Sometimes life does not go at the pace we want. But you know what, you have to accept it.

I've lost a mere 25 lbs. I would have liked to have shed more by now, but...

Seeing Red (Sparrow)

Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow
Jennifer Lawrence & Joel Edgerton
Here we are at the premiere of Red Sparrow in London yesterday. Red Sparrow opens March 2 and stars Jennifer Lawrence as some sort of dominatrix spy who kicks ass at here job, but actually has a conscience. Um, not sure how that's going to work when jobs like that usually require the constitution of a robot, but if she didn't have any moral compass there would be no movie.

See Jennifer smile, See Jennifer with her co-star Joel Edgerton on the red carpet, See them enjoying shits & giggles at the London launch (say that three times fast, I dare ya.)

Moving on up I presume. Personally I am on the fence about this one, it would have to get spectacular reviews for me to even consider stepping foot into a theater. Isn't that always the case with me? Nod your head "yes."

This being stated I am sure Jennifer will knock it out of the park!

Namaste.

Monday Motivation

Yoga Guy
Robert Downey Jr.
While I know today is Presidents' Day, that does not mean it is necessarily time off from the gym. Therefore some Monday Motivation is in order.

Some of you may or may not be in the loop that I do yoga once a week. It is not my favorite thing, but my body is addicted to it, and I listen to my body talk

Well I am trying to up it to twice a week and I needed something, or someone to motivate me to take it today. Hence this shot of Robert Downey Jr. in yoga action.

Honestly I am quite impressed with how flexible he is, something I am not. Which going more than once a week would improve on that situation.

Robert and myself are also the same age, 52. Also considering everything he has been through in his life and the fact that he can commit to the ancient art and do it well...that's motivation for you!

So, I am going to bend it like RDJ today and step up my yoga game.

Hey, it's Monday after all.

A Tale of Two Paris'

I See London, I See France...
Paris Hilton & Paris Jackson
"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale..." Theme From Gilligan's Island

Here's the tale, it goes something like this Michael Jackson so loved Paris Hilton's first name that he asked Kathy Hilton permission to name his daughter Paris and of course being the game gal she is, she said "yes" - and the beat goes on.

Thus when Paris Hilton celebrated her 37th Birthday, well, yesterday the two Paris' took the time for a photo op, naturally.

Actually this is one time I am not going to state I would like to have been a fly on the wall because, well think about it. While I don't purport to know either of these women, I feel they would have nothing to add to my life experience, collectively or separately.

What slays me is that Paris Hilton is 37! Seriously, it makes me realize how much older I have gotten as I remember when she was doing the The Simple Life with Nicole Richie at a mere 22 years old!

David Cook Gets "Kinky"

Steppin' Out
David Cook

C'mon Kinky Boots, start walkin'...!!!
Singer-songwriter and American Idol Winner David Cook’s brand-new EP, Chromance was released today.   The EP features all new material that was written over the past year and also includes an ethereal mid-tempo spin on the Phil Collins classic "Another Day in Paradise" - https://soundcloud.com/ingroovesmarketing/04-david-cook-another-day-in-paradise/s-2Bu2o?in=ingroovesmarketing/sets/david-cook-chromance/s-YC25e
If putting out a brand new EP wasn’t enough to keep Cook busy, in April he’s heading to the Great White Way for his Broadway debut in Kinky Boots as Charlie Price. “I’ve had conversations about finding creative outlets outside of being a musician, but the timing was never right.” While Cook is excited for his first starring role, he’s also aware how timely and relevant the message behind Kinky Boots is right now. “I am honored I am going to be part of this show and get to work with so many amazing people. I love the collaborative aspect of theatre too, the idea of being part of a creative team and working it out in front of an audience each night.”

Chromance is available through the PledgeMusic campaign: www.pledgemusic.com/davidcookas well as all other digital retailers.
