"Saturday in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July" - Saturday In The Park, Chicago

Was yesterday the 4th of July?! Well I wasn't in the park, or was I??? Perhaps I was picking posies or catching caterpillars. It really makes no difference how I whiled away the hours on July 4th, or perhaps it does.

Time to get this July 5th party started minions!

Just saw a byline that stated: Amber Heard Slammed - some girls have all the luck

It's time to rethink moisturizer, the more you know

I revisited the Billy Wilder classic Sunset Blvd. up on the roof July the 3rd at the Montalban Theater in the heart of Hollywood. I didn't remember it being as funny as it actually is from when I saw it in my youth.

Age = Perspective

A big yawn out to Nikki Bella & John Cena for the lamest PR stunt ever

I have a dream...of course you do darlin'

Heard on the street "I'm Leonard for no reason" - actually there is one, because it's the name your Mama gave you!

David and Victoria Beckham celebrated 19 years of marriage yesterday - Spiceballs
Katy Perry Shoots, She Scores!
"'Cause baby you're a firework, Come on show 'em what your worth" - Firework, Katy Perry

How much is that Pitbull in the window???

It's like a magic bus and can take many riders

Smell what my cauldron is brewing

Ever want to be Jackie Onassis?!

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated
We're gonna do it!" - Name that quote!!!

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling quite resplendent - it's a groovy word Google it!

Current Mood: Happy Birthday America!

Why Don't You Come Up & See Me Sometime...
Stephen Colbert
While I am really not sure what to say about America's 242nd Birthday I do know that the above image of one Stephen Colbert perfectly sums up my Current Mood.

I'm not going to spill on my true thoughts and feelings about the state of our union because my Mama always said "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Yeah, I know that has never really stopped me, but I would like today to be positive and productive

How am I celebrating? Well last night I went to a Rooftop Screening of the Billy Wilder classic Sunset Blvd. @ The Montalban Theater in Hollywood. With my friends Brittney & Naama.

We had a total blast and "yes" we could see fireworks going on in the surrounding area from the roof with a view.

Thus I leave you with a photo of the three of us, oh and don't forget to boogie in the butt, it's the fourth of July after all!

Monday Motivation

Surfs Up & So Am...
Chris Hemsworth

Today to get a little jump start I have enlisted none other than Thor God Of Thunder himself Chris Hemsworth

While I have never surfed in my entire life seeing Chris take to the beach makes me contemplate doing so. That is as long as he is my instructor.

All getting hot and bothered aside, while Mr. Hemsworth is a thing of beauty, he is also quite motivational. Having dropped 46 lbs. and gotten into some of the best shape of my life he inspires me to continue to be my personal best

We should all strive to be the best version of ourselves that we can. That just happens to include taking care of ones self physically as well as mentally. You know, self love, I mean care. Whatever you all know what I'm saying, and it doesn't have to be horizontally either.

On that note now it's time to say goodbye to you all and say "Hello Monday" get motivated and rock it minions!

Saturday Sinema: The Last House On The Left

The Wes Craven original horror classic with tons of bonus material...Yep, a film buffs dream!!!

MARI, SEVENTEEN, IS DYING. EVEN FOR HER THE WORST IS YET TO COME! The directorial debut of Wes Craven, the man behind such horror favourites as A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes and Scream, The Last House on the Left justly retains its reputation as one of the most harrowing cinematic experiences of all time, nearly half a century on from its original release. On the eve of her 17th birthday, Mari and friend Phyllis set off from her family home to the big city to attend a concert by shock-rockers Bloodlust. Attempting to pick up some marijuana on the way, the pair run afoul of a group of vicious crooks, headed up by the sadistic and depraved Krug (David Hess). Gagged and bound, the young women are bundled into a car trunk and driven to the woods, where the gang subject them to a terrifying ordeal of sexual humiliation, torture and murder. Unleashed on an unsuspecting public in 1972, The Last House on the Left shocked audiences with its graphic and unflinching portrayal of interpersonal violence, paving the way for a whole host of cheap imitators looking to capitalise on its success. It is Wes Craven's original alone, however, that remains one of the true watershed moments in horror (and indeed, film) history.

Seeing Red

Just Like Fire
Jessica Chastain
Usually the term "Seeing Red" is reserved to describe the emotion of anger. Well T.G.I.F! I am turning the phrase on it's ass today. That's correct peeps today the phrase for the fired up shall refer to one Ms. Jessica Chastain.

First of all there is nothing like a dame, especially one with fiery red hair. Then pair that with a complimentary red dress and Booyah

Chastain who is currently portraying the adult version of Beverly Marsh in IT: Chapter 2, looks absolutely stunning in both hues of red

For the record I thought IT should have had a title change and been called shIT. "Yes" I found the movie tedious and not scary at all. It was more like a coming of age story than a horror film. Which is fine if that's what I was expecting when I went to see it, but I was expecting a grade "A" horror flick. You know, what the studio advertised.

Thus this audience member was left cold by IT. Fingers crossed the sequel does better in the scare department.
