National Red Wine Day

Bottoms Up 😉
Ian Somerhalder

T.G.I.F! After the week we have all collectively participated in I bet each and every one of us could use a drink. Can I get a Cheers to that?

Well as luck would have, after a week were the BS is thick, today is National Red Wine Day, stem glass up Minions.

Personally Red Wine is my favorite adult beverage, especially Cabernet Sauvignon. My apologies to Merlot, Sweet Red (ugh) and other similar red blends.

As luck would have it we also get some Eye Candy along with the delectable liquid escape. You've got it it's Ian Somerhalder imbibing in a glass of CS, get lost in his eyes and stay for the wine.

Seriously with those intense baby blues one gets why he was cast as seductive vampire Damon Salvatore om The Vampire Diaries. Yeah, I need to clam down, let the Cabernet Sauvignon flow!

Monday Motivation

Please Sir, I Want Some More
Red Wine

"Red red wine, It's up to you, All I can do, I've done" Red Red Wine, UB40

Guess what's happening now minions? Red, red wine of the Cabernet Sauvignon kind is what my Monday Motivation is.

Hey, motivation is a mysterious thing, it can take on many forms, so sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

"Yes" red wine is my end game for Monday as I am having it with cheese and crackers as a little before Thanksgiving celebration with a friend tonight.

Any questions? I thought not, now carry on, that's all.

Say Cheese! 😺

Monday Motivation

Hello Gorgeous
Christopher Meloni
Thanks to someone I follow on Instagram and of course the obligatory Law & Order: SVU marathon on the USA Network yesterday, I have the sexiest man alive IMHO, Christopher Meloni on my mind. "Yeah" he is sex on a stick and then some.

How is this Monday Motivation you might ask? Well Chris, motivates me to do many things, nothing I can really speak of here. He also just makes you want to go balls to the wall sexy. "Yes" all of us have an inner Christopher Meloni within us, just waiting to be released like the Kraken. That's correct a big bad sexual beast just waiting to be turned loose.

Who could not get turned on by a man who can do the splits like this and drink red wine at the same time? Seriously flexibility is the key to _______ come on my dirty minded minions insert something into THAT blank 😉

BTW did you know Meloni finally drank the Kool Aid and joined Instagram? Oh Yeah! Thus I follow him with relish and hold the pickle.

Speaking of which, my Monday has now been sufficiently Motivated, time to get Kraken!

Hump Day & Chill

Does This Wine Give Me A Silky Sheen?
Kate Middleton
Today's Hump Day & Chill is brought to you by The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton & Cabernet Sauvignon. Yeah, you read that correctly minions.

According to hairstylist John Blaine, a serving of Cab is the secret to Katie's shine & bounce in her hair. He also teases Dita Von Teese's tresses (say the three time fast, I dare your ass.)

However it really isn't about imbibing it, nope, you apply it straight to your hair.

Well alrighty then, file this under take it or leave it potential useless information.

Frankly, I'd rather drink Cab, by the gallons than pour it on what's left of my hair. "Yes" it is my favorite form of grape.

So saddle up beside me and enjoy a glass or two, and don't F#cking waste it on your mane, or what's left of it.

Cheers Bitches!

"For The Many"

UB40 To Release First New Album in Five Years
Just Ahead Of 40th Anniversary Tour

"For The Many" comes to CD and Vinyl on March 22nd

Includes a 24 page booklet complete with photos of the band
and lyrics to all songs
The 38 date 40th Anniversary Tour starts on March 29th in Portsmouth

Red, Red Wine - That Is All...

For The Many is the Birmingham reggae veterans' nineteenth studio album - their first since 2013's Getting Over The Storm. It features UB40's founding members Robin Campbell (co-vocals/Guitar), Brian Travers (saxophone/keyboards), Jimmy Brown (drums), Earl Falconer (bass/keyboards/vocals) and Norman Hassan (percussion/vocals), alongside long-time members Duncan Campbell (vocals), Martin Meredith (saxophone), Laurence Parry (trumpet) and Tony Mullings (keyboards).

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, UB40 named themselves after the UK government's unemployment benefit form. Their debut album Signing Off was released in August 1980 and is considered by many to be one of the greatest reggae albums ever released by a British band.

It was the start of a career that led to 100 million record sales worldwide and dozens of hits, including "Red, Red Wine," "I Got You Babe" and "(I Can't Help) Falling in Love with You" which all topped the charts in the UK and in many countries across Europe. The band had a run of hit albums that have spent a combined period of eleven years in the UK's Top 75 album chart, establishing UB40 as one of Britain's most successful bands of all-time.
UB40
Jimmy Brown said, "For The Many is our first original album with Duncan, and a true reflection of where the band are at right now. It gave us an opportunity to go back to our roots and draw on the 1970s-style reggae that inspired us to be in a band in the first place. We intended to make an uncompromising reggae album and I think we have achieved that. There's lots of dub, various guest toasters and a blend of love songs and political songs. I'm really happy with the final result. We're really looking forward to playing some of these tunes live on our 40th anniversary tour in spring next year."

Duncan Campbell said, "After ten years of fronting UB40, for us to make an album of our own original material feels like the final hurdle for me. The album and its title reflect how UB40 are all in support of Jeremy Corbyn and The Labour Party. Both of the songs I have written on the album (I'm Alright Jack and Poor Fool) also reflect this. We all feel this album is going back to what UB40 was all about and we are all excited for everybody to hear the album and looking forward to touring it."

Robin Campbell added, "For The Many" is a great mix of reggae styles, while the different artists we have collaborated with will appeal to more fans and tastes in reggae - it really is an album for the many. The 2019 UK tour is a continuation of our 40th year celebrations, as well as sharing tracks from our latest album. We're playing all over the UK instead of a few arenas dates, meaning our fans from all over the UK can get to see us much more locally and up close - truly a tour for the many."

Hump Day & Chill

Red, Red, Wine...
Kristin Cavallari & Jay Cutler
Today's Hump Day & Chill is taking a departure from the usual exploitation of naked male skin.

"Yes" today we are celebrating two of my favorite Adult Beverages that I like to imbibe when I have had a rough shot week.

First and foremost, because it is the easiest to access, out of the starting gate and ready to rumble is Red Wine. Illustrated here by the cool as ice Kristin Cavallari and her manly stud of a husband Jay Cutler (yeah, I still had to have some stud flesh, it's Hump Day & Chill minions.)

One Olive, Or Two?
Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin
Next up we have the martini, enjoyed by the timeless Jane Fonda on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live with other fellow legend Lily Tomlin.

So Jane, is it a vodka or gin martini? I prefer mine gin, vodka is too obvious and easy.

What's your favorite Adult Beverage to Hump Day & Chill with? Do tell, not in a tattling way, in a confessional way.

Michael's Musings

Analyze This
Michael Shinafelt
"Most people do not really want freedom, because freedom involves responsibility, and most people are frightened of responsibility" - Sigmund Freud

This quote from the great Sigmund Freud is an astute one. It also accurately defines the current  State of The Union better than anything that was stated during that "speech."

What? Did I watch you ask? No, I didn't subject myself to it, Michael ain't got time for that bullshit I keep moving...Here is my weekly invoking of my right to free speech.

Leave your ageism at the door

I have douchebumps!

Did you know I am an emergency butt hole technician???

Let's discuss the Grammy's, shall we?

Elton John & Miley Cyrus' collaboration on Tiny Dancer was amazing!

Kesha really nailed it with her performance of Praying, you go grrrrrrl...

Lady Gaga always does an award show good

But WTF with all the Grammy gold bestowed upon Bruno Mars? Seriously Grammy voters you considered his limp efforts to be the overall best of 2017?!

Next year I am going to cut an album of me singing in the shower

No, I'm not going to behave myself

Fact: one of my favorite songs is False Alarm by The Weeknd

Shout out to Robert Krzeski for posting this gem - "If you can't be a good example, you'll have to be a terrible warning"

Red wine is always fine

Be safe and always have fun with your bananas
