Jamie Lee Curtis For The Win

Yes!!!
Jamie Lee Curtis

I predicted Jamie Lee Curtis would win Best Supporting Actress for Everything Everywhere All At Once at the Oscars and I was correct indeed! (it's clear by Angela Bassett's reaction she thought otherwise.)

"Yes" I am a big fan of Jamie's and not too coincidentally a HUGE fan of the Halloween movies starring her. She's been long overdue for this kind of recognition and by damn she finally got it.

Of course she gave a heartfelt and amazing speech, that's always the icing on the cake of these shows, the speeches (for the most part.)

While I am a fan of her work outside of the Halloween series as well, one of the best parts of her speech was when she thanked the fans of the franchise. Rightfully so, it's because of the success of the 2018 Halloween reboot that she had a career resurgence that opened doors for new opportunities including the role that lead to her winning an Oscar.

Not only did I predict she'd win, I was rooting for her!!!

Film Buff Friday: Man Of A Thousand Faces

A thousand faces?! Wow! Most people only have two...

One screen legend pays homage to another in Man of a Thousand Faces, an enthralling biopic which sees Oscar-winning tough guy James Cagney give a multifaceted portrayal of silent cinema legend Lon Chaney. In early horror classics such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of The Opera, Lon Chaney captivated audiences with his vivid personifications of grotesque and afflicted characters. His extraordinary make-up skills, and miraculous ability to completely transform into grisly yet sympathetic and tragic monsters, garnered him international acclaim and the famous moniker of this film's title. Yet, despite his talent and success, Chaney led a life plagued by hardship and heartache. This insightful film-portrait traces the trajectory of the actor's career: from impoverished vaudeville clown to Hollywood stardom, whilst also capturing the drama that surrounded his private life. The film is presented here for the first time in dazzling High Definition, with a selection of revealing extras.

Bonus Materials

Strike A Pose

Fly High
Sylvester Stallone
"Gonna fly now, Flying high now, Gonna fly, fly, fly" - The Theme From "Rocky"

Surfing the WWW one can without any doubt turn up some amazing and unexpected things. Such as this image of Sylvester Stallone posing with the statue of himself as his character Rocky Balboa from the iconic Best Picture Oscar Winner Rocky in Philadelphia.

"Yes" the film came out in 1976 minions. This being stated it still packs a punch (pun intended) - it's an underdog tale that inspires one to be their personal best.

Let this image be your inspiration. I know it's motivating me as I am waking up and headed to the gym for some boxing, arm work & spin. I am a brute and take no prisoners

Seize the day people! It's the only April 8, 2018 you are you are ever going to have so make it yours!

Hump Day & Chill

Perfectly Unconventional
Jared Leto
Since he showed up to the Grammy's wearing a gender bending outfit by Helmut Lang designer Shayne Oliver complete with high heeled boots, I have Jared Leto vibes this week.

Jared has kept a pretty low profile post his Oscar win for Dallas Buyers Club with the exception of portraying the Joker in Suicide Squad. Yeah, I know he was in Blade Runner 2049 but he was on the down low about it.

While Leto is a pretty man, he is definitely one of the more quirky/unique actor/rockers in Hollywood

Honestly I wouldn't want him any other way. I generally don't go for the pretty ones unless there is that certain something that sets them apart, Jared has that and well a big you know what (look it up online, he does!) You just know he would be a freak in the sheets and keep you entertained for hours with his non-linear stream of consciousness musings.

I used to see him wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses sitting against a wall at Gold's Gym Hollywood on his cell phone from time to time. Uh, that is not a disguise Mr. that draws attention, not deters it.

Jared has the "IT" factor (no I'm not referring to Pennywise) in spades.

Moving on, it's time to get your hump on and enjoy the image of Jared nude above...Woof!

It's Hammock Time!

Put The Lime In The Coconut...
Brie Larson
Another week another shit show in the US of A. With all of the turmoil surrounding our daily lives wouldn't it be nice to get away? You don't have to go far, to tune out. Find a hammock, a coconut and a good book and bingo! Staycation!

Put this image of Oscar Winner Brie Larson doing just that on your visualization board as something to aspire to this weekend.

See how content she looks? She may be at the beach, which is something you can add as well to the mix. However if you are unable to reach the beach, try another tranquil location, heck even being in your bedroom shutting out the world is a very peaceful substitute.

I know I personally find my refuge taking a spin class. However this weekend I'm going to try a book on the couch in addition to it. You know, up the ante a little.

T.G.I.F! The word of the day is: rejuvenate!

Grace Jones

Grace Jones as a vampire in Keith Haring make-up = awesome!!!

THE FIRST KISS COULD BE YOUR LAST!

Two fraternity pledges head to a seedy part of town to find some entertainment for their college friends but are faced with bloodthirsty vampires! Keith (Chris Makepeace, Meatballs) and AJ (Robert Rusler, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge) want to make the right impression at college and so they devise a plan to get them into the best frathouse on campus. I'm Going To Disneyland!

Lupita Nyong'o
"First trip to #Disneyland!!! #myfirstears. Mummy, this is for you! #d23expo @disneystudios,"

Oscar winner for 12 Years A Slave Lupita Nyong'o had quite the weekend. Like a virgin she went to Disneyland for the very first time.

Flashing a big smile for the camera Lupita proves the Magic Kingdom is the happiest place on earth.

She was also the unofficial Queen of the D23 Expo promoting her upcoming projects from the House of Mouse: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Jungle Book and The Queen of Katwe.

Wow! No wonder she took a ride on Space Mountain!

Jared Leto, Why? Because I Can...

Jared Leto: Making 2015 A Hot Year!
This hot & sexy photo of Jared Leto that has been making the rounds on the Internet caught my eye for obvious reasons, therefore I decided to post it.
Why? Do you really need to ask? But if you insist on an explanation: BECAUSE I CAN!

Leto tweeted this photo and put a smile on people's face the first week of 2015.

An Oscar winner, the lead singer of the band 30 Seconds to Mars and hot. Jared has it all and can share it with me anytime.

Happy Hump Day indeed!

I know you all want to follow Jared on Twitter now, here is his account:
