Hello 2022

Last night I celebrated NYE like a sensible human being and spent it on the couch watching Miley's New Year's Eve Party with Miley Cyrus & Pete Davidson.

While others took in the likes of Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper. Whoever you watched and whatever you did I hope today finds you safe and healthy. 

Thus I thought we should kick off the first day of 2022, New Year's Day as the masses call it, with an icon for the ages, Ms. Marilyn Monroe.

"Yes" Marilyn is in the house to represent January 2022! Who am I kidding she's here to represent for the whole year of 2022 adjacent to my desk because "Yes" I bought an MM 2022 calendar 😎

Here it be, the last day of 2021, and aren't you happy?! Honestly with the way things are going I am indifferent at best. I also suspect that I really don't have to delve into the reasons why as I am sure my indifference is a universal experience.

I am celebrating the best way possible IMO, I am hitting the gym this morning and then stopping by Trader Joe's on my way home to pick up some NYE treats for the evening.

Basically I am staying in with a friend to celebrate and watching Miley's New Years Eve Party hosted by Miley Cyrus (duh) and Pete Davidson.

While this may not be living large with everything happening in the world at present I am winning by celebrating this way.

Thus whatever your plans tonight, be safe and stay healthy and don't let the bed bugs bite...Ouch!

"Sit tight and assess" - pretty mediocre approach when you really think about it. Well don't think about it too much Minions, none of us is mediocre unless we allow ourselves to be. Make every moment count even the seemingly, well, "mediocre" ones...and while you're at it I'd like a grilled cheese sandwich, thanks!

Who Wears Short Shorts

I stopped immediately in my snow tracks upon seeing Kevin Hart out and about in Aspen, CO bundled from the waist up, yet from the waist down wearing shorts, well, in the snow, naturally.

Kevin is a man after my own heart (pun intended) for years, and presently, I always keep it thermal from the waist up, yet prefer to wear shorts in frigid temps as well.

Yeah, I've weathered my share of comments about it (as I am sure Kevin has too) but who cares, I love it!!!

Something about the cold air on my skin exhilarates me! Not to mention shorts are simply so damned comfortable.

What's that you say? Why don't I go lighter in the covering department on my upper half? Well Minions it's because I genuinely get cold from the waist up when the temperature drops. From the waist down I can take it and am good to go.

Clear and sunny with a side of chilly temperatures really make for an awesome winter day IMO. "Yes" I left out the "H" because there is nothing humble about this opinion...

Guess what today is Minions? If you haven't figured it out already it's National Fruitcake Day! 

Have any of you out there had Fruitcake? I know it is real, but I have never seen one or had one during the Holiday Season. Fruitcake is like a Unicorn to me, mythical. 

Anyway in honor of this unique day I am serving up nostalgia Pee Wee Herman style. Remember his Christmas Special where everyone kept giving him Fruitcake as a gift and he put them to good use by having hunky construction workers build a new wing on to the Playhouse made of mass quantities of them?

Well I do and that's what the image above is for the potentially uninitiated of you Minions.

So bend it like Pee Wee and celebrate today with one, or many Fruitcakes and please send some my way while you are at it I need to get a taste of that sometime...
