The Grammy & Emmy nominated comedian/actress/singer has released “Funny Man” HERE her endearing tribute song about comedian/actor Robin Williams.  Margaret shares, ”I wrote this for Robin Williams after he passed away. It’s really an anthem to the funny guys who didn’t feel so funny on the inside all the time.”

Some of you out there are cool, but no one will ever be Catherine Deneuve cool.

While I am a admirer of her work my most favorite film she did was Luis Bunuel's Belle de Jour. Where she played a bored housewife who turns tricks at a local brothel during the day.

Actually I can not in good conscience fail to mention my other favorite film she has done. She was cast to perfection as Miriam Blaylock in The Hunger. Where she was so chic, and "yes" cool as as a centuries old vampire.

Alice, Sweet Alice

On February 11, Arrow Video takes you to church with the cult classic Alice Sweet, Alice, which receives its global premiere on 4K UHD. The two Spages sisters are not getting along after their parents split. Walking In LA...

While I was running errands the other day in Hollywood, to what did my roving eyes did appear, Chucky & Tiffany the two most notorious killer dolls ever to unleash terror on the big screen!

They stared at me malevolently from the display in the window of the historic Hollywood Toys & Costumes. The store has been in Hollywood for 75 years and counting.

It's one of the great things about living in Los Angeles, you get to see all the great history that has been made here every day.

Especially Hollywood, it's very close to where I live and I head up to the Blvd at least once a month have lunch and walk around and take in everything it has to offer.

There is nothing more "Chill" than Cameron Diaz in her heyday. Cameron was the cool broad you wanted crack open a beer and hang out with. She always came off like a lot of fun!

Another admirable quality about Ms. Diaz was how game she was to so anything in a movie. She was always completely fearless. With her return to Netflix in Back In Action co-starring Jamie Foxx I thought we should Hump Day & Chill to Cameron in There's Something About Mary.

Specifically the hair gel scene (if you know, you know) - I don't want to break it down on here in case you haven't seen the comedy because it's best experienced during the course of viewing the movie. But suffice it to say it was Diaz at her best and it was hilarious!!!

While I have yet to watch Back In Action I surely will because I am a Diaz stan.

In honor of David Lynch's passing yesterday I watched Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me on MAX. The streamer also has Blue Velvet on it. I passed on the latter as I had rewatched it a few months ago before his current journey.

I remember seeing Blue Velvet when it hit theaters in 1986. I was in Seattle, WA then and went with two female friends from college. This was a film way ahead of it's time and trust me the sold out audience had a varying array of visceral responses.

One of my friends hated it, she felt the need to go home and take a shower as she put it after because she thought it was disgusting. Me and my other friend found it interesting and were invigorated by the unique vision we had just experienced. 

Cut to my recent viewing of it. As a fifty something year old I now see Blue Velvet as a dark comedy that truly was released at a time where audiences weren't quite up to speed. I mean even I was somewhat taken aback by it back in it the day despite my liking it.

RIP David Lynch you challenged me on how I see the world and now I am better for it.

Devastated

The Pacific Palisades

As a resident of Los Angeles and LA County I am devastated at the enormous loss the people of this city have suffered at the hands of the California Wildfires.

It destroyed a whole community single handedly the Pacific Palisades. This community was established in 1921. It was nestled on the Pacific Coast and had amazing ocean views.

This was a place of beauty that people called home. The residents that lived there are completely at a loss. 

It's existed for 104 years and took only hours to destroy it. This should give you some perspective on how truly horrible this disaster is.

While I'm not going to get political about the situation. Suffice it to say the other fires that sprang up in non related areas are suspect of arson at this point.

Today is going to be a long one with the firefighters still battling the blazes natural and otherwise.

Please send them your energy and strength.
