Sunday, March 8th 2020

Cheers To Sunday, March 8, 2020
Kris Jenner
You  may be scratching your collective heads as to why I would simply title a post after the day, date and year it is. Well because Sunday, March 8th 2020 is an oddly event filled day, Usually you get one big to do going on, today in my world there are four, count em', four!!!

Let's start with the obvious, Daylight Savings Time. Remember to "Spring Forward" peeps. The second obvious on is it's International Women's Day. The third is obvious to those living in Los Angeles and participating in the Los Angeles City Marathon. Last but not least, on this event filled day, it's my Mom's Birthday to top it all off...Phew!

Which brings as to why I am using an image of Kris Jenner to cover it all. Whilst on Twitter this quote by her came through my feed via E!News "If somebody says no, you’re asking the wrong person."

This quote hit me where it counts, say what you want about Kris Jenner, but seriously this is amazing in it's simplicity and it's true.

I thought to myself, "This applies to the plethora of activity seizing the day" Now get out there and grab life by the _________ give it a name, it, like the day is yours minions...own it!

Midnight Sun

Don't Feed Them After Midnight
Bella Thorne & Patrick Schwarzenneger
Being that it is the first day of Daylight Savings Time I thought it appropriate to do a post on the movie Midnight Sun, because, duh, we will be getting more sunshine. Not all the way until midnight, but it has been know to happen 'til 8 pm.

The plot goes like this:

"MIDNIGHT SUN is a romantic tearjerker about 17-year-old Katie Price (Bella Thorne), sheltered at home since childhood with a rare genetic condition, a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Having only her father Jack (Rob Riggle) for company, Katie's world opens up after dark when she ventures outside to play her guitar. One night, her dreams come true when she’s noticed and asked out by her longtime crush Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she’s secretly watched from her bedroom window for years. As they embark on nightly summer excursions, Katie’s risk to sunlight grows and she’s presented with the gut-wrenching dilemma of whether she can live a normal life with her newfound soul mate."

Well Katie good luck with the time change. Not sure how that is going to work for you.

This being stated I happen to like Bella Thorne. She is one of the more interesting actresses in young Hollywood. She not only is beautiful, she also possesses talent and and charisma.

So there you have that.

Enjoy the time change today???

Spring Forward!

Spring Has Sprung
Kristen Stewart
Tomorrow for a a lot of the world, not all of it. Daylight Savings Time begins, so it is written and so it shall be.

Kristen Stewart with a bare midriff, enjoying an iced beverage in perpetually sunny Los Angeles sums up the feeling of Spring, therefore I chose her image of her to represent! Spring that is.

Springing Forward is my favorite time of year, I love the extra hours of light heading into the later part of the day.

Forget Falling Back, which really has a negative connotation to it, as it should it represents darkness and there is plenty of that happening. Springing Forward has a positive connotation to it, not to mention more light, which tends to make us lighter in general.

So lighten up & don't forget to Spring Forward tomorrow!

Michael's Musings

Taste The Rainbow
Michael Shinafelt
"When a rocket blows and, and everybody still wants to fly, Some say man ain't happy truly until a man truly dies, Oh why, oh why? Sign o' the times, unh" - Sign O' The Times, Prince

Wow! What a week this has been! First let me start things off by stating I finally followed through on something that I have always thought about doing but never have. I took a boxing class at Gold's Gym Hollywood this past Tuesday night with my friend Maresa Wickham

Let me say this about the experience, it was exhilarating! So much so that when I did yoga yesterday morning, it's held in the same room as boxing. I kept looking over at the punching bag off to the side wanting to go a few rounds with it.

There you have it, and here we go!

The Globe is really desperate for gossip. The headline I saw in the checkout line at my local Smart & Final read: "Dying Camilla Plans Her Own Funeral." Like no on has ever done THAT before!

Seriously Ryan Murphy? This past weeks American Horror Story: Cult featuring Charles Manson as part of the story line was on a lame par with the Valerie Solanas episode, and in bad taste in so many ways, I can't even!!!

Danica Roem is the first transgender woman to win a seat as an official in Virginia over opponent Bob Marshall who tried to pass laws discriminating against her. History and the greater good have been served.

It's raining diversity hallelujah!

Jenny Durkan an out Lesbian has been elected Mayor of Seattle. My home area, yay!

Byline: "Grey's Anatomy Will End if Ellen Pompeo Quits." I didn't know the show was still on, let alone it actually having an audience that tunes in.

Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire...
Mike Clifford
Mike Clifford's wonderful rendition & video of The Christmas Song drop this Wednesday November 15th. Keep up with Mike at: https://www.facebook.com/MikeCliffordsWonderfulWorld/

Daylight Savings Time ended this past weekend. Has anyone ever asked daylight if it really wants to be saved?

If you had a Guardian Angel what do you think they would do? What would mine do? Be spent 24/7

Speaking of 24/7 things: pizza, yes pizza you are always on my mind

Lyrics are really hard to decipher in songs you don't know. I swear there is a song I hear in Jessica's spin class @ Gold's Gym Hollywood that has the refrain: "When I put my titties on"

This week everything has been coming up Unicorns...go team uni!

Turn Back Time, With Cher

Turn Back Time,
Please Cher
Tomorrow daylight savings time ends. Yeah, I know, don't you hate that? This year instead of riding on a bummer about it, I decided to make it a fun little party of sorts.

How you may ask? How about we turn back time with ten quotes from Singer/Academy Award winning actress of the song about past regret, Cher!

Isn't this much more entertaining than being annoyed with it like most of us usually are?

Happy Saturday before the end of time!

Until you're ready to look foolish, you'll never have the possibility of being great.

Hate crimes are the scariest thing in the world because these people really believe what they're doing is right.

I've always taken risks, and never worried what the world might really think of me.

I am never offended when I see the drag-queens dressed up like me.

The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing - and then marry him.

If you're black in this country, if you're a woman in this country, if you are any minority in this country at all, what could possibly possess you to vote Republican?

Anyone who's a great kisser I'm always interested in.

I keep coming back because I have no place else to go. What else would I do? I love to sing.

People are negative no matter what you do.

I'm amusing and crazy on Twitter. I talk about important things, stupid things.
