Yee Haw! Wonder Woman |
When I was growing up I used to be an avid Comic Book fan. As I got older not so much, but I still have fond memories of the hours of escape they provided me from the world. (given the current state of it perhaps I should go back to reading them) - My two favorites were Batman and Wonder Woman.
Thus you are bequeathed an image from the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 to celebrate today, Yay!
If you can't figure out why Wonder Woman read what I wrote above. It was supposed to come out in June but because of the pandemic it has bee postponed until Christmas day this year. Fingers crossed that it does not get bumped yet again, but I have a hunch it will 😟
That being stated I can't wait for it to actually premiere it's the only movie based on a Comic Book I want to, and will see coming up. As I stated I outgrew my fascination with them and thus I see few films based on them. "Yes" I am discerning.
T.G.I.F. Minions!

Well the scale tipping point has finally been reached, the time has come to focus and lose those pandemic pounds or be victim to gaining more of them and getting bigger. To think I was 50lbs lighter and in great shape this time last year...Good news is, I did it once, I can do it again!

She Is The Champion Zendaya |
While award shows, especially The Emmys are not high on my priority list, I just had to watch them last night in light of the current state of the world to see how they would transpire.
One of my main issues with The Emmys is they usually celebrate work that I have no interest in. Well I am glad I watched last night because one of my favorite actors won for one of my favorite shows.
That's correct Minions, Zendaya won The Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria. Congratulations Ms. Thang, it was well earned!!!
Not only that she made Emmy history by winning for her first Emmy Nomination and being the youngest actress to ever win the category. Not to mention she is the second Black Actress to ever win it, the first being Viola Davis in 2015.
I can't wait for season two of Euphoria!

Danny Huston, Peter Weller and Lisa Enos star in this biting satire on the behind-the-scenes of the Hollywood film industry, with all its drink and drug-fueled excess, from director Bernard Rose (Candyman, Paperhouse). Opening with the death of its titular protagonist, ivansxtc goes back in time to chart the final days of hot-shot Tinseltown agent Ivan Beckman (Huston) and his fast-paced, wheeler-dealer lifestyle, which will ultimately lead him to an early grave after a shock cancer diagnosis. Loosely based on Leo Tolstoy's celebrated 1886 novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich, and featuring a searing performance by Danny Huston at its core and wonderfully sleazy turn from Peter Weller as Ivan's biggest client, ivansxtc is a powerful meditation on life, death and morality set against the glitzy backdrop of La La Land.
