“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.”

― Oscar Wilde

Indeed fall is now here and I'm ready for change. Fall teaches us the beauty of letting go, with nature giving us a magical example, the trees. Honestly I'm ready to let go, I even have a tattoo that says "Just Let Go."

Time to put into action what I have inked on my upper left arm Minions, you've got this!

What's the difference between a narcissist and flying pig? The letter F.

A Haunted House with people you haven't spoken to since High School pitching you pyramid schemes, discuss...

There will never be anything like 80's horror again, the more you know

You may be cool, but not Edward G. Robinson dancing with Raquel Welch cool

Did you know that Thelma Harper's house on Mama's Family was Lynda's house in the original Halloween? Now you do!!!

Lynda Carter schooled Kari Lake and it was epic

Belated birthday wishes to Olivia Newton-John who would have been 75 this past Tuesday

Do people even eat Sauerkraut anymore? Asking for a friend

Woman Crush of the Week - Marilyn Monroe arriving in Nevada to start production on The Misfits in 1960

The punchline is too long, that's all...

Gen Z kids will never know of 1991's17 week long reign of terror brought on by Bryan Adams and the Robin Hood soundtrack. You had to be there!

One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day

Going to Namaste this morning with Jay at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Then there's what's happening this evening, "Yes" it's happening...

Hump Day & Chill

"I can buy myself flowers, Write my name in the sand, Talk to myself for hours, Say things you don't understand" Flowers, Miley Cyrus

We all know the awesome hit song Flowers by Miley Cyrus, it's a favorite of mine. Well now we are going to take an unexpected turn into Flower Land. It's time to Hump Day & Chill to "Eaten By Flowers."

As I was on one of my many walks through the City of Angels I spied this stencil on the ground and snapped a photo of it, and "Yes" that is my bare foot next to it.

What does it actually mean?! Hell if I know, but it's meaning can take on many forms and that's the beauty of it. It means what you want it to mean.

I know you want to know what I personally think it's meaning is, I was going to tell you but I think you should just think about it while you Hump Day & Chill.

PS go buy yourself some flowers today too!!!

Monday Motivation

Not sure this is really Monday Motivation, why don't we call it a Monday Reality Check? Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket!

Listen to what Morticia has to say, she knows of what she speaks. I base this on personal experience.

What kind of experience is that you ask? Well let's put it this way I have first hand round the clock experience to be precise.

"Yes" I had the extreme displeasure of being around someone who is exactly what Ms. Addams describes above. I highly do not recommend the experience.

Thus the moral of today's reality check is beware of the close minded ones, their mouths do run on and on like they have something to say and the knowledge to back. Truth? they have neither.

Have an amazing week and take care of yourselves!!!

Silly Sunday

Name That Tune

"The tide is high, but I'm holding on, I'm gonna be your number one" - The Tide Is High, Blondie

Saw this meme and thought it was hilarious! Also true the fact that I found it hilarious means I am old.

For those who may not be old let  me break this meme down for you. We have Debbie Harry frontwoman for the group Blondie. A case of Tide up on high shelf. Thus referencing the Blondie song The Tide Is High.

Simple no?

Everyone needs levity, thus I felt the need to share the silliness, hence Silly Sunday.

Now get out there and live, love and laugh!

Bi, Bi, Bi

Tyler Blackburn

Guess what today is Minions??? It's Celebrate Bisexuality Day! I know a handful of bisexual beings and I would have to say if there is one quality that I wished I had, being fluid would be one of them.

Thus with admiration and respect I am commemorating this day.

Since I am a big Pretty Little Liars fan and am currently binging the series for a second go, I thought I would pick Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers) as the poster guy for today.

Here's what he had to say about the subject in a 2019 interview with The Advocate:

"I'm queer. I've identified as bisexual since [I was] a teenager," he said. "I just want to feel powerful in my own skin, and my own mind, and in my own heart."

Perfectly stated Mr. Blackburn, that's all anyone wants for themselves.

Time to celebrate!

The Desperate Hours

Director William Wyler (Detective Story, Roman Holiday) pairs up two Hollywood legends - Humphrey Bogart (Casablanca) and Fredric March (The Best Years of Our Lives) - for their only appearance together. The result is an electrifying tour de force pitting two giants of the silver screen against each other. Three escaped cons, led by the ruthless Glenn Griffin (Bogart), force their way into a suburban home, intending to hide out while they await the arrival of an all-important package. But what should have been an overnight stay extends into a protracted hostage situation, pitting Glenn against the embattled family patriarch, Daniel Hilliard (March) - a man with everything to lose. Adapted by Joseph Hayes (The Third Day) from his own novel and stage play and inspired by actual events, The Desperate Hours is a classic tale of suspense from a master filmmaker at the height of his creative powers, now fully restored from the original VistaVision negative.
