Kerry Washington "Don't Cry For Me Lena Dunham"

Two Wild & Crazy Women: Lena Dunham & Kerry Washington
This is a follow-up to the fact that Girls star Lena Dunham landed her dream job as a guest star on the hit show Scandal.
"I started to cry when I saw the actual OPA set," she says.

Oh girl, please don't cry. Do I need to send you a floral arrangement? Kidding my dear, I love it when celebrities let their geek flag fly! It is so endearing.

So here is the 411 on Lena's episode. She plays a woman whose name is Kinky Sue, the name is so catchy there should be a song sung by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga called The Ballad of Kinky Sue.

What's the title of the episode? Well it certainly isn't called Where's The Black Lady, no, it's called It's Good To Be Kink.

Cheers to you Kinky Sue!

Macklemore Gets Trashy With Oscar The Grouch

Let's Get Trashy: Macklemore & Oscar The Grouch
Macklemore dropped the phrase "F@#king awesome" replaced it with "Gross and awesome" and found himself some Sesame Street cred with his hit song Thrift Shop.
The rapper joined forces with Oscar the Grouch and created an all audiences version of it, but instead of searching for vintage clothing, they comb trash cans for the grossest, yuck ball garbage they can find!
One man's trash is another grouches outfit - looks like Macklemore found his way to Sesame Street, and may return for a visit since his fiancee Tricia Davis is expecting their first viewer soon.
Have some trashy fun below...!

Taylor Swift - Blah, Blah, Blah

I Have Two Left Feet, But I Am Having Fun, So, Shake It Off!
With her forthcoming album 1989, inspired by the sounds of “late ’80s pop,” that will debut on October 27

Taylor Swift has released her first single and video from it called Shake It Off, which for reasons of pure publicity and entertainment fodder has sparked some sort of debate about whether Ms. Swift going all 80's on us is appropriate, or not.

Thus I will chime in on this important world issue. This song, a send up of public perception of who she is contains lyrics that are pure Swift. As for the sound? I could name a few songs it reminds me of, but what the F@ck?! Madonna has made a career out of this sort of thing.

Personally I L-O-V-E that Ms. Swift gets down and references one of my favorite films, Black Swan in her Natalie Portman ballet dress, and acknowledges she has two left feet by showing that everyone else around her is a way better dancer than she is.

Sure we all will be over this song in a week or two, it's going to be a huge hit and in your face everywhere you turn. But in the meantime it's the middle of the week have some fun and Shake It Off ...
Happy Hump Day!

Celebrating 50 Years Of "Close To Cathy": Mike Clifford

Vintage Mike Clifford Photo

Former Teen Idol and "Entertain Me" staple Mike Clifford is celebrating - today July 25th 2012 marks the 50th Anniversary of his signature hit "Close To Cathy".

Mike "I'm Not Dead Yet" Clifford has a few things to say about CTC's 50th...

MC: It feels like 10 years since I recorded it

MS: Did you think the song would be this enduring?

MC: Never. I was hoping it would last 15 days on the charts, but it actually lasted 12 weeks in the top 100. It's just amazing - I'm still identified with it and I have so many memories associated with it, along with so much wonderful feedback, it's just amazing!

MS: What do you want your legacy to be?

MC: Everyone is given some kind of talent whatever it may be. Mine was singing and other things shot off of that with the acting and the dancing. I just tried to make the most of what I had at the time, and constantly improve myself to be the best I could always be...I worked hard to make the most of what little talent I had. (laughs) My legacy is for people to remember, whatever I did, I always tried 100% ! The proof is in the pudding, if you are still listening to my music, not just "Close To Cathy" 50 years later...

MS: Cool!
