"Put some lipstick on, Perfume your neck and slip your high heels on" - Manicure, Lady Gaga
It's coming at you January 12th at 6pm to be exact. Oh, you wanna know what's coming at you don't you? Of course you do!
Emmy Nominated MUA Robert Hensley is launching his YouTube and Podcast show Face Value. "Yes" I'm gonna give you a quick overview of what FV is right here, right now. The show contains candid conversations about our perceptions of beauty.
Robert's first guest is the amazing and talented Valarie Pettiford probably best know for her role "Big Dee Dee" Thorne on Half & Half. I've seen the premiere episode and it is something you don't want to miss! It's insightful not to mention fun!
So I'm going to hand this over to Robert and let him tell you more about it via this video teaser...
Want to know more? Robert gave yours truly five juicy reason you need Face Value in your life:
1) These are truly candid conversations; there was no script, just real talk, recorded live!
2) This is a diverse roster of guests with a range of experiences across the entertainment industry; actors, content creators, and artists expressing a variety of perspectives on beauty.
3) Each episode is easily digestible at 30-40 minutes in length. The video content will be available on YouTube, and the audio from each episode will be available on Apple Podcasts and all major podcast platforms.
4) Pandemic production of the series is a nationwide, remote effort; Robert recorded the interviews in Burbank, CA, while other aspects of the show were being handled in Missouri and Vermont.
5) There is a personal connection with each guest: as well as having done their makeup, Robert also directed Valarie and Denise is the short film "Birth Mother;" Cici was the makeup artist on the first film Robert ever wrote/produced; Christopher has starred in two projects on which Robert was a key artist - the LA revival of "Women Behind Bars" and the digital series "Whata Lark;" and Robert earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work on Kit's "Eastsiders" series and was key makeup on his latest series, the forthcoming "Unconventional," on which Briana is one of the costars!
Here we are heading toward the end of the first full week of 2022, granted it's still early in the year but with all the insanity happening what should one do in 2022?!
My advice? Play it by ear and go with the flow is the best any of us can do at this point, shall we sally forth, Magic 8 Ball says: "Yes!"

Hello it's me Mr. Behave Yourself, as you can see KISS front man Gene Simmons is being an ill mannered boy and chewing with his mouth open. Well what else would one expect of him on National Spaghetti Day?! I ask you, "Yes" you, holding my breath...
Thus Mr. Simmons has joined us to share just how much he enjoys, well, Spaghetti. As you can see by his wide open mouth full of it, a lot!!!
What's that? "Yes" I enjoy Spaghetti, it's my favorite Lean Cuisine nuke-able meal. I like the one with the big beefy meatballs best, the one with meat sauce is for amateurs.
So if you'll excuse me I'm gonna hit the microwave and nuke me some, right here, right now...
While we have already celebrated the passing of 2021 today is the day we flush it down the toilet. "Yes" Minions we begin the first full week of 2022 today, right here, right now...
Here to help us flush out last year is Katy Perry with a giant toilet and toilet paper, because with a year as messy as last we're gonna need the super sized equipment.
I'm gonna venture a guess and say this is part of Katy's Vegas residency Play. Only difference is I'm not playing about today's Monday Motivation.
We are soldiering on and getting into the groove of 2022 today. It's time to move forward and be the king of our collective domains.
So grab some paper and find a toilet, it's time for that first Monday Motivation of 2022 just flush.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Star of stage, screen, podcast airwaves and beyond, scalding hot drag superstar Alaska Thunderfuck has released the video (directed by Brad Hammer & Nic Laughlin) for "XOXOY2K" HERE and the single HERE backed with "ask me” just in time to start off 2022. Alaska coo’s about “XOXOY2K”here - "The fashions and accessories of the early 2000s are burned into my psyche because I came of age in the time of low rise jeans and flip phones. This is a love song about attraction and repulsion-- all decorated in the mise en scene of the year 2000." The track is from her forthcoming Red 4 Filth album via PEG Records/Warner Music Group/ADA which is slated for release in early 2022.
Last night I celebrated NYE like a sensible human being and spent it on the couch watching Miley's New Year's Eve Party with Miley Cyrus & Pete Davidson.
While others took in the likes of Andy Cohen & Anderson Cooper. Whoever you watched and whatever you did I hope today finds you safe and healthy.
Thus I thought we should kick off the first day of 2022, New Year's Day as the masses call it, with an icon for the ages, Ms. Marilyn Monroe.
"Yes" Marilyn is in the house to represent January 2022! Who am I kidding she's here to represent for the whole year of 2022 adjacent to my desk because "Yes" I bought an MM 2022 calendar 😎
