Something In The Way...

Grauman's Chinese Theater

Yesterday I went and saw The Batman at the historic Chinese Theater in Hollywood, IMAX style.

Batman is my jam and IMO this was the best Batman movie ever! Robert Pattinson is the best movie Batman ever!

There I said it. Now on to the important stuff. While I have been to movies in a theater last year etc. I really wasn't prepared for how emotional I got being in the iconic Chinese again.

From the hand prints in the cement, to the amazing architecture inside. You can feel the history of this shrine to movie going leap into your soul.

A little bit dramatic? Not really, accurate to my feelings, it is.

I mean I even took this photo of Marilyn Monroe's hand and foot prints (yes I had seen them before) I was feeling so nostalgic.

Sally Forth and smile like you mean it, it's Monday!!!

Here's Looking At You

Pucker Up!
Michelle Pfeiffer

How has everyone's week been? Mine been pretty good, today I'm going to see The Batman at the Chinese in Hollywood IMAX style and I can't wait!

Being as it is the close of the weekend I felt it  called for some levity and also something that is reflective of how I woke up feeling this morning (hey I had a good dream, what can I say???)

Thus when I saw this quite silly photo of Michelle Pfeiffer I knew this was it, this was what captured it all starting my day off.

Oddly I have never seen Michelle act this goofy for a photo ever! I never even new she posed for photos like this. She usually looks so serious or smiling, but never downright off the wall.

So if Michelle can do it...

Bend it like Michelle, here's looking at you!!!

Pretty In Pink Plaid

In The Pink
Amanda Seyfried

When what to my wandering eyes did appear, but Amanda Seyfried heading into Good Morning America in NYC in Pink Plaid...

Maybe I need to get out more often but I've never seen a Pink Plaid suit before, let alone seen it on someone who wears it as well as Ms. Seyfried.

What a sight for my tired eyes this Saturday in the ayem. Something to put a little fun in my and your day.

After all don't each and every one of us need some pretty right here, right now?

Surrender The Pink!

Film Buff Friday: An American Werewolf In London

"A horror film that packs a wallop"  -

Janet Maslin, The New York Times

One of the greatest directors of the 1980s, John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Trading Places), expertly combines macabre horror with dark humor in the lycanthropic classic, An American Werewolf in London. American tourists David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne) are savaged by an unidentified vicious animal whilst hiking on the Yorkshire Moors. David awakes in a London hospital to find his friend dead and his life in disarray. Retiring to the home of a beautiful nurse (Jenny Agutter, Walkabout) to recuperate, he soon experiences disturbing changes to his mind and body, undergoing a full-moon transformation that will unleash terror on the streets of the capital... An American Werewolf in London had audiences howling with laughter and recoiling in terror upon its cinema release. Landis' film has gone on to become one of the most important horror films of its decade, rightly lauded for its masterful set-pieces, uniquely unsettling atmosphere and Rick Baker's truly ground-breaking, Oscar-winning special makeup effects. Now newly restored and presented with an abundance of extra features, this big beast of horror can be devoured as never before...

Michael's Musings

Here It Goes Again
Michael Shinafelt

I remember when I got the above T-Shirt after I gave a donation to the HRC around the time you know who became "President."

Well it is a timely statement yet again, with the current shape of things. What's old always ends up being new again for better or worse. Let's have some fun now shall we? We shall!!!

Look! It's another pair of edible panties!

Tortillas are a gateway drug, the more you know...

Please allow me to hold your artificial leg while you eat chicken

Annoying flesh monkeys, discuss

Can't wait to see The Batman this weekend!

If one of your computer keys is stuck should you get a new computer? Asking for a friend.

Sorry Minions, I don't believe in fairytales, but happy endings on the other hand...

Booze take the wheel, that time I had an Uber driver named Gin

Woman Crush of the Week - I decided to see who the "IT Girl" was the year I was born and was pleased to find it was Elizabeth Montgomery of Bewitched fame. Who didn't have a crush on her as Samantha Stephens?!

Speaking of which it's Women's History Month

I made this jar with a lid, wanna see?

How about that season finale of Euphoria, I have unresolved questions that I guess I'm gonna have to wait two years to get answers to..."sigh"

Go Wild!
Madonna

Hump Day & Chill - Girl Gone Wild

And I want so badly too be good...

And no one can put out my fire
It's coming right down through the wire

Girls, they just wanna have some fun
Get fired up like a smokin' gun

I'm about to go astray, my inhibition's gone away
I feel like sinning

I got that burnin' hot desire
And no one can put out my fire

I know, I know, I know I shouldn't act this way
I know, I know, I know good girls don't misbehave

Hey-ey-ey-ey-eh-ey
Like a girl gone wild, a good girl gone wild

Oink!

Hey Minions, today is National Pig Day, Oink! Thus I thought I would put it out there that last year's Pig starring Nicholas Cage is the most overlooked film this awards season.

You heard me, and I'll say it again if you like. But I think in this case once is enough.

Even though it surely deserved Best Picture recognition the biggest faux paus is Nicholas Cage's overlooked performance in it...in one word: Amazing!

Cage has no problem reminding audiences that he is an Oscar Winner capable of incredible range and depth in this poignant story.

So there I said it.

Hey Academy, you blew this one!
