Let's Go To "Hell Together"
Singer-songwriter David Archuleta has revealed the official music video HERE for his current hit single, “Hell Together.”
“The video (directed by Lily Judge) is a simple concept to portray the emotions of leaving a place you once felt as your purpose and identity but now no longer do. You know you’re supposed to leave but also feel hesitant and scared to leave a place that was what you knew and was your world. The dancing (featuring dancer Oliva Cava who has graced the stage with a plethora of renowned artists, including Anitta, J Balvin, Young Miko, and Marc Anthony) represents the energy of love that propels you forward into the next chapter of your life. It also represents my mom’s love and passion as she herself is a dancer.” says David
“Hell Together” HERE written by David Archuleta, Ryan Nealon, Sam Derosa (lovelytheband, Kylie Morgan) and Jordan Sherman (Niall Horan, Lauren Spencer Smith) debuted at #5 on the iTunes all-genre chart upon release with various Tik Tok videos going viral including this one of David and his mom HERE and another with multi-platinum violinist & Youtube sensation Lindsey Stirling HERE. “Hell Together” with its massive popularity, has already proven to be one of David’s most riveting and most successful songs to date over his 15 year career.
Metro Weekly says - “Hell Together” is powerful and meaningful – qualities that are not always guaranteed when it comes to pop music. It shows a much more mature side of David Archuleta, who is not the young boy who appeared on everyone’s TV screens so many years ago. He’s a grown man, and one who is using his voice to expel his demons and help others with theirs.
David shares some insight about the evolution of the song - ""Hell Together" is inspired by what my mom said to me after I left my Mormon faith and religion altogether. It was a scary place to leave something that was all I knew and that gave me my purpose to live, but it was something I knew I needed to do as I felt a new sense and purpose for life. A few days after I publicly announced leaving the Mormon church my mom texted me saying she had decided to leave too. I was shocked as she was so devout. I asked what made her feel she needed to leave because she didn’t need to follow my example. She said - “If you go to Hell, we’re all going to Hell with you. We’re a family and we’ll always be there for each other, in good or in bad!” I was really moved by that.”
"Hell Together" has a gospel vibe to it as it references the roots of church that are still very much a part of what has defined me despite the journey I’ve had of leaving my faith. It has an uplifting energy. Most people within the church would think you feel dark and lost leaving your faith, but that was not the case for me. I felt like I found myself! It’s meant to show the joy and how by leaving my religion is how I found a greater light. And, more importantly, how much it meant to still have a support system of family still there for me so I wasn't alone when at first I believed I was going to be alone.""
Just this past week David was invited back on American Idol to perform “Hell Together” marking the first time in a decade that he performed on the show. Watch David’s triumphant performance HERE

National Superhero Day
"Each year on April 28th, National Superhero Day honors superheroes, both real and fictional."
Today in case you didn't guess is National Superhero Day...!
I'm not really going to add anything to the quite self explanatory explanation above.
But I will let you in on something personal about yours truly, when I was growing up I wanted to be Batman!
You read that correctly, those Batman comics were dark as night (get it? The Dark Knight?) Thus I am leaving you with my favorite Batman from my favorite movie about him Robert Pattinson straight outta The Batman!
This was the incarnation that captured the comic books that I read in my formative years.

Cancelled
This always in fashion never out of style timely sentiment turned art piece is by the one and only Robbie Williams.
IMO this is what everyone needs to do from this day forward (if you aren't already) it's one of the best forms of self care you can administer to yourself.
Cancelling someone, something or whatever it may be that is blocking you is not a negative thing in the least.
We all have a "You" that needs to not live rent free in our minds and once that "You" is cancelled well let me tell you how much lighter and free your bagge will be.
It will be the size carry on, no need to check anything in.

Time, Time, Time See What's Become Of Me... Michael Shinafelt |
"We think we have all the time in the world, then our bodies tell us differently" - I've been thinking about this quote I saw on Social Media this week. It gave me pause to reflect on how our bodies change as we age. There's been a lot of changes with my body as I approach the big 6-0 milestone.
Some are mildly daunting, others are interesting developments. Most importantly I have my health. Without that you don't have anything, cheers to everyone and their good health!

Hump Day & Chill
For some unkown reason this week's Hump Day & Chill feels like eggplant.
Nothing really specific comes to mind as to why, it's simply an intuitive thang.
Besides we all know what eggplant is the symbol for on Social Media don't we? Oh yes we do and it's something that's on my personal menu every week.
Indeed...

Don't Mess With Taylor Swift...
Look what you made her do...
Kim Kardashian's social media profile is taking a hit in the wake of Taylor Swift dropping a new diss track about the reality TV star.
ICYMI ... Taylor's new song, "thanK you aIMee," is a thinly veiled revenge anthem against Kim -- hence the capitalized letters in the title. In the song, Taylor blasts a bully from her past ... slamming the woman as a "bronze spray-tanned statue."
And, only a few days after the track's release, Kim's lost more than 100,000 fans on social media ... with countless Swifties spamming her Instagram and X pages with vitriol.

Money $$$ l-r Lauren Bacall, Betty Grable & Marilyn Monroe |
Now don't get too excited this isn't going to be some crash course on how to get rich by laying around if you get my drift and I think you do...
This is more like a Sunday Funday post of Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable on the set of How To Marry A Millionaire.
Yeah, I know something of a let down, but not entirely. Hey no one can really tell you how to land someone worth millions, but you can have a whole lotta fun watching this movie if you haven't seen it already. If you have then get two times the fun out of it and watch it again.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Brian Falduto
"Why'd You Come In Here Looking Like That" |
Brian Falduto’s newest single release is another example of what's become the modus operandi for the Hollywood child actor turned country crooner: it's the same old country love song, but it's gay. He covers Dolly Parton’s beloved classic “Why’d You Come in Here Lookin’ Like That,” but his version adds a modern twist that while humorous, also carries real significance to Falduto and a large segment of country music fans that have long felt ignored by the genre. “As far as I'm concerned, we all belong in country music,” he asserts. “White, black, straight, gay… country music is about storytelling and it's time we hear some new stories.”

Monday Motivation
I agree with this quote from Boy George 100% thus it is today's Monday Motivation. The beauty of what he says is that you can apply it to other things as well by simply changing the word "sexuality" out for other things such as "Good Person."
Of course the lead in would need some adjustments as well so then it would read: "If you're so secure with yourself you don't need to say you're a good person" and so on...
See? It's applicable to all forms of narcissistic behavior...
Your Monday Motivation assignment is to insert the "thing" in your life into Boy George's quote. It will cathartic, not to mention fun!!!

To Schwing Or Not To Schwing?
Celebrate! |
So Ricky Martin appeared on stage with Madonna for her Celebration Tour stop in Miami.
There has been some debate as to whether or not Ricky popped a boner on stage or not.
While I personally did not see it in the video, that does not mean that otthers did. It may have blended in the way my eyes saw it.
Honestly even though it eluded me I'm going to go out on a limb and say he did. Those Drag Queens were grinding and writhing in his lap something fierce!
That would cause any man to rise the occassion...

The "Roarin' 20's" Are Back!
Johnny Bloom |
Johnny Bloom aims to usher in a new age of jazz with his debut single, "Roarin’ 20s." The song harkens back to a post-war era when young people danced the Charleston and the Shimmy. It is fun and flirty, with an attention-grabbing groove that mixes elements of blues, ragtime, marching music and African folk rhythm. “I’ve always been incredibly interested in American music through the generations, and the history of New Orleans street jazz, blues, and bandstand music, in particular,” says Bloom. “My main purpose with ‘Roaring 20s” is to help revive a style of music I am passionate about, and to broaden people’s tastes in music. I have discovered that diversifying the music I listen to has absolutely changed my life for the better and I hope it will do the same for listeners.” Johnny Bloom’s “Roarin’ 20s” is being released by So Fierce Music and distributed by The Orchard/Sony Music. It will be available on Spotify and all major music platforms on April 12.

A Total Eclipse Of The Heart Michael Shinafelt |
The Solar Eclipse happened this past Monday and it was amazing! We had a partial one here in Los Angeles, CA and I will be forever grateful to the woman in my yoga class for giving everyone eclipse glasses, because without them the view would have been considerably diminished.
I got an up close and personal detailed view it was truly inspiring, great start to the week. Time to motor...
Damnit, I wish one of my personalities liked to clean, the more you know
Careful it's a gusher, that's all
The trailer to Ti West's upcoming flick in his X horror trilogy Maxxxine looks off the f#cking hook!!!
Well the eclipse has come and gone, Beyonce dropped a country album and still no rapture
I would rather light both my arms on fire than going to something as boring as a puppy shower
Stick to the story and eat me! There's that.
For the record the solar eclipse yoga class referenced above was spectacular not to mention quite hallucinatory, green energy surrounded me

Hump Day & Chill
Ladies & Gentlemen - Medusa! |
While surfing the WWW I spied the above photo of Medusa from Ray Harryhausen's 1981 stop motion spectacle Clash of the Titans!
This took me back to my teenage years and the memory I have of seeing it on the big screen. Thus we are going to Hump Day & Chill to fond memories from our youth. Yeah. I thought you might quite like that.
Personally I love coming across something that triggers these types of memories from my days of yore. Let's face it while there are many great memories one has as an adult the best ones usually are from when we were young and didn't have adult responsibilities.
I never did catch the redo of this gem, I was reluctant to. I didn't want it to tarnish my memory of how much fun the original was when I saw it at the movies.
Besides, while the stop motion effects were dated by this point in film making history, their simpliicity and old fashioned charm added to the film and the story IMO.
Anyway I'm off with Medusa to Hump Day & Chill, what's your fond memory today?
