You know that thing that people do on Social Media to add some levity to your life, post a still from a movie asking what it is and imploring you to give wrong off the cuff, fun/funny answers?
Well today I thought we should take a crack at it here at Entertain Me, it is Sunday Funday after all...
Here's My Wrong Answer: Kramer v Kramer
While I'm sure the majority of you know what film this really is, for those who don't, or for those who simply want to know more about it, the correct answer is at the Wikipedia link below.
Yesterday was Father's Day thus a lot of celebrities and common folk took to Social Media posting photos to pay tribute to that special man in their lives. Well whilst hitting the round-up of said photos I came across this current one of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Captioned:"Happy Father's Day, Bruce! Your kids are so lucky to have you," This took me back to when they were actually married for eleven years, they were a Hollywood power couple starring in many movies that brought them both big paychecks. In fact Moore became the highest paid actress (at the time) in film history receiving a then unheard of $12.5 million for Striptease. Willis made as much as $20 million at the time depending on the role. However this is not what I will remember their legacy for, what I will look back on is a small film they did together that Demi produced called Mortal Thoughts. Her is the synopsis for it: "Mortal Thoughts is a low-key thriller revolving around the relationship between two best friends who are involved in the death of one of their husbands. The movie unfolds as the events leading to a confession are shown in flashback. Joyce (Glenne Headly) is married to the abusive, unfaithful James (Bruce Willis). During an outing at a carnival, James is killed, and Joyce and her best friend Cynthia (Demi Moore) try to cover up the murder." Of course it was so much more than this, as legendary film critic Roger Ebert puts it: "There is another level to Mortal Thoughts than either the guilt or innocence of the characters, or the wit with which Rudolph portrays their world. It is the level on which ordinary people cut themselves loose from ordinary morality." Ebert nailed the truth of this film and this is the reason I love it! Make your day a good one! I have a confession to make, I have not seen Tiger King. Yet, because of the wonder of Social Media I feel like I have. Yeah, there's that. Well the media frenzy has extended to celebs dressing like Joe Exotic during their quarantine downtime. File that under things to do in Hollywood when one is bored. My pick for the best Joe Exotic get up is Rob Lowe pictured above. It's pretty eerie, and there's a feral intensity to Rob that really shouts "Exotic." Thus it makes perfect sense that he and the ubiquitous Ryan Murphy are developing their own version of the truth is stranger than fiction story. Hey, sounds good to me, and aren't you happy??? Impeachment, Impeachment, Impeachment that's all I ever hear! "Yes" it is, and while it is important news, it is equally important to make yourself happy during this trying time. Thus I am not watching any of it as it will only serve to make me angry. Besides with Social Media one really does not have a need to watch it. The news reports I see on my Twitter feed are frustrating enough Thank You very much! On with the show kiddos! I'm bent and twisted, like a balloon animal Seriously, how can anyone have bad breath at this point in history? Overheard: It's so small and light Remember what doesn't kill you just needs more time According to Jessica Simpson, John Mayer was obsessed with her sexually - now isn't that special? Speaking of special how about that leaked Lady Gaga song? Well how about it?! When I squeeze my eyes tight, light exists, but isn't experienced. Go ahead give it a whirl. Private Eyes are watching you. They see you get into the groove.
Woman Crush of the Week - Traci Lords who is making her stage debut tomorrow night at The Montalban in Women Behind Bars. "Yes" I will be there cheering her on! Bathroom Soliloquies & Other Things... Pork Chops & Apple Sauce (you get a gold star if you know the reference, a rock if you don't) "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that" - Martin Luther King, Jr. I may or may not have cried during Judy Read my mind...uh huh, that's right Now that you've guessed what I'm thinking, follow me at: https://www.instagram.com/michaelshinafelt/?hl=en https://twitter.com/MShinafelt
While heading into my last two weeks of wearing a cast to recover from surgery I began pondering my life overall and you know what? It's been a good one. "Yes" rather than focus on the fact that I have lost some of the shape I worked so hard for, I chose to focus on the fact that I really haven't lost that much. (it's true, it didn't go down as badly as I thought it would) - Thus today's Monday Motivation is Gratitude. Gratitude comes when you meditate and clear your mind of all the BS that doesn't matter. It takes a strong person with a lot of will power to do this because in a Social Media age everything is pretty under a microscope and most things are magnified to hold more weight than they actually do. So while in a calm state I made a check list of things I am grateful for, Gratitude. What are those thing? None of your business 😇 Trust Me the process is one that should be practiced everyday to achieve the outcome one wants of it. That would be to be a happier person so you can attract what you want in your life and shut down the rest of it. Just do it! When you tend to your own well being it reflects to the universe and gets magnified back at you. Would I lie to you? No way...!!! PS Some additional wisdom, beware of petty narcissist, they are insidious 😲 Experience Gratitude with me at - https://www.instagram.com/michaelshinafelt/?hl=en https://twitter.com/MShinafelt
While I can't say I actually watched The Enemas, I mean Emmy's. Especially since the small portion I did see was unwatchable. Seriously who wrote that awful patter betwixt presenters?! There was one thing that was more fun and entertaining than the sum of the whole show's parts....Tiffany Haddish's rainbow gown was giving people life at an otherwise dreary affair. Of course being a gay man my mind immediately went to the Rainbow Flag, which I suppose is a valid interpretation. Only I came to find out that Haddish explained that her dress was inspired by the Eritrean Flag which is a tribute to her late Father's home country. Thus I was in the zone going to the flag place when I saw it. Then there was the Social Media take, peeps comparing it to the giant parachutes they used to play with in grade school. Whatever your interpretation for my money Tiffany was the belle of the award show. Makes me wish I had seen her red carpet arrival, but as stated, well you know.... This past Friday, "yes" two days ago. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing a young woman who I have known since she was, well just a kid, grow-up and blossom into one of the best singer/songwriter/musician/performers this dude has ever bared witness to. Ladies & Gentlemen I present to you my evening seeing the singular talent known as Ariel Beesley @ The Satellite in Silverlake, CA! OK, some of this may not be from that evening. I do want you to hear her bomb ass song Slower Than Usual, thus I have included the video for it via YouTube. But and however for the most part...moving on here it is!!!

Cleopatra Entertainment has announced the home video release of DEVIL'S DOMAIN, starring Michael Madsen, Sticky Fingers, Fred Rose, Rene Nezhola (STORAGE WARS) and featuring the music of Iggy Pop, DMX, The Onyx, and more. The film is currently available on all VOD platforms, and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray July 11th.
DEVIL'S DOMAIN is a new-age horror film centered on a cyber-bullying incident at a fictional high school that goes terribly wrong. The victim then seeks her own unique form of revenge, albeit with some super-natural help along the way.
DEVIL'S DOMAIN was written and directed by Jared Cohn (THE HORDE, WISHING FOR A DREAM, THE DOMICILE) and was produced by David Sterling. Brian Perera is Executive producing with Tim Yasui co-producing for Cleopatra Entertainment.
"Devil's Domain is a story about the ramifications of social media, cyber-bullying and how it affects the youth of today," said director Cohn.
Cohn has also been tapped to write and direct the upcoming Cleopatra project STREET SURVIVORS, based on the ill-fated 1977 plane crash that took the lives of several of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band members and crew as seen thru the eyes of Artimus Pyle, the band's drummer at the time and one of the surviving members of the plane crash.
Happy Mother's Day! Yep, this is the day we celebrate all you Mother's out there, you've earned it!
This is going to be a short column, because I am a short man. I would simply like express my gratitude to my Mother Jan Landburg-Shinafelt.
No matter how many tough times there have been, and there have been many, Mom I have always been able to count on you to be there.
I custom made the image above and posted it on her Facebook wall exclusively for her. Oh, and I have also included my favorite pic of her and myself in this blog and posted it on Facebook and Twitter in celebration of the big "M."
My Favorite Mother
Ain't Social Media grand? Also this will be the first and last time you will ever hear me use the term "ain't" in my writing. I know it is now recognized by Webster's as an actual word, but it wasn't when I was a kid growing up.
In fact my Mother used to say, when I uttered it: "Ain't, ain't fell in the paint" - I rest my case.
Wishing all the Mother's out there a happy, happy, joy, joy!!!
"The sun'll come out, Tomorrow, Bet your bottom dollar, That tomorrow There'll be sun!" - Annie Remember that catchy/obnoxious/over optimistic tune from the Broadway Musical Annie? Of course you fucking do, who could ever forget it?! It really is genius whether you like it or not for that reason alone. Well Annie, it's a Hard Knock Life and I'm not so sure about what tomorrow will bring, but the reign has come girl! It's time for me to get in formation and sound off! Lindsay Lohan converts to Islam. The only person that cares about this "news" is Lindsay herself since people are now gossiping about her again. Did any of you spread your legs for the first drop out punk that came along? Inquiring minds want to know. You never know when someone is going to lick a cat, the threat is real. Nihilist Thought Of The Day: Always remember you are somebody's reason to smile, because you are a joke
American Horror Story: Inauguration begins tomorrow! It's said to be the scariest season yet! Can't wait for Lady Gaga to perform at the Superbowl half time show Betsy DeVos=WTF?! They are now synonymous (given what I have witnessed I'm sure I am speaking over her head with that word) Did you hear? It's all the rage to emote in public I'm not a Socialist, but I believe Health Care is a right, not a privilege Someday's you want to rock it like a heathen, that day is now! Hello Everyone, we all know what today is don't we? Why it's Christmas Eve and the first day of Hanukkah. Yes, that's right peeps this year they both fall on the same day, which is pretty cool actually. Which brings me to an E-mail I received the other day from my buddy Tom Connan, it goes something like this...
Hi Michael,
Hope you're well! As you may have noticed, I just released my new single 'You Didn't Give Them A Chance' and the music video is doing great on YouTube already.
I'd be more than happy to have a post about this on your blog.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Tom Connan
But of course I will and just have. Thanks Tom for alerting me to your hot new song, oh and the look, that look you've got going on, very, um, edgy, not to mention sexy.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a giver! Let's kick off the Holidays with Tom's latest single "You Didn't Give Them A Chance."

LaLa Kent
Last season Vanderpump Rulesadded a new female cast member. Someone enigmatic, pretty & sexy as F-U-C-K! One Ms. LaLa Kent. Kent quickly became a fan favorite overshadowing, the regular returning cast Kristen Doutie, Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, Scheana Marie & Ariana Madix. Please those women have nothing on Kent she is an entity all unto herself. LaLa was a breath of fresh air quite different from the usual neurotic & psychotic Sur female employee. She has her feet planted firmly on the ground and knows who the fuck she is. So what does the girl with the most cake do? Set herself apart from the pack, as if she already hasn't, by wearing a sheer dress that reveals one of her best ASS - Sets to the season 5 kick off party for the show. That's code for you could see LaLa's bare bum walking down the red carpet in case you didn't quite get the gist. Part of the reason I am drawn to LaLa is she reminds me of myself. How you may ask? Fluff up your pillow and dream on that one. Season 5 of Vanperpump Rules premieres on Bravo tonight! It's treat time peeps! Here is the latest from troubadour Dudley Saunders. With a statement and video from the artist, that's right two treats in one post. Happy Monday, enjoy your week!
"Here is the 9th lyric video from IN THESE BOXES (and also the album MONSTERS). "What I Won't Do" was written for the film UNITED IN ANGER: A HISTORY OF ACT UP, which I encourage you to see if you haven't. Footage is courtesy of the filmmaker Jim Hubbard.
If you're in New York between November 17 and December 10, an video installation version of IN THESE BOXES (including this video) will be part of the new Visual AIDS exhibit, "Everyday", at La MaMa Galleria (47 Great Jones Street in the East Village)."
It's no secret that I am a big fan of Freeform's Pretty Little Liars. Can you believe that summer finale?! When Noel Kahn got beheaded it was shocking and funny all at once, "yes" I laughed, really hard! What I can't believe is they are going to make us what until Spring for the final ten episodes of the series. April to be exact. I cry foul, the show usually returns in January. Oh, well what is one going to do? Keep up with the "Liars" on social media naturally. It seems like only yesterday I was Tweeting, in fact it was when this fun image of Shay Mitchell came through on my feed with the caption: "Never Stop Smiling" which, yeah, made me smile : ) Shay for those of you who aren't aware plays Emily Fields on PLL. Speaking of Emily, I was intrigued that she and Alison DiLaurentis poartrayed by Sasha Pieterse on the show seem to be coupling. Personally I would love this! Also there is a fan theory out there that actually makes sense. In one of the episodes Emily decides to donate her eggs to make money. They end up stolen, Alison reveals to Emily she is pregnant in the summer finale. The theory is somehow the egg in Ali's womb belongs to Emily thus her unborn child is... Well you get the idea. This is one fan theory I think is going to prove true. Keep Smiling! Shay on Twitter: https://twitter.com/shaymitch
My buddy, transgender actor/comedian Ian Harvie is appearing on the ABC hit show Mistresses this Monday night. Yay Ian!!! Ian shot me this exclusive statement about his guest starring role on the nighttime drama:
"I play a character named "Michael Hester" a wealthy financier who moves to Malibu from NY and hires April Malloy to do the interior of his new home, some feelings are stirred and a kind of love triangle is created between Michael, April and April's man, Marc. This is a modern night time drama, about 3 women who are best friends, and that no matter what they always love each other.. It tackles a lot of great topics including LGBT relationships and non-monogamy, and the writers always leave you hanging!
My run is a 4 episode arch.. 2 episodes have in this 4th season have already aired BUT my episodes start this coming Monday 10pm on ABC" Thanks Ian, I know where I'll be this Monday at 10! Ian on social media: ianharvie.com/ https://twitter.com/ianharvie https://www.instagram.com/ianharvie/?hl=en
“Smackdown” is the first new music from James in over 2 years and will be the lead single off of his forthcoming as-yet-untitled 3rd full length album release slated for this summer. “Smackdown” showcases James’ signature hard rock sound in a grand way with crunching guitar riffs and a truly epic drum beat. From the opening bass riff to the closing scream & all the debauchery in between, James Durbin is back & better than ever before
James has also been invited to perform on American Idol’s finale show Thursday, April 7. Other performers slated to return for the finale show include Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, David Cook and many other former IDOLS.
"I'm really looking forward to being a part of the Idol series Finale. It's really beginning to hit me that this whole thing is gonna be over. I am excited but sad too. I'm honored & grateful to share the end of this show with all my amazingly talented Idol family & lay it to rest together" said James.
Happy Superbowl 50 people! I hope your favorite team wins, you have a fifty/fifty chance of that happening after all. Of course Lady Gaga is guaranteed to score a touchdown for team Mother Monster performing the Star Spangled Banner. Which brings me to this photo of Superman in the flesh, Henry Cavill. Mr. Cavill is a relative newcomer to Social Media joining the flock a mere four months ago. He has now given fans what they have been waiting for, a shirtless selfie! The caption read: “Warm up phase for Superman training started today! Posting this pic to set myself a minimum goal … and force myself to actually keep going haha! @gritandteeth.” Henry will appear next as Superman in Batman v Superman. Then he will portray him in many more film ventures, think of it like Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray. Enjoy the game! Grab a pound of Henry's flesh at: https://www.instagram.com/henrycavill/?hl=en
The Internet is all a buzz, and a Twitter about actor and Arrow star Colton Haynes. Did he come out on his Tumblr page, or didn't he??? Oh, the poetry of ambiguity! Colton has neither confirmed or denied this recent post. Here is what a fan said on Tumblr page this past weekend: “When I found out Colton Haynes had a secret gay past, I got so excited even though I know it makes absolutely no difference in my life." Cheekily Colton responded: "Was it a secret? Let’s all just enjoy life and have no regrets.” Of course his fans went wild on Twitter, did he or didn't he say he was indeed gay? Um, he was never in. That was the whole point of the comment people. While I get the speculation post public admission, Colton is saying he's gay, he was never in, let's move on. Since the fan response has been one of support, that sounds like a grand idea! It's naked boy band time! 5 Seconds Of Summer gets naked for the latest cover of Rolling Stone.
Honestly I have no clue who these guys are, but a PR stunt like this always catches ones attention.
Captured by photographer Martin Schoeller the boys, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford are butt naked. Hands over their nether regions, which from the looks of it we should all be thankful for.
But, that is not what will have their minions burning up social media. Even though they say they are first and foremost a band who makes music for their fans...
It's what they did on tour with their covered junk that will have them buzzing. Hood admits he "got a bit reckless" when he first started receiving attention from girls. Hemmings added, "When you put four young dudes on a tour bus, playing theaters, then arenas, you're going to have sex with a lot of girls, I guess. We had a good time."
There you have it! You know how the saying goes: Boys will be boys. Would you expect anything more?
