Alright Minions today is the official opening day of the Barbie Movie and I'm gonna be there 1:20 this afternoon Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Los Angeles.
Here's hoping they have one of those Barbie doll boxes I can get a photo of myself in. "Yes" I am riding the pink wave like many of you out there.

I really don't have anything of any significance on my mind this week. Thus here is a selfie I shot at one of my favorite local places to eat The Kitchen, which serves up comfort food. On this particular day I was being a basic bitch and having a cheeseburger and fries. For those of you who are wondering I take my meat medium rare...told you nothing significant is on my mind presently, no lies detected.

As the Barbie Movie train is roaring full steam ahead into it's opening weekend and I've made no secret about my desire to see it. Well guess what Minions?! It's more Hump Day & Chill Barbie Movie fun!
"Yes" I have already purchased my ticket for the 1:20 showing at Alamo Drafthouse in downtown Los Angeles. Can't wait to kick back imbibe a margarita and let the good times roll.

Advanced word is the movie is a great and no one seeing it will be disappointed in the least.

On July 18, 1980 one of the most 80's of all slasher flicks was released Prom Night this was one of the many post Halloween horror flicks starring the Scream Queen du jour Jamie Lee Curtis. "Yes" that Jamie Lee Curtis who won an Oscar last year for Everything, Everywhere All At Once. Once upon a time she was the reigning Queen of Terror.
I watched this again not too long ago because I wondered what I would think of it as an adult type of person that I am now (I was a teenager when it came out) sure it's dated, quite cheesy in places, but it's a fun time capsule as it is so of it's era, as I stated above: "the most 80's of all slasher flicks."

Last night I had the pleasure of catching Ariel Beesley aka Tender Misfit live at Record Safari in Atwater Village.
Even though it wasn't a full set it was a great show! So great that I am going to go and catch her doing a full set this Friday in an actual concert venue The Bourbon Room in Hollywood. If you live in the area and attend come say Hi. Here are some photos (and a video) for ya from the show...

David Archuleta’s upward spiral continues with the official release of his brand new music video HERE for his latest single, “I’m Yours” HERE “I’m Yours” is a song I wanted to get people dancing and smiling to. It’s all about letting yourself go and being happy with a feel good, summery vibe. It was fun working with video director Brad Hammer and his team because they were able to bring all the bright colors I wanted to life while making things light, fun and unique. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I had fun making it” says David.
David recently spoke about what’s on the horizon musically with Entertainment Weekly – “Up” it’s kind of like the prelude. It’s meant to tie where I’m coming from, my past, my history — but it’s also coming from a place where I was at the bottom of that, at the end of that path. I’ve lived out the end of this, and I don’t know where else to go. This is continuing down a very dark place, and I need to get out of it now. So this is me saying, I’m accepting myself as I am, as a queer person, and letting myself be seen, every aspect of myself. And I’m just letting all of me be seen now. And not being so afraid of hiding myself and being afraid of what people will say if people find out. I’m just like, you know what, now they know! And now it’s just moving up, and I’m gonna have fun. There’s no need to hide anything anymore — just have a good time. There are some really fun songs that are gonna get people dancing as well, that I’m really excited about. And there are still some classic ballads. I feel like these songs are more about love, something that I always shied away from before because it was something I didn’t relate to. I don’t think I ever really experienced love the way everyone talks about in songs and novels and all that. As this will also be my first time attending in a way outside of Loveloud, which is more catered to the Utah culture and community there.”
