The Church Of Chris Pratt

Take Me To Church
Chris Pratt
It's Sunday, and this weeks inspiration comes from The Church of Chris Pratt. Gotta love this hunky, funny, sexy monkey of a guy. I know I do!

He recently took to his Instagram to inspire people out there to keep your dreams alive. Here is what he wrote while filming Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Passengers back to back in Atlanta.

Don't you wish you were Anna Faris?!

"It's 3:20am. I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday. I'm not good with math, especially after being up for approximately 61 hours but I think I've been up for over 77 hours. I did a table read for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this morning and then shot all day on Passengers and just now wrapped some 144 hours later. Weirdly both films, which i'll be shooting back to back, are being shot in Atlanta at Pinewood studios. We have the best crew. Total rock stars busting their asses. And the stuff we're shooting. My God. I can't wait for you to see it. I go back in in about 8 hours to do more. I am doing what I love. It doesn't feel like work. Even though it is. I'm having fun. I'm overcome with joy and gratitude. I felt like posting this to say to anyone out there chasing your dream... Fifteen years ago I felt the same passion I feel today, but I had very little opportunity. I had to hustle hard and go hungry. I had to eat sardines and figure out how to get gas money. And I never had a plan B. I never stopped believing. Ever. Don't give up. Apply constant pressure for as long as it takes. It will break before you do. Go get it."

Preach!

Gucci, Justice Is A Dog's Best Friend

"A Dog Named Gucci" Release (DVD and Digital on April 19th)
To Coincide With the Release Of the Song "One Voice,"
the Closing Credits Track Featuring Various Musicians (Norah Jones, Aimee Mann, Susanna Hoffs, Neko Case, Queen's Brian May, and more)
All Lending Their Talents In The Crusade To Stop Animal Abuse

From burn victim to rock star, the story of one dog who changed
a law and proved justice is a dog's best friend.

Hey all you dog lovers, have you heard the story of Gucci?
Director Gorman Bechard, whose documentary, "Color Me Obsessed, A Film About The Replacements," was named one of "The Seven Best New Music Documentaries of the Year" by Rolling Stone, takes on a rock star of a different sort with "A Dog Named Gucci," a feature-length documentary examining animal abuse laws in the United States.

The film will be released on DVD and digital platforms on April 19th, just days after the Record Store Day release of the film's closing credits song One Voice. The film's anthem song features Norah JonesAimee Mann,Susanna HoffsLydia LovelessNeko CaseKathryn Calder, and Queen's Brian May all lending their talents. One Voice will also be released on digital platforms. Profits from the sales of the song will go to support animal charities around the country.

"A Dog Named Gucci" is a timely and poignant documentary about a 10-week old puppy who was doused with lighter fluid and set on fire. Hearing the puppy's cries, college professor Doug James ran to help. After chasing away the abusers, and at the request of Gucci's young runaway owner, Doug took the puppy in as his own. Thus began a 16-year odyssey of love, devotion, and perseverance. Together with legislators, Doug and Gucci worked to create what became known as the "Gucci Bill," changing Alabama law, and making domestic animal abuse a felony.

"Instead of assaulting the viewer with images of abused animals, we chose to tell what is ultimately a positive and uplifting story of one victim who went on to become a hero," explains Bechard, who was recently named the recipient of this year's Media Excellence Award from the ASPCA for his work on this film. "This is a triumphant tale. Gucci might begin his life as Blackfish, but he's a fighter, and in the end he becomes Rocky."

The film also spotlights three other dogs who, with their owners, have made an incredible impact on the laws protecting animals. These include Louis Vuitton, from Montgomery, Alabama, the first dog to test the Gucci Law; Susie from North Carolina, who has a felony abuse law named in her honor and was the 2015 American Humane Association's Hero Dog of the Year; and Nitro from Queens, New York whose ultimate sacrifice in an Ohio kennel led to the state's first felony animal abuse laws.

The completely crowd-funded film has an extensive social media presence with 68,000 Facebook fans, and tons of followers on Twitter and KickStarter. There have been numerous sold out regional screenings leading to wildly enthusiastic user reviews on IMDb.

Submit! Kim Basinger

I'm Going To Bridle You In And Make You Submit!
Kim Basinger

It has been a while since we have seen Kim Basinger in a high profile film project. Quite frankly I have missed seeing this ageless beauty who still turns heads at 62 on the silver screen.

When the casting people for Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey (duh!) were looking to cast "a beautiful older blonde who oozes sex appeal and seduction" as Christian Grey's business partner and former love interest who introduced him to the world of S&M, well who are you gonna call? Kim Basinger!

Translation for all you Fifty Shades fanatics, Kim is playing Elena Lincoln.

Destiny I say. After all Kim played a submissive art dealer in the S&M themed 9 1/2 Weeks to Mickey Rourke's dominant.

Well now she gets to have the upper hand in Fifty Shades Darker.

Take us to your dungeon Mistress Kim

Hey Aisha Tyler, Just Say Not To The Topknot

When Did Pebbles Flintstone Join "The Talk?"

Women now have a hair style to rival the hideous Man Bun which is overwhelmingly reviled among the public yet some men still insist on wearing them. It's called the Topknot, and one of my favorite personalities Aisha Tyler made the poor decision call of sporting this parasitic looking style.

Of course people took to Twitter to voice how much they hated it and for some reason Aisha felt picked on and defended her fashion error.

Aisha went on The Talk stating: “I work on television and I feel very lucky that I get to come here and play and be playful and have fun.” then she went as far to say “If I came out here and I was worried about how you felt about about how I looked every day, then I would be a pretty empty shell of a person.”

Um, Aisha I think you are taking this to heart way to much. I mean the rants said you are "pretty and why would you wear such a thing"

That does not sound like hating or bullying it sounds like caring. Seriously like the Man Bun the Topknot does the person wearing it no favors. No one looks good with it!

I Still love you Aisha at:

Cure The Mid-Week Blahs, Get Some Soul!

Charles Bradley & Menahan Street Band -
Live From The House Of Soul
coming to DVD on February 12th
The first installment of Daptone Records' new video series
Daptone Records, the fiercely independent label that has been delivering the gold standard for real soulful music for over a decade, is launching a video series of performances by its artists recorded live in the backyard of their Bushwick studio headquarters, affectionately known as "The House of Soul". Live from the House of Soul will debut with a full concert by Charles Bradley, followed by episodes from AntibalasMenahan Street BandThe Mystery Lights, and more.

The first installment of Live From The House Of Soul is directed by Poull Brien and shot in the backyard of Daptone's House of Soul in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It features Charles Bradley at his best with the Menahan Street Band

Bradley's voice has evolved from a lifetime of paying dues, having nomadically labored for decades at various day jobs from Maine to Alaska - singing and performing in his spare time - before re-settling in his hometown Brooklyn and eventually finding a musical home at Dunham. In his distinctively rough-hewn timbre, one hears the unmistakable voice of experience - each note and gruff inflection a reflection of his extended, sometimes rocky, personal path. It's only fitting that producer, Brenneck (also amember of The Dap-Kings and The Budos Band), would recognize in Bradley a kindred musical spirit - a singer whose performances exude both raw power and poignant beauty.
This Live From The House Of Soul series gives viewers an intimate look into the legendary stable of Daptone artists performing at home in a unique setting. The series will be completely produced in-house and feature the tough sound that Daptone has become famous for. More episodes are currently in production.

Bradley's upcoming album, Changes, is out April 1st, 2016 on Daptone Records. For more info contact Shazila Mohammed - Shazila (at) MotorMouthMedia (dot) com.

"Spread Your Legs!" Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Where's The Guacamole?!
Khloe Kardashian
"I'm gonna get guacamole up your vagina right now. Spread your legs. Tell her to spread her legs." Kourtney Kardashian to Khloe Kardasian during a food fight involving, duh, guacamole.

OK, while I am not a rabid Kardashian fan, I do admit to being a casual observer. Define that you say? Well each weeks new episode is the soundtrack to my early morning (I wake up at five) work schedule. In other words one of the shows that is great background noise while I am on the computer.

That being stated it's quotes like the above one that keep me coming back for more sound bites. It certainly isn't the "drama" and the staged ways it is dealt with. Also I have to admit I have a special fondness for Khloe Kardashian

Khloe, always the straight shooter is a woman after my own heart. She is the one I know I could hang with and have a blast as we would be on the same page. Below are fifteen Khloe Kuotes that I have selected that sound like things I say and text to my friends & loved ones. Don't you wish you were on my list of contacts now???
1. “I hear the pitter-patter of a dinosaur.” – On hearing mom Kris Jenner’s footsteps approaching.
2. “Wow my sister has changed. She used to whip her boobs out for no reason. Now she does it to feed her child.” – On sister Kourtney Kardashian becoming a mom.
3. "Sometimes a b**ch snaps."
4. "It's haunting me for the rest of my life" – On Kim’s song “Jam.”
5. “Droopy balls? Buy briefs! A bra for your balls!” – Via Twitter.
6. “Your hair is, like, shorter than a vagina’s bush.” – To mom Kris after a haircut.
7. “I could maybe hit it better if they were black balls.” – To Bruce Jenner, on golfing.
8. “I’m Khloe. My sisters say I am a b**ch.”
9. “Hi Satan!” – Addressing mom Kris on the phone.
10. "Are you going to be a boring whore your whole life?" – To one of her sisters.
11. “Sorry, Sir, I curse a lot.”
12. “I have a nipple obsession and personally love when women show their nipples— perhaps I was a member of a nudist colony in my last life.” – On her sheer X-Factor top.
13. "A little bun in the oven. Your ass is gonna be so big." – On Kim’s pregnancy.
14. "I am gonna turn into an alcoholic tonight."
15. "Don’t go into the ocean while on your period because a shark is going to attack you."

Sundance Romance: Ellen Page

Love Birds
Samantha Thomas & Ellen Page
"Hello young lovers, whoever you are,
I hope your troubles are few.
All my good wishes go with you tonight,
I've been in love like you." - The King and I

Sundance is quite the film going experience. It can also be a place where love flourishes, especially when your lover's gone.

Case in point, one Ms. Ellen Page. Despite the fact that her girlfriend, artist Samantha Thomas, was M.I.A. by her side at this year's film festival, apparently things are still rocking and rolling with the couple.

"She's home working," Ellen spilled at her dramedy Tallulah. "I wish she could be here."
Is the Ellen and Samantha train still on track: "Absolutely" Page states.
Page's secret to the long lasting relationship? "She's awesome and we have so much fun together," she said. "We love each other and support each other. It's the best."
Can I get an awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww? Of course I can!
