Party In Purple!

Purple People Eater
Angus Cloud

"It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater"

As you may or may not know the Coachella Music Festival is happening in Indio, CA. and Euphoria actor Angus Cloud hit the Neon Carnival in purple, naturally.

Angus portrays drug dealer Fezco on the HBO series.

Honestly for some reason I thought Coachella had been postponed until 2023, but obviously I thought wrong!

From the looks of the to do everyone is having a blast, so perhaps next year...

Happy Monday & party in purple Minions!!!

Hump Day & Chill

Puttin' On The Ritz
Jacob Elordi

While many of you, including myself, are still processing the Oscar telecast, today we choose to accentuate the positive.

That's correct Minions we are going to Hump Day & Chill to that tall drink of water Jacob Elordi. Oh Lordy, it's Elordi!

Jacob best known for his role as Nate Jacobs on Euphoria  was serving up old school Hollywood glamour at the Oscars, looking dashing in a tuxedo at the to do.

Currently Elordi stars alongside Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas in Adrian Lyne's Deep Water on Hulu, which has copious amounts a skin baring. "Yes" we all need Hulu to spy Jacob in various stages of undress right here, right now.

In the meantime we have him in a looking dapper and sexy in this tux.

So Minions you know what time it is don't you? It's time to Hump Day & Chill!!!

Euphoria With A Twist

When Euphoria Met Dynasty

Alright Euphoria fans, like me. Last night's episode was amazing, as per usual. One of the best of a show that is already the best.

Not sure how many of you out there remember the nighttime drama Dynasty, not the reboot currently running on the CW, I am talking the original one from the 80's.

Why am I asking? Well I am assuming you are viewing the very clever piece of pop culture that Internet artist Ronald McDonkey did above of Cassie and Maddy. Well to truly appreciate it you need to be familiar with, well, the original Dynasty.

Ronald's take casts Cassie as Crystal (Linda Evans) and Maddy as Alexis (Joan Collins) from it. Crystal and Alexis were arch rivals. Now I bet you are getting the concept of it, if you hadn't already.

"Yes" Ronald McDonkey does some really cool stuff, and this piece in particular really nails it!

Happy Presidents' Day!

Hump Day & Chill

The Women
Of
Euphoria

While there have been some mixed reactions to the current season of Euphoria I am in the camp that loves it! Especially how the first four episodes were over the top with graphic violence and sex and then episodes five and six became less about shock and awe and more about reality setting in...brilliant!

Thus this group shot of the women of Euphoria is giving me life and it is this week's Hump Day & Chill.

I'm not gonna name all the cast members, if you know, you know. Yeah, I'm not in that giving of a mood this week and this one is for us fans of Euphoria and if you aren't one well then no Hump Day & Chill for you this week, sorry.

So here you go my fellow Euphoria peeps, you know who you are and now it's time to Hump Day & Chill!

"Oh she needs a f#cking exorcism"

Current Feeling: Euphoria!

I Never Promised You A Rose Garden
Sydney Sweeney

OK, by now you all know I am an avid watcher/fan of the HBO series Euphoria. One particular aspect of it I enjoy is how literal the title is. The show dips in and out of consciousness via Zendaya's Rue Bennett.

Last night's episode culminated in an amazing montage that bounces from character to character observing their individual crises via Rue's drug induced lens.

The most stunning for this guy was the vision of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) the heartbroken heartbreaker trapped in her vanity surrounded by garlands and flowers.

If you are a Euphoria fan you will understand the power of this image in the context of the show. If not well, that's fine it's still a powerful vision.

Can you believe it's the last day of January 2022?!

Have a Euphoric week!

Hump Day & Chill

Big Wheel Keep On Turning
Jacob Elordi

Nothing says Hump Day & Chill like this too cool image of Actor Jacob Elordi cruising on his one wheeled skateboard, nothing!

The air of calm and confidence oozes out of every inch of Elordi, he is one mellow fellow, too bad he's not dressed in yellow 😉

Jacob also qualifies for the Hump Day & Chill hall of fame, for starring as Nat Jacobs on the HBO series Euphoria.

"Yes" Minions season two of Euphoria premieres this Sunday, January 9th to be exact and I can't wait!!!

Thus Jacob Elordi wins the trophy this week as one cool Hump Day & Chill dude...

Remember Minions: Never straight always forward

Good Vibrations

Channeling Her Inner Barbarella
Zendaya

With all the chaos in the world there are many great things in life so let's not accentuate the negative shall we? Done!

This image of Zendaya from her Interview Magazine cover story is giving me all the Good Vibrations I need today. The whole pictorial, which is clearly inspired by Jane Fonda in Barbarella is giving positivity and fun on steroids!

I bet you are wondering if I am a Zendaya fan or not. I am, I think she is one of the true contemporary stars we have going. She is beautiful, talented and smart.

Will I be seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home? Not my thing, neither was Dune for that matter. This being stated I can't wait for Lady Z to return to her Emmy Award Winning turn as Rue Bennett on Season 2 of Euphoria witch drops January 9th on HBO.

Enjoy your weekend, and a reminder it's a mere 14 more days until Christmas...

This Is Not Season 2

As far as this guy is concerned Christmas is coming December 6th. That's correct Minions Euphoria is a back for two one hour shows, but it's not season 2.

Unfortunately season 2 got sidelined by you know what, that darn COVID. But fear not until the next season happens we have these upcoming episodes to bridge the gap, fill our addiction, make us want more...Euphoria!

Zendaya who won an Emmy (rightfully so) for her portrayal of Rue has spilled that the first bridge episode is called Part 1: Rue.

In case you haven't picked up on it, to say I am a huge fan of the show would be putting it, well, mildly. I really can't wait for December 6th to come! Not only did I watch the first season when it initially aired I binged it when HBO had a marathon of it.

Euphoria is such a densely packed show that you will see something different upon repeat viewings.

Now THAT's entertainment!

Congratulations Zendaya!

She Is The Champion
Zendaya

While award shows, especially The Emmys are not high on my priority list, I just had to watch them last night in light of the current state of the world to see how they would transpire.

One of my main issues with The Emmys is they usually celebrate work that I have no interest in. Well I am glad I watched last night because one of my favorite actors won for one of my favorite shows.

That's correct Minions, Zendaya won The Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria. Congratulations Ms. Thang, it was well earned!!!

Not only that she made Emmy history by winning for her first Emmy Nomination and being the youngest actress to ever win the category. Not to mention she is the second Black Actress to ever win it, the first being Viola Davis in 2015.

I can't wait for season two of Euphoria!

My Friends Are Internet And I Want To Break You Open

Plug Research Presents
Adult Karate’s Sophomore Album
My Friends Are Internet And I Want To Break You Open
Genres Spanning New Wave, Electronic and Indie/Dream Pop
Set for Release on July 31, 2020
~
Two Advance Singles out June 26 & July 17

Adult Karate (the musical moniker for versatile artist K.C. Maloney) is poised to release his second album, My Friends Are Internet And I Want To Break You Openon July 31, 2020, on tastemaker label Plug Research. More than a year and a half in the making, this new album is a true expression of the artist’s musical evolution, a culmination of both his personal life journey and the integration of his various musical influences. This dynamic, boundary-crossing release defies genre pigeonholing and seamlessly glides between musical styles while Maloney’s candid, sometimes confessional lyrics and reverbed-out vocals hold the whole picture together. Two singles (both with B-sides) will precede the album release: “Euphoria” will be available on June 26, and expect “Keep Your Love” on July 17, 2020. For more information, please visit https://www.adultkaratemusic.com.

K.C. Maloney
My Friends Are Internet… is Adult Karate’s most wide-ranging effort to date, adeptly mixing and crossing over genres from acid house to disco to indie rock, all the while maintaining the kind of tender introspection that lies at the heart of Maloney’s music. Listening to the album, you get the sense that Maloney has hit his stride after working through a troubled past marked by addiction and issues around sexuality and identity—that there has in fact been a kind of trial by musical fire that’s both inspired and fed the artist’s journey through these personal issues/demons. One might interpret Maloney’s musical growth from the first Adult Karate release LXII, which the artist has said was “mostly an excursion into dark electronic music and slowed-down deep house” to the genre-bending ride that is My Friends Are Internet… as the artist’s finding more confident musical footing and integrating all the various aspects of his musical personality into one enthralling whole. The result is a powerhouse of an album—catchy, haunting, introspective, celebratory.
Lead Single “Euphoria” out June 26 - lyric video
Adult Karate’s first single, “Euphoria" (with "Fighters" on the B-side), which comes out this Friday, June 26, is, according to Maloney himself, “by far the poppiest-sounding music I’ve ever written.” Indeed, its four-on-the-floor drumbeat and catchy, Interpol-esque guitar hook recalls the best indie rock of the aughts more than the dark electronic roots where Adult Karate began, but Maloney’s plaintive lyrics and strong vocal performances, along with the crescendo-ing, electronic-leaning choruses, make this one of his crossover-genre masterpieces. “Euphoria” lyrically mines the process of forgetting an ex, a familiar yet timeless subject that Maloney describes poignantly: “It’s not an easy thing to do, but it’s necessary.” It’s a song for shoegazing as much as it is for taking a long, breezy drive with the top down—there’s something in it for fans of genres spanning electronic, dance and rock.
Second Single “Keep Your Love” out July 17
“Keep Your Love”—with "Those Words/Robot 36C" on the B-side—the second single off of All My Friends Are Internet… was born from an idea Maloney originally worked on for his second EP, Indoors. What started out as more of a deep house track grew into more of a “dark disco kind of thing,” with an infectious groove built from live drums and looped guitars layered in lockstep. Outgrowing the house beat and moving toward the organic drum track changed the feel of the song completely, and opened the door for one of the strongest vocal performances on the album. On the lyrics to “Keep Your Love,” Maloney says, “It’s about the passage of time and how unforgiving it can be. Fear of aging and all that. Partly inspired by some health issues I’ve been going through the past few years.”

6th Annual Manatomy Awards

Mr. Man Announces Winners for the 6th Annual
Manatomy Awards

Celebrating Hollywood's Best (Un)dressed Today, Mr. Man revealed the winners of the 6th Annual Manatomy Awards, the only ceremony that shines a spotlight on the past year’s naked male achievements in film and TV.  “For years, nude scenes were primarily the domain of female actresses,” says Phil Henricks of Mr. Man, the world’s leading online library of every male nude scene in the history of film and television.  Millions of fans flock to the site each month.  “That has been changing as each year there are more scenes and actors to choose from. We are celebrating the fine actors who have the balls (pun intended) to go naked.”

Winners were chosen through a comprehensive process that included the editorial, production and marketing teams from Mr. Man.  They selected five contenders for each of their 43 categories and then sat in a conference room, re-watched all the scenes, narrowed down their selections and voted on their winners.  “It got heated in the room,” admits Henricks, citing Jake Gyllenhaal in Velvet Buzzsaw as an example.  “Jake came close, but in the end, it was decided that he didn’t show enough nudity.”

The full list of winners for the 6th Annual Manatomy Awards are available now on MrMan.com.  They include:

·       Best Picture:  Sauvage / Wild, Strand Releasing

·       Best Butt:  Ricky Whittle, American Gods

·       Best Full Frontal:  Jack Reynor, Midsommar

·       Celeb Nude Debut:  Miles Heizer, 13 Reasons Why

·       Best Nudecomer: Nick Clifford, Glow

·       Best TV Show:  Tales of the City, Netflix

·       Best Bulge: Shawn Mendes, Calvin Klein advertisement

·       Biggest Cock:  Aaron Taylor-Johnson, A Million Little Pieces

·       Best Gay Makeout: Taron Egerton and Richard Madden, Rocketman

·       Lifetime Achievement:  Daniel Craig

New categories added in 2020 include:

Best Bloomin' Onion:  Orlando Bloom, Carnival Row

Best Locker Room Scene:  Euphoria

The Best Bloomin' Onion category was specifically created to spotlight Orlando Bloom’s back-side in Carnival Row. Best Locker Room Scene was added to honor the iconic 21-member full frontal scene in Euphoria.

Bye, Bye, Bye November

Slaying!
Zendaya
On the last day of November 2019 heading into the last month of 2019, December I'm feeling somewhat nostalgic. Thus I was thinking about all things that went down this past year and one truth that stood out is: It's Zendaya's world we just live in it.

Think about it, but not too much. She's beautiful, talented, she always slays on the red carpet,  not to mention her career is on fire 🔥

While I had heard of Zendaya it wasn't until her breakout role as Rue Bennett on HBO's Euphoria that she caught my attention. Going forward I was hooked on her/

So let's leave November on a up note with visions of Lady Z dancing in our collective heads.

Sweet dreams and just say "No" to bedbugs!!!
