Cool (For The Summer) Cats

Cool Cats

Another Monday another yoga class at Hollywood Forever Cemetery...

For those of you not in the know I practice yoga in Hollywood at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. It's an oasis in the middle of the city and it feels like you in a completely other world.

Many animals are to be found on the grounds from Peacocks, Geese and Turtles to name a few.

So every time I am there I get to enjoy various living creatures. Of course the one staple every place like this has is feral cats roaming the grounds.

Here's two cool cats keeping it real cool for the summer on top of someone who has been laid to rests marker.

They must have known I was coming as they seemingly struck a pose.

Hope your summer is going well and remember no matter how cool you are you will never be as cool as the cats at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Half Dizzy

Hot off their recent first-place win in Alternative Press’s fan poll for Best Long Island Band, Half Dizzy is back with big news and a brand-new track. The band has revealed the title and cover art for their upcoming album, Yard Saleset for release later this year.

In the meantime, fans can dig into “All or None,” a punchy, uplifting punk anthem that looks back on the challenges of youth, celebrates perseverance, and honors the growth that comes from struggle. Produced and recorded by Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls at Little Eden, mixed by Neil Tuuri at Amish Electric Chair Studios, and mastered by Christopher H. Fogal at Black in Bluhm, the track captures the band’s trademark mix of grit, melody, and heart.

“This upbeat anthem looks back on the wild ride of youth, celebrating the challenges conquered and lessons learned along the way. It's a vibrant, feel-good anthem for anyone who's grown through struggle and came out stronger on the other side," says guitarist/vocalist Daniel Marchelewski.

Sergio Dondoli's Happy Life

Sergio Dondoli’s Happy Life is a joyful and heartwarming documentary that captures the passion and spirit of one of the world’s most celebrated gelato artisans. Set in the stunning Tuscan countryside, the award-winning film offers a rich, sensory journey through the life of Sergio Dondoli, whose infectious enthusiasm for his craft—and for life—has captivated visitors from around the globe. The film will be released worldwide across digital platforms on August 19, 2025.

“Sergio's journey from a modest upbringing to gelato master is incredibly inspiring,” says the film’s director, Jay Arnold.  “But it was his high regard for the environment, the cows that provide milk, and his commitment to the use of organic, whole foods, that moved me so deeply. In a sense, the film is very much a story of love.”

Dondoli began his culinary journey studying hospitality in Montecatini Terme, Italy. After traveling throughout Europe and honing his skills, he opened the now-iconic Gelateria Dondoli in San Gimignano’s Piazza della Cisterna in 1992. Known for his innovative, trademarked flavors made from high-quality local ingredients such as Crema di Santa Fina (saffron and pine nuts), Champelmo (pink grapefruit and sparkling wine), and Dolceamaro (cream with aromatic herbs), Dondoli has earned numerous accolades, including two Ice Cream World Championships and two Ice Cream World Cup titles as part of Team Italy.  Additional favorite flavors he is known for are Rosemary's Baby (rosemary and raspberry), Venere Nera (blackberry and lavender), and various chocolate and fruit-based creations.

Sergio Dondoli’s Happy Life features appearances by Italian culinary legends including world-renowned butcher Dario Cecchini of Panzano and Chef Gaetano Trovato of Arnolfo, Tuscany’s longest-running two-Michelin-starred restaurant.  “The film is a vibrant celebration of joy, food, and purpose,” says Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures.  “You can’t watch Happy Life without smiling.”

The film has won several major festival awards, including Best Feature Documentary at the 2025 East Village New York Film Festival and Best Documentary at the 2025 Red Movie Awards (Winter Edition). It was also named Best Indie Feature at the 2024 Los Angeles Film Awards and received honors for Best Food Film and Best Biographical Feature Film at the 2024 World Film Festival in Cannes.

Jay Arnold’s previous work includes the romantic comedy What Happens Next and the award-winning drama Shoulder Dance. With Happy Life, Arnold makes his documentary feature debut. He co-wrote the film with Matt Dallas and Jillian Hurley, and produced it alongside Dallas, Hurley, Frank Lomento, and Gabriel Munitz-Alessio, who also served as cinematographer. Sergio Dondoli is the film’s executive producer.

Founded in 2009, Breaking Glass Pictures is an award-winning independent film distribution company dedicated to spotlighting bold, emotionally rich, and culturally resonant stories. Hump Day & Chill

"In your mind you have capacities, you know
To telepath messages through the vast unknown" - Calling Occupants, The Carpenters

Double car garages are nice, actually a necessity if you have a family because you will need two cars, let's face it.

They also come in handy for people without families who have interplanetary visitors.

"Yes" I basically said people who have alien visitors, behold the two car garage can also house flying saucers. As seen by this photo of one of my neighbors garages.

Thus let us Hump Day & Chill to our friends from a galaxy far, far away...aliens!

Do they really exist, who knows I've never met one, and no one I know has either.

For today let's just go with it...

Bear World TV

The Hosts
Bear World TV

Bear World Magazine, the world’s leading lifestyle publication for the global bear community, is proud to announce the launch of Bear World TV: a vibrant new video platform delivering weekly doses of news, entertainment, and culture created specifically for and by the bear community, streaming now on Bear World Magazine’s website, YouTube channel, and social media platforms.

The channel features five dynamic hosts - Marquis The Honey Bear, Joe Martone, Alexander Rodriguez, Ravi Roth, and Hunter Harden - each presenting weekly two-minute segments that spotlight diverse and entertaining facets of bear life, including nightlife, travel, pop culture, humor, and community events.

Produced by Bear World Magazine Co-Founders Richard Jones and Robin Gray, Bear World TV expands the brand’s mission to celebrate body positivity, inclusivity, and queer joy through engaging, community-driven content. “Bear World Magazine turns 13 this September, and we wanted to do something special to mark the milestone,” says Jones. “Creating a broadcast platform will not only entertain but also amplify the many voices within our vibrant, diverse community.”

Each segment offers a distinct perspective, delivering a rich mix of fun, flair, and authenticity; from comedic takes on niche bear culture to curated party picks and globe-trotting travel adventures.

“Our representation in media is evolving, and so should our journalism,” says Alexander Rodriguez, a seasoned entertainment journalist and queer pop culture expert who helms the Alexander on Screen segment. “Bear World TV viewers can expect smarter questions and deeper conversations with queer icons and unsung heroes alike.”

“We’re tackling gay and bear culture one ridiculous topic at a time,” adds comedian Marquis The Honey Bear, host of Marquis is Barely Informed. He describes his content as “unseriously serious fun.”

Hunter Harden, whose nightlife-focused segment Hunter’s Hot Nights is sponsored by Gun Oil Personal Lubricant, brings the party to the screen. “It’s all about vibe,” he says. “A party with hugs, a great DJ, body positivity, and a little glitter? That’s what I call a hot night.”

For national happenings, the What to Know with Joe segment keeps viewers in the loop. “I spotlight the movers and shakers, and the everyday legends who have carried the bear world on their hairy shoulders,” says Joe Martone, whose event-focused updates are sponsored by DeviousSaint.com. “If it makes you say, ‘aw damn, I wish I’d gone to that,’—I’ve got you covered.”

For travel enthusiasts, the Ravi Round the World segment is a weekly escape. “Travel is more than a vacation.  It’s visibility, connection, and celebration,” says LGBTQ+ travel expert Ravi Roth, whose wanderlust-driven content is sponsored by Island House Key West. “We’re making the world your bear playground.”

Publicity photos for Bear World TV were shot by Nathan Noyes at the Creator Lounge at W Hollywood, a space designed to inspire and energize creatives. With its art deco design and nods to Hollywood’s rich cultural legacy, the location provided a fitting backdrop for the bold new channel.

With fresh episodes dropping weekly, Bear World TV is poised to become the go-to digital destination for bears worldwide, blending humor, heart, and unapologetic celebration.

“Bear World TV will be a call to celebrate who we are: loudly, proudly, and together,” says Jones.
