Taco Tuesday

Gangsta!
Fergie
One of the things that is missed during this time of quarantine is Taco Tuesday. While this was not a regular thing for me to engage in, I have done it. It's always a festive fun time with a pitcher of margaritas and good friends along for the ride.

So let's have a Taco Tuesday virtually, sort of, shall we? Let's join Fergie wearing the latest must have fashion accessory, the face mask, as she grabs some Taco Bell in Santa Monica, CA.

Yeah, not quite as fun as hitting your favorite Mexican Restaurant, but...

There is a Taco Bell near me, so now I'm contemplating hitting it for some pseudo TT amusement. "Yes" Thank You Fergie, now I am going to pack on even more weight, Ugh!

Mama Hair Monday

Hair
Gabrielle Union
While in quarantine what's a Mom/Actress to do with her hair? in the immortal words of Elsa from Frozen "Let It Go" (PS weird I should reference that movie, since I have never seen it, really I haven't) -

Thus like most people in the world at large Gabrielle Union took to her Instagram account and posted the above photo with her daughter stating: "See @kaaviajames mama's got hair like yours,"

Indeed she does. There are many things to love about Ms. Union, while she is talented and beautiful, she is also very down to earth. She is the mayor of keeping it real.

So keep on keeping peeps and most of all stay safe

Just Because...Raquel Welch

She Wore An Isty Bitsy Teenie Weenie...
Raquel Welch
Just Because we could all use some escapism at present, Just Because Cave Women are exotic & Just Because it's iconic. Here is Raquel Welch  in a her famous fur bikini still from 1,000,000 Years BC, woot!

It's the outfit Ms. Welch wore with great protest and it is one of the most iconic images to ever come straight outta Hollywood. They really don't make stars like they used to and for some random reason visions of Raquel danced through my head while I was sitting at the computer drinking my morning tea.

Nobody does sexy and glamorous like our Lady Raquel. For the record I have screened 1,000,000 Years BC and might I suggest that taking in this image and leaving it at that as the better option?

Yeah, I went there...

Enjoy the view and TTFN!

Film Buff Friday: Elvira Mistress Of The Dark

She's back! Elvira, Horrorland's hostess with the mostest, finally busts out on Blu-ray with this long-awaited, positively bursting-at-the-seams special edition of her big screen debut, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark! Having just quit her job as a Los Angeles TV horror hostess, Elvira receives the unexpected news that she's set to inherit part of her great aunt Morgana's estate. Arriving in the small town of Fallwell, Massachusetts to claim her inheritance, Elvira receives a less than enthusiastic reception from the conservative locals - amongst them, her sinister uncle Vincent, who, unbeknownst to Elvira, is in fact an evil warlock secretly scheming to steal the old family spellbook for his own nefarious ends... Campy, quirky and stuffed to the brim with more double entendres than your average Carry On movie, 1988's Elvira: Mistress of the Dark helped solidify the horror hostess (played by Cassandra Peterson) as a major pop culture icon, here owning every inch of the screen with her quick wit, sass, and of course, cleaving-enhancing gown!
