Hump Day & Chill

Just Call Them Angels
l-r
Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson & Jaclyn Smith

I am having the post October let down withdrawals. "Yes" Minions I am missing Scary Season and Halloween something fierce at present.

Thus here is a much needed Hump Day & Chill pick me up. This photo of the original three Charlie's Angels aka The Golden Three as I like to call them, Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson & Jaclyn Smith is certainly helping me beat my post Scary Season blues.

Nothing was like the original Charlie's Angels series it was lightning in a bottle as they say. Not to mention no one will ever top the original trio of bad ass Queens.

So join me in moving on from the most wonderful time of the year and have a holly jolly Hump Day & Chill with Michael and his angels, won't you? Say "Yes" I know you will...

It's Halo Time!

W.O.W.

Shot at the Camden Palace in London during September of 1985 this rare footage captures Wendy and band during an epochal point in her career of which there is very little other footage around. Having been called the "Queen of Punk Rock" in the early stages of her career, by this time known as the "High Priestess of Metal", gotten a Grammy Nomination for the Gene Simmons (of KISS) produced "WOW" album and just released her speed metal album "Kommander of Kaos". In top form here, Wendy's scorching vocals are punctuated by her famous backbend screams. The show features Motorhead (Lemmy and Wurzel) joining Wendy onstage for "Jailbait", and also includes a performance of "You'll Succeed", a crowd favorite that never made it to an album of the Wendy's. The show, originally broadcast throughout Europe on Sky TV. was Directed by Plasmatics creator, Rod Swenson, and Produced by Phillip Goodhand-Taite.

The Black Cat Says...

Mr. Black

Who says Black Cats are bad luck?! Not me, especially not today  Satan. Why not today? I'm glad you ask because Mr. Black, as I call him is here to let you know Purrrrfectly that tomorrow is Halloween!

Are you ready? I am, can't wait for the spirit world to open and to reconnect with it.

BTW even though that doesn't happen until he stroke of midnight on Halloween, I did celebrate Day of the Dead last night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

It was amazing to be a part of a long standing Spanish tradition.

Until tomorrow, scare ya later Minions!

Saturday Selfie

Freak Out!
Michael Shinafelt

Two more days until Halloween Minions!!! While walking I spied this hedge that reminded me of the one Michael Myers peers from behind in Halloween. Thus I decided I needed to take a Halloween themed selfie.

How do you like it? It's like a hybrid of Pennywise & Satan doing the Michael Myers creeper hedge move.

Well whatever your thoughts, it's definitely in keeping with Spooky Month.

Speaking of which, I will be attending the Day of the Dead celebration tonight at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. If you see me say "Hi"

Judgement Day

Matt Sorum, the Grammy-winning drummer of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, has signed with AFM Records for his first-ever album with his all-star musical collective, Kings of Chaos.

The first single HERE and video HERE from Kings of Chaos is available October 28. Titled “Judgement Day”, the song is a scorching rocker performed & co-written by Sorum, Slash, Dave Kushner & Duff McKagan featuring the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer on drums, as well as lead vocals.

“Drawing inspiration from the 1971 film Vanishing Point morphed with imagery inspired by Natural Born Killers, Director Brian Cox (Bring Me The Horizon, Cypress Hill, The Misfits) and I conceptualized a man running from his demons on a wild ride to find redemption guided by The Reverend Willy G (portrayed by Billy F Gibbons), an Angel (portrayed by Matt's fashion designer, choreographer wife Ace Harper) on a motorcycle and his inner child. A Wayward Wanderer searching for the light” says Matt Sorum of the video.

The debut album from Kings of Chaos is set for release in Autumn/Winter 2023. Expect original music and guest collaborations with some of rock’s biggest names — including some of today’s most talented and iconic female artists.

From the Sunset Strip to South Africa, Argentina and Brazil, Kings of Chaos have enthralled fans around the world with their ever-changing lineup of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and multi-platinum artists. If you’ve been lucky enough to score a ticket to a KoC show, you might have caught Billy Idol, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith or Ann Wilson from Heart fronting the band — or even Corey Taylor from Slipknot, or the late Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. And yes, that was Slash on lead guitar — or Brian May from Queen, or Billy F Gibbons from ZZ Top. It’s a party on stage, and everyone’s invited.

“It’s a celebration with your bucket list artists you’ve always wanted to play with,” Sorum says.
