Monday Motivation

I'm Gumby Damn It!
Adam Levine

Even though it doesn't happen until Wednesday I am planting the seed of motivation today, Monday. "Yes" Monday Motivation for a Wednesday ayem yoga class. For some inexplicable reason I have missed hitting the mat for the past two weeks and I really need to go as yoga does wonders for me and my body, not to mention my mindset as well.

Thus I have enlisted the very flexible, not to mention agile, Adam Levine to give me the kick in the booty I need to reach the mat at 8 ayem Wednesday morning.

While at this point and juncture I know I will never achieve Gumby flexibility like Adam, one of my goals is to become more so.

My body does actually give more than it used to in the bending department than it did when I started my yoga journey. That's why I am kicking myself for missing it these past couple of weeks...Grrrrrrrrrr.

OK, my mind has been programmed I know I will be in a downward dog come Wednesday. Join me?

Just Because...Eric McCormack

New Sensation
Eric McCormack
Just Because he got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to publicize the upcoming season of Will and Grace. Just Because his pose is giving me life on a Sunday morning & Just Because I wanna be sedated. Here is Eric McCormack peeps!

While I was never really a fan of the original Will and Grace ("yes" I am a bad gay, or perhaps bad ass gay depending on your take) I am even less of a fan of the cartoon like reboot.

This but and however does not mean I find Eric untalented. I find him very much so and am glad that the powers that be decided to pimp his ass out for publicity for the second coming of the revived show by gifting him with a star on the HWOF

Hey, the going price is $40,000 and that's pretty cheap in terms of the publicity it buys. Obviously NBC deemed McCormack the one from the cast who should get one. Also so did the Walk of Fame committee.

So there you have it in a nutshell Eric going yogi on your ass and receiving his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame zen style.

What?! It's done get on with your day.

The event’s producer and coordinator Molly Shalgos reflects on The Goonies connection to RAICES and the importance of continuing to pay attention to the current state of affairs:

“The footage coming from the border over the last few months is sickening. It’s not just that it’s heart-wrenching; it is a helpless sort of rage, the rage that comes from knowing you cannot drive down to Texas and forcibly hurl your body against the fences. You can’t crash into those cages and scoop every child into your arms and swing to the rescue. There is no magic wand to wave that will undo the damage that’s been done. But that does not absolve us from the responsibility of trying.

That’s The Goonies in a nutshell: we keep fighting even when it seems like a done deal – a home in foreclosure, the papers all but signed. RAICES has been on the front lines of this humanitarian crises from the beginning. They haven’t stopped. They won’t stop, but they need our support – now more than ever, in these days when every week in the news cycle brings something worse than the last. They need us to keep paying attention.”

Freaky Friday

Stu Anyone?
Joan Collins
Wednesday was the debut of Season 8 of American Horror Story: Apocalypse - and like most shows the premiere episode was meh. Premiere episodes are always establishing ones thus they are always somewhat lackluster, that's just the way it goes. I am giving the season a few more views to see if I will continue watching.

This being stated who would have ever thunk an icon from my youth would be eating a stew with Stu as the main ingredient?!

"Yes" this Freaky Friday is dedicated to the great Joan Collins who portrayed Alexis Colby-Carrington on the nighttime soap Dynasty when I was a tadpole. Never in my wildest imagination would I have thought at 85 years young she would turn up on the hit horror anthology as Evie Gallant who knowingly cannibalizes the first casualty of the fallout shelter post apocalypse, a gentleman named Stu, who is now, well stew.

Joan plays her role with sly humor and aplomb. That was to me the weirdest thing about the premiere episode, it played more like a demented dark comedy than anything that would actually get under my skin and disturb me.

Hats off to you Joan Collins, you've still got it, you cannibal freak!

Hump Day & Chill

Surrender The Towel
Naked Bob
Today I thought it would be grand to give a Hump Day & Chill to the hot, mature male. "Yes" that is correct, sexy in charge men over fifty who are in great shape, like moi

If you had told me at 52 I would be in the most kick ass shape of my life I would have scoffed when I was in my twenties. Especially since I was of the live fast die young mentality and figured I wouldn't be here past 40.

Surprise! I am still here and better than ever!

Which brings me to today's Hump Day & Chill object of my, and your affection via Tye Briggs Favorite Hunks & Other Things. He goes by the moniker of "Naked Bob" and he is sex with a stick personified.

Pssssst! I'm also going to let you in on a little secret, OK it isn't that little, but let's just state I know "Naked Bob" from a decade I like to call the late thirties. Because when Michael met Bob...

Fluff up your pillow & dream minions. Get an eyeful of what I saw up close and personal once upon a time at the NSFW link below.

Hump Day & Chill fer sure!

The Weirdest Movie Ever Made

The Weirdest Movie Ever Made: The Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot Film

Tracing the convoluted history of the 59 seconds of grainy, shaky, and silent 16mm film that propelled Bigfoot into pop culture forever

I remember this vividly...
BearManor Media is proud to announce the release of The Weirdest Movie Ever Made: The Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot Film, a new book by Phil Hall. The book will be available in all book retail channels beginning October 1st for the suggested retail price of $24.95 for the hardcover edition and $14.95 for the softcover edition.

On October 20th 1967, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin emerged from a forest in Northern California with 59 seconds of grainy, shaky, silent 16mm film that offered documentary evidence of the existence of the Sasquatch, a creature of Native American folklore. Although neither Patterson nor Gimlin had any previous experience in filmmaking or zoology, they presented their remarkable footage as the first motion picture evidence to confirm the existence of the elusive Sasquatch.

However, not everyone was convinced by the imagery on the Patterson-Gimlin Film. Additional doubt was generated by the strange story behind the film's creation. Over the years, odd rumors emerged about the film, including the story of an Academy Award-winning make-up artist's alleged role in assembling the creature seen on camera.

Film journalist Phil Hall traces the convoluted history of how Patterson and Gimlin supposedly wound up in the right place at the right time with their camera, and how they brought their weird little film into the scientific community and American popular culture. While the debate over the authenticity of the Patterson-Gimlin Film continues to percolate, few would question the effectiveness of how this piece of celluloid brought forth an unlikely sensation lovingly dubbed Bigfoot.
