Lydia Lunch & Cypress Grove -
Under The Covers
Available TODAY on CD, Vinyl, and Digital Formats
Here's to the Lydia's who lunch!

Lydia Lunch and Cypress Grove previously unsettled the conventionally calm and respectful world of the cover song with a number of fractured productions.

As you might expect, the choice of songs on this collection is a disconcerting array of material ranging from the hugely popular to the wildly obscure; from Jon Bon Jovi to Nashville troubadour Aaron Lee TasjanThe Doors and many others.

The End(Game) Is Near

1
The Secrets End Tonight!
l-r Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse, Lucy Hale & Troian Bellisario

Tonight is the two hour series finale of one of my favorite shows ever, Pretty Little Liars, if you haven't seen it, don't judge me, and if you have and are a fan like myself, well you get it!

I remember when PLL first came on the air it received enormous buzz thanks to the savvy use of Social Media. The buzz was strong, it was a noise that I ignored at first. How could a gay man in his 40's possibly get into a show aimed a tween girls on ABC Family (now Freeform.)

Cut to one day when I had nothing really pressing to do, I decided to check out my On Demand and saw it listed, I thought: OK let's give it a shot. I was hooked and immediately binge watched the whole season.

The thing that strikes me odd is the people who watch the show and complain about who  "A" is being drawn out too long. To me that was never really the point of the show, sure it made it fun and who doesn't love a good freaky suspense/mystery/horror show. The real driving force behind the show has always been the characters and story. Besides think about it everyone on the show really pretty much was "A" even though there was the big "A" reveal - all of them have done some shady things that gave them all some "A" ness.

So tonight after seven entertaining and fun seasons it all comes to an end with the reveal of Uber "A." While I do think it is time for the show to bid farewell and I can't wait for the biggest reveal, I will miss seeing the "Liars" every week.

Hey there's always reruns!

Just Because...Margot Robbie

M-I-C...
Margot Robbie

Just because it's Monday, just because she's a beauty & mostly just because she is wearing a Mickey Mouse T-Shirt, I present this image of actress Margot Robbie.

Even though I did not see Suicide Squad I am sure most of you like me know her best from her role as Harley Quinn in the comic book based movie.

The last I heard she wrapped playing Tonya Harding of all things (isn't she too attractive to be portraying her?) in the bio based film I, Tonya.

Margot's greatest achievement IMHOP is having accomplished something I never thought possible. Yep, she has managed to add a whole other dimension to the icon known as Mickey Mouse.

Think about it, but not too hard, OK?

Happy Monday indeed.

Time For A Photobomb...!

Bombs Away!
Jimmy Fallon, Cameron Diaz & Tourists
It's the weekend, Sunday to be exact and I am having a damned good time thus far. So when I came across this funtastic image of Jimmy Fallon & Cameron Diaz photobombing tourists, well I just had to publish it here on Entertain Me!

This photo pretty much sums up how I am feeling right here, right now and I wanted to share the levity. Feel my silliness, feel it!

As I sit here drinking my smoothie pre-spin class writing this, Jimmy and Cameron's antics are serving as inspiration for me as to what kind of shenanigans I intend to pull on others.

That's right peeps, watch out you never know where I am and what I might do.

File This Under: Unpredictable Fun

Have a good one!

Kiefer Sutherland On Death Row

Dear "Shirley Jean"
Kiefer Sutherland

Shirley you jest?
Kiefer Sutherland’s cinematic “Shirley Jean” video, which tells the story of a man's last night on death row, taking the form of a goodbye letter to a woman he once loved, premiered on CMT channels and platforms June 21.

"It was the one song on the album that obviously was not a very personal story from my own life," Sutherland tells Rolling Stone Country. "I had a huge respect for Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard. These guys wrote about the dirtier side of life and the tougher aspects of life. Cash realized he wasn't a ‘bad guy,’ and that maybe some of these people in prison aren’t 'bad guys.' He gave them a kind of dignity that I really respected. He created an avenue of forgiveness that I don't think was as available at that time. I love the way he did that. So I really wanted to write a song about that."

“Shirley Jean” is the third video releases from his debut album DOWN IN A HOLE (click here to download).

Sutherland is currently in Europe playing sold out shows after a nationwide U.S. tour in May. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets to additional dates on sale now (tour dates below).

Recently, Sutherland performed “Calling Out Your Name” on “The Talk,” and has also performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The View.”  Sutherland also graced the cover of Guitar Aficionado, Goldmine Magazine and Collectible Guitar issues.

Sutherland, known for his starring role in the ABC series “Designated Survivor” and Fox series "24," also starred in movies like “Stand By Me,” “The Lost Boys,” “Young Guns,” “Flatliners,” “A Few Good Men,” “A Time to Kill,” “Dark City” “Melancholia” and most recently, a western called “Forsaken.”

"Summertime, and the livin' is easy" - Ella Fitzgerald

In case you didn't register, Summer officially began yesterday. Yes minions it's on! Which of course made me think of the song Summertime, sung by Ella Fitzgerald. However my first exposure to it was the cover by Janis Joplin

For the longest time I thought Joplin to be the originator of the seasonal song, obviously I thought wrong.
