Just Because...

Julie Newmar & Adam West

Just Because I feel like it. Not to mention I watched some reruns of it recently. Here is Julie Newmar as Catwoman and Adam West as Batman from the 1966 TV Series Batman.

How could one resist Batman which ran a mere two seasons 1966 - 1968, yet clocked in at 120 episodes.

Big names were lobbying to get on there as one of the many colorful villains and from what I hear Adam West and Burt Ward got a lot of shall we say "side action."

My favorite villain was of course Julie Newmar as Catwoman (duh) - she was purrrrfection in the role.

So there you have it! Just Because...

Michael's Musings

I Do Not Like Green Eggs & Ham...
Michael Shinafelt

This week I'm clearly here to eat your dogs and cats. Yeah, I'm that kind of guy after all. Nothing could possibly top the surreal absurdity of Dump, and that's the nice way of putting it.

I did not watch the actual debate. I can not stomach him. I did however watch clips etc...Harris/Walz 2024!!!

This One's For You, Donnie!

Mick Jagger & Bette Midler

As Much as I am at loathe to post anything about Dump, how could I resist reposting this from  the great Bette Midler regarding the upcoming debate! Mic Drop!

"This one’s for you, Donnie! Can’t wait for tomorrow night to watch you poop your pants on national TV as #Kamala reduces you to a quivering mass of slime on the debate stage! And don’t stalk her either. That brat bites."

Perfectly stated Ms. Midler, indeed!

The Bad Ups

Philadelphia's The Bad Ups will release their upcoming LP, 'Life of Sin' on September 27 via Jump Start Records.

Stream the new lyric video for "Ego Trip" here: https://youtu.be/8Rftu45M_zY

Stream on Soundcloud: https://on.soundcloud.com/BsmNX6daJuKDoNH68

Frontman Travis McKayle says,"'Ego Trip' is about finding your place in the world while staying true to yourself."

Pre-order the album here: https://thebadups.bandcamp.com/album/life-of-sin

The four-piece punk band draws heavy inspiration from the Epitaph and Fat Wreck bands of the 90s and early 2000s, while also embracing the rhythms of traditional ska and reggae. Channeling the spirit of Bad Brains, they blend these genres into a unique sound.

McKayle, who is of Jamaican descent, named the band The Bad Ups after the Caribbean patois term “baddup”—which means to treat someone poorly or violently. This name reflects their intense musical style and their ability to connect with the term's cultural roots.

Since their formation in 2018, The Bad Ups have built a dedicated following and shared the stage with prominent acts like Face to Face, The Bouncing Souls, The Adicts, and Street Dogs. Their versatile sound appeals to various punk subcultures, from ska to oi, making them a versatile addition to many lineups.

The Bad Ups are gearing up for a national and international tour to support their debut LP, “Life of Sin.”

Upcoming Shows:

September 28- Landsdale, PA (record release show) @ Round Guys

October 24- Philadelphia, PA @ The Fire
