"Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine, They say I better stop or I'll go blind" - She Bop, Cyndi Lauper
Tis the Merry, Merry Month Of May! Do you know why it's so merry? Well I'll give you some hints. Cyndi Lauper is singing about it in the her song She Bop (think about the lyrics above, but not too much)
Madonna has simulated it in concert and in the image above. "Yes" May is a month long worldwide celebration of the big "M"
Now I'm not going to expand on what the big "M" is. Not because I am uncomfortable saying it, because it's more fun to be somewhat subtle and cryptic.
In case you still don't get it, here is a link to Planned Parenthood below to spell it out for you...

It's official. Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights!
Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning artist and activist Cyndi Lauper has designed and released her official “Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights” t-shirt. Inspired by the menagerie of protest signs using this empowering slogan during the worldwide Women’s March that took place on January 21st, Cyndi has partnered with Omaze in honor of Women’s History Month to raise vital funding for Planned Parenthood and the True Colors Fund.
“As I marched down the streets of New York City in January amongst a beautiful array of people of every sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and nationality, I was blown away to see so many people embracing the message of “Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights’ on their handmade signs,” said Cyndi Lauper. “Seeing this anthem continue to empower so many people to speak out and get involved, I was inspired to find new ways to further spread this powerful message of equality and justice for all. I am hopeful that this t-shirt will raise much needed funds to support the important work of Planned Parenthood and the True Colors Fund.”
Cyndi’s official “Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights” t-shirt is available starting today at www.omaze.com/fun and can be purchased for $25. A sweatshirt is also available for $39. The net proceeds from each t-shirt and sweatshirt sold will be donated to Planned Parenthood and the True Colors Fund.

About True Colors Fund The True Colors Fund, co-founded by Cyndi Lauper, works nationally to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth. In America, up to 40 percent of the 1.6 million youth that are homeless each year identify as LGBT. Yet, only seven percent of the general youth population is LGBT. The most cited reason for this disproportionate rate is family rejection due to the young person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Through a broad continuum of advocacy, training & education, and youth collaboration programs, the True Colors Fund is creating a world in which all young people can be their true selves. Critics are raving about the pop star’s unique approach to country classics:
“The singer confidently twangs and yodels her way through covers of everyone from Patsy Montana to Patsy Cline.” Benjamin Lindsay, Vanity Fair
“Her new release, Detour, an album full of classic country song covers, is less an indicator of the veteran pop star’s desire to change genres than it is a sincere homage to a dozen tunes she grew up listening to on a transistor radio in her aunt’s kitchen and falling in love with.” – Chapman Baehler, Billboard Magazine
“Lauper and Norman native Vince Gill work together to cover ‘You’re the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly,’ … The song is a rollicking and infectious version of the 1978 country B-side recorded by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty.” Ben Luschen, Oklahoma Gazette

Yeah, I was more than a little blind sided when Cyndi Lauper announced that her latest effort would be a "Detour" into country music of all things. If you are a Cyndi or country fan, get yourself "Detour" and get it now! Being a person who loves Patsy Cline I am particularly partial to Lauper's covers of Walkin' After Midnight & I Fall To Pieces. Below is the track listing for "Detour" and Cyndi's tour dates. Jason Walker Jason Walker has a new single out! Aren't you "So Happy"???
Two-time Grammy nominated dance producer Tony Moran and Out Music Award winner Jason Walker unite on the season’s most powerful pop-dance record, “So Happy”. Written by Tony Moran and Chris Willis – the American gospel singer turned electronic dance music phenomenon for his work with David Guetta - the epic single features an amazing vocal performance by Jason Walker, a superstar collection of remixes and a visionary music video by Karl Giant. “So Happy” is available now on iTunes.
So Happy
“With all that's happening in the world today, isn't that what everyone wants: to be happy and feel good,” wonders Jason Walker from his home in New York City. “The dance floor is my happy place. It’s where I can forget my troubles and let the music take over. For me, music is the universal truth and when a hard beat pulses through my body, there is simply no better feeling than that. My hope is that ‘So Happy’ lifts listeners to their own place of pure joy.”
When deciding on a location to shoot the song’s music video, videographer Karl Giant – who has shot videos for Cyndi Lauper, Ultra Nate, and The One’s - had in mind a destination that was a bit grander in scale than a dance floor. He whisked Walker to a land of breathtaking panoramas and transcendent realities.
“We went to the Salt Flats in Utah!” Walker explains. “It turned out to be one of the most exhilarating, life-changing experiences ever. Five days in the desert was insanely riveting.”

Lauper says recording a country album is something she’s dreamed about for many years. Growing up, she recalls listening to singers like Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Wanda Jackson in her Aunt Gracie’s kitchen. “When I was a really young kid, country music was pop music, so this is what we grew up listening to. These songs are part of some of my earliest memories so it has been an absolute thrill to revisit them.”
Lauper sounds right at home from the start, beginning with the album opener, “Funnel Of Love,” a track Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly, recorded in 1960. Another highlight is the rollicking take on “Heartaches By The Number,” a country standard previously covered by everyone from George Jones to Waylon Jennings to Dwight Yoakum. DETOUR also features stunning covers of two classic Pasty Cline songs, “Walkin’ After Midnight” and her #1 smash, “I Fall To Pieces.” Lauper says, “I spent a lot of time in my room singing with Patsy. I had to sing a Patsy Cline song – or two – because her voice was like one of my girlfriends. That’s how close I felt to her.”
For the album, Lauper duets with several special guests, including country music royalty: Emmylou Harris (on the title track), Willie Nelson (“Night Life,” a song he wrote over 50 years ago), Vince Gill (Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty’s “You’re The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly”) and Alison Krauss (Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas.” Jewel also makes an appearance on DETOUR, showcasing her prodigious yodeling skills on “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart,” which was the first country song by a woman to sell one million copies.

They Just Wanna Have Fun! Team HeartBreak & William Belli
Team HeartBreak Follows Up Their Breakout Hit With “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun"
...The Second Single From Their New Album, “Sassy Summer Sounds”
It's summertime and the boys are easy...
The fun-loving bro bud duo known as Team HeartBreak returns with the wildest party anthem of the summer. “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun” is the male perspective to Cyndi Lauper’s preeminent girl power track. It expertly mashes 80’s era guitar riffs with the huge dance drops of today. “Cyndi Lauper’s song is timeless,” explains Caleb, “one of the best ever made, but what about us? Boys wanna have fun too!” He says he and Brian relate to Cyndi Lauper as an artist: her crazy hair, untamed attitude, and her strong support of the LGBTQ community. “We wanted to make something even Cyndi would rock out to,” he adds. Team HeartBreak’s "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun" is available now on iTunes along with the entire “Sassy Summer Sounds” album.
“What happened to fun, happy bands like The Cars, Pet Shop Boys, and Wham?” wonders Brian, the other half of Team HeartBreak. “It doesn’t matter when you were born, I think everyone can appreciate fun, carefree music.”
“We all wanna get loud, dance, down some drinks, turn speakers up, and blow off steam, but at the same time we all want to connect with somebody and share an experience,” continues Caleb. “We created ‘Boys Just Wanna Have Fun’ with the intention to capture the spirit of a super fun pool bash that everyone wanted to be at. When we say ‘Come and have a drink with us’, we mean it! ‘Boys Just Wanna Have Fun’ is an all inclusive party and you’re invited.”
Boys often get a bad rap for not being very deep and Team HeartBreak pokes fun at the stereotype. “The subtext of the song is definitely boys just wanna f**k…I mean, freaking have fun!” laughs Brian.
The video stars Willam Belli, the breakout star from RuPaul’s Drag Race, along with her girlfriend, the nontraditional beauty GlamourBear, a seasoned San Francisco performer that the boys pulled out of retirement. The video also features a bevy of party kids soaking up the sun.
“We want everyone to feel a part of our world because, to us, they are,” explains Caleb. He admits to feeling like an outcast most of his life, until he met Brian. “Somehow, we met and we didn't have to explain ourselves to each other. We just got it.”
The guys describe themselves as “brothers from another mother”. They both enjoy dying their hair rainbow colors. They also occasionally wear female clothing. And they sleep with Hello Kitty and My Little Pony dolls.
“We don’t believe in traditional gender roles. We like poking fun at them any chance we get,” says Brian. “I mean, who needs gender roles when you have pizza rolls? Have you tasted those things? They're seriously bomb!”
Caleb and Brian produce, write, sing and remix all of their music themselves: every song, every note. They play all their own instruments as well, and even do their own sound design from the ground up. “We will spend hours crafting a synth sound or a kick drum until we think it’s perfect and unique,” explains Caleb.
“We may not take ourselves seriously, but we take our music very seriously,” confirms Brian.
Boys Just Wanna Have Fun! “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun” follows Team HeartBreak’s hit single release from earlier in the summer, “Do iT Like Miley”. The track was years in the making. By the time the guys entered the recording studio with “Boys”, they were raring to knock it out of the ballpark.
Caleb immediately took off his pants; he prefers to record in his underwear. All was going smashingly well until he decided to hoist himself onto a stool in front of the mic. The stool tipped over and Caleb came crashing down. The boys couldn’t stop laughing as Caleb hung upside down in his drawers. “He couldn’t walk for a week,” remembers Brian.
But he finished all his takes that day. Caleb’s dedicated like that.
Team HeartBreak’s "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun" is available on iTunes now, along with the Sassy Summer Sounds album. The boys love to talk to fans. Say hi and tell them you love their music on their facebook page: facebook.com/thbreak. You can also follow them for sexy and hilarious pics on instagram.com/thbreak and twitter @thbreak.
