Hump Day & Chill

Can You Feel It?
Carl Nassib

While I watch football on occasion I am truly not into the sport. The only one I enjoy as a spectator is boxing. Today however we are going to give a Hump Day & Chill to the first openly gay NFL Carl Nassib of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Why you may ask? I'm glad you did. Other than thirst reasons Carl helped his team secure the win this past Monday.

How you may ask? Again I'm glad you did. Apparently Nassib forced a fumble during overtime allowing Quarterback David Car to toss the 31-yard winning touchdown. Now that's team work!!!

“Lot of firsts today,” Nassib said at the post-game press conference. “No one blinked. It was awesome. It was a great team win, for sure.”

Now if that doesn't deserve a Hump Day & Chill I don't know what does.

Score with Carl below...

Who Are You Wearing???

The Crown
Iman

Last night the Met Gala was back! I must say it was truly magical to see everyone dressed to the nines with all the challenges in the world today, a truly great escape.

While all attendees looked amazing and no one faltered, I would like to give honorary notice to Karlie Kloss in her stunning red dress. Leave it to fashion icon Iman to show everyone how it's done.

Iman partnered with designer Harris Reed for a dramatic look made of gold topped off by an equally dramatic gold headpiece.

Hey, there's a reason she is fashion industry royalty and she reminded everyone of this last night. Slay Queen, Slay!!!

Go out and honor your Queen today, and bend it like Iman...!!!

Current Mood

Erotica
Madonna

"Give it up do as I say! Give it up and let me have my way!" - Madonna, Erotica

While I did not catch the VMA's last night, I actually didn't know they were on. That being stated I wouldn't have watched anyway, I'll catch the performances I wanna see on YouTube thank you very much.

There was as per usual a lot of chatter about Madonna's appearance on it on the good ole Social Media platforms. Thus I checked it out.

I likey this Mae West vibe she is giving off. I also likey that it harkens back to the album that I think is her masterpiece Erotica.

Heading into the week this completely embodies my Current Mood. That's correct Minions I am Master of my domain (Hey Seinfeld fans, holla!)

The more you know...

"Once you put your hand in the flame, you can never be the same..."

Sunday Funday

It's Better With A Towel (Not!)
Tom Daley

Trying to beat the heat? Well this isn't going to help, but hey it's sexy and it's Sunday Funday!
So what better way to commemorate it than spending time with Olympic Gold Medal winner Tom Daley in a sauna? I ask you and I'm not really sure why because I know you won't answer.

Look it's Tom wearing nothing but a towel in a thirst photo he posted to his Instagram page. I am sure the towel was put on to make this an IG friendly sort of post. Wanna bet he actually goes sans towel when he is in the sauna for real?

Of course you don't because guess what, we all know 100% he goes bare when he is sweating out those toxins and winding down on Sunday Funday, or any other day for that matter...

So there you have it, this & that!!!

“Red 4 Filth” Album Due early 2022

My Name's Yours, What's Alaska?: A Memoir Arrives November 9, 2021

Star of stage, screen, podcast airwaves and beyond, scalding hot drag superstar Alaska Thunderfuck is about to get even “RED” hotter as she releases her brand new single, “Red” HERE. “Red,” the first track off her forthcoming full length album, Red 4 Filth via PEG Records/Warner Music Group/ADA was written by Justin Honard aka Alaska, Jay Stolar (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), JBach (Chri$tian Gate$), Andrea Rosario (Aloe Blacc), Chester Krupa, Skyler Cocco & Jordan Palmer and produced by Stolar, Jordan Palmer, Krupa & Skyler Cocco.

“Red is the color of blood, and the heart, and the color of love. This song and this album are dedicated to the time when I first fell in love with music — around the turning of the century. We’re drawing upon the sounds and textures of the 90s and early 2000s, with pop songs that are about love and friendship. I love the music and I can’t wait to share it with you all.” says Alaska

The “Red 4 Filth” North American tour is Alaska’s first-ever headlining tour and will feature her performing her entire new album along with other fan favorites with a barrage of sickening high fashion backup dancers (2000’s pop-star style) as well as feature her signature brand of comedy for a must-see show.  Tour pre-registration begins today (9/10) HERE where fans sign-up to be notified/first-in-line to purchase tickets on Monday, September 13. There will be a 10 am PT ticket on-sale access for fans with secret code (sent to people who pre-register); 11 am PT ticket on-sale access for general public.  Ticket prices range from $20.00 for early GA & $25.00 for GA ADV to $95.00 for VIP/M&G and $249 for the Ultimate VIP experience.

The tour will kick off January 19, 2022, in Orlando, FL, with over 30 additional dates throughout the country & Canada, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, and more. A full list of tour dates and venues is below.

In addition to Alaska being one of the most powerful and iconic Drag queens in the galaxy – her captivating story begins as a small-town kid raiding her grandma’s closet. My Name's Yours, What's Alaska?: A Memoir (Chronicle Books / $24.95 / November 9, 2021) is her intimate, alluring tell-all book coming this fall.

Told with signature wit and charm, My Name's Yours, What's Alaska? is an unfiltered look at Alaska’s life and meteoric rise to fame. From childhood struggles to life lessons learned, the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Star shares the challenges, life-changing discoveries, and victories that paved her path to superstardom. Today, she’s a hit recording artist; global, in-demand performer; and heads a podcast network.

Of writing the book she says, "People have often asked me, ‘Alaska- if you were to ever write a book, what would it be about?’ The answer is simple- It would be about me, of course. In this book I plan to tell the T, the whole T, and nothing but the T— so help me Goddess. In telling my life story, from my birth until now, I hope to invite you into my world, to set the record straight, and to inspire the children of the world. Because if a poor skinny queer boy from Erie, Pennsylvania can grow up to be an extra-terrestrial starlet of stage and screen, then truly anus-thing is possible."

In addition to being an entertaining memoir, My Name's Yours, What's Alaska? is an honest, emotionally resonant, funny, and unapologetic celebration of queerness, self-expression, and authenticity. Featuring exclusive photographs and illustrations, My Name's Yours, What's Alaska? is a fun, fresh, and wild ride right up to the finish line.

Film Buff Friday: Legend

"Legend is an impressive technical achievement. Scott is a perfectionist who takes infinite pains to make things look right."

     —Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

After changing the face of science fiction cinema forever with Alien and Blade Runner, director Ridley Scott turned his visionary eye to the fantasy genre, teaming with writer William Hjortsberg (Angel Heart) to create a breathtaking cinematic fairytale with one of the screen's most astonishingly rendered depictions of Evil. In an idyllic, sun-dappled forest, the pure-hearted Jack (Tom Cruise) takes his true love Princess Lili (Mia Sara) to see a pair of unicorns frolicking at the forest's edge. Little do they know, however, that the Lord of Darkness (Tim Curry, in a remarkable make-up designed by The Thing's Rob Bottin) has dispatched his minions to capture the unicorns and sever their horns so that he may plunge the world into everlasting night. After Lili and the unicorns are taken prisoner, Jack must team with a group of forest creatures and descend into Darkness' subterranean lair to face off against the devilish creature before it is too late. Despite a troubled production in which the elaborate full-size forest set was accidentally incinerated and a lengthy post-production that resulted in multiple versions of the film (with competing music scores by Jerry Goldsmith and Tangerine Dream), Legend has since been restored to Scott's original cut and embraced by generations of film fans eager to see a master director's unique vision of a world beyond our imagination.

Michael's Musings

Get The Look
Michael Shinafelt

"Let's get rammin'...You got the look" - Prince

With everything that is orbiting around us in a constant state of disarray the one thing we can all rely on is "The Look." That's correct Minions while we all have many there are certain ones that are more popular than others in our repertoires.

Can you decode what mine above is saying? Think about it, but not too much...

Not to brag but, I've never filled a plastic bag with gasoline or taken medication intended for animals, the more you know

Could someone please explain to me why Sarah Paulson apologized for wearing a fat suit to portray Linda Tripp in American Crime Story Impeachment? Isn't the goal to look like the person you are playing as much as possible?

Go deeper into the madness, descend

Enjoy something sweet today ("Yes" this is open for interpretation) 😉

I could use a good Donna Summer medley about now

The gift of rhyme and a big imagination, get it!

BTW If immigrants are taking all the jobs then why do we have a labor shortage?!

Nobody told me these things sting a little...

Woman Crush of the Week - Garcelle Beauvais for slaying it last night with this look, and for slaying it in general this season on RHOBH

Approach as many moments as you can with curiosity not contempt

Hungry for more, ya know, more!!!

I watched the Labor Day Child's Play marathon, don't judge me

"Trust me you can dance" - Alcohol
