy? I think they do. Thus this is your assignment today, you have no choice but to accept it.

Find your Happy Place, something that makes you relaxed, something that soothes your inner savage beast

Mine will be to meditate, I lay on my living room floor, close my eyes on focus on all the positive things in my life. It's amazing how I feel after and it really shifts your focus to a good place.

So pack your bags Minions it's time for you to take a trip to your Happy Place. The train has arrived so get on board! Don't forget to take some Alfresco with you!

" A Nation Stands In Need..."

"Where Truth Is The Enemy..."
Jay Jacobson

The byline are the lyrics I am fixated on from Jay Jacobson's latest single These Troubled Times. If you have to ask why, you really haven't been paying attention to the world around you the last few days.

You may recall the interview I did with Jay when the single first dropped, if not, hit the link below:

Jay just dropped a hauntingly beautiful and evocative video to accompany the song of our times.

Hit it after the jump! Stay at home and stay safe 💓

Michael's Musings

Oh, The Scandal!
Michael Shinafelt
And the beat goes on...while things are slowly shifting to a new normal, I continue to work on myself. "Yes" that's what a pandemic is for, among other things. As you can see by the above image I have been playing around with my Instagram apps. The pursuit of excellence never falters, LOL

Yeah, there's that. Time to release the Id!

Woman Crush of the Week - Lady Gaga for "Rain on Me" a great anthem of positivity for these challenging times. "Yes" I know Ariana Grande is part of it too, but she's too young and not interesting enough for me.

I applaud Twitter, if you have to ask why Google that sh!t

Hump Day & Chill

Shaken, Not Stirred
Meryl Streep
During this downtime I've been thinking a lot about one of my favorite old Hollywood haunts Musso & Frank. I miss it, with it's great atmosphere, delicious food and amazing martini's

Thus today's Hump Day & Chill is brought to you by the martini, to be precise the Meryl Martini as concocted by one Meryl Streep during a performance of The Ladies Who Lunch in celebration of Stephen Sondheim's 90th Birthday.

Honestly I do think Streep is missing a branding opportunity here, she really should explore the Meryl Martini concept, I'd bet she'd make a killing doing it.

In the meantime, break out your own martini magic and Hump Day & Chill to one of these absolutely fabulous concoctions.

Make mine gin straight up, two olives please.

Thank You!!!
