And The Emmy Goes To - Dolly!

Painted Lady
Dolly Parton
It's Dolly's World, We Just Live In It

'Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle Of Love' receives Emmy nomination in the "Television Movie" category! In the two-hour movie, the Partons, a family of humble means living in the mountains of Tennessee, face a devastating event that challenges their will. But when they experience a bewildering Christmas miracle, the Partons are drawn closer together than ever — with deepened faith and love for one another. Alyvia Alyn Lind, Jennifer Nettles, Ricky Schroder, and Gerald McCraney co-starred in the holiday movie 'Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love,' which aired on NBC, with Dolly Parton making a special guest appearance.

"I am so very proud and excited to have "Christmas of Many Colors" be nominated for an Emmy award," says Dolly Parton. "Special thanks to my partner and executive producer Sam Haskell, a wonderful cast and crew, Steve Herek (our producer) and Pamela Long for a great script. And a special thanks to all of the many fans that watched it."

“This project for me was a celebration of the family and the beautiful story of Miss Dolly Parton. Each day I played Avie Lee Parton was a joy. For "Christmas of Many Colors" to be nominated and celebrated further by the Emmy's, thrills me,” adds Jennifer Nettles.

The 69th Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Sunday, September 17 (8:00-11:00 PM ET/5:00-8:00 PM PT) on CBS. Stephen Colbert will serve as host. The 69th Emmy Awards is produced by White Cherry Entertainment. Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are executive producers; Weiss is director; and Chris Licht, executive producer of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is a producer.

Just Because...Caption This

Fred & Ginger?
Mitch Grassi & Scott Hoying

Just because it's Friday, just because it's fun & just because it's super fruity, I present this gender bending image of Mitch Grassi & Scott Hoying of Superfruit. See I told you it was super fruity!

So let's have some T.G.I.F. f-u-n shall we and find something imaginative to caption this photo with. As you can see I put "Fred & Ginger?" above since the boys are dancing, you know as in Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers.

Another I thought up was "The Lady Is A Tramp" an old song sung by Frank Sinatra

Yeah, I know none of my references are really trendy and now. My brain works toward the more classic end of the spectrum.

But, hey if any of you out there think of something clever I would love to hear it, seriously.

So let's have a Fruity Friday shall we?

Michael's Musings

Between A Rock & A...
Michael Shinafelt
In this day and age of social media, which I have been quite attentive to for business matters, I took some very minor down time this weekend. Only to find the fall out was pretty noticeable.

So all apologies for this, that & the other thing. The minute I came back all was well in the world.

So let's get to it, here is the week that was and will always be. Hey, it's a constant craving, moving on...

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Colorful, As Always
Pink
Hey all you "Mean Girls" out there it's Wednesday, hope you have your pink on, while I am not wearing pink, I am bringing the pink as in Pink the singing superstar!

She was caught looking just as colorful as her namesake in New York City recently. Pink has been keeping a pretty low profile, but has been seen out and about and been performing more recently.

Cheers that she is planning something big and the world will become Pink and we just live in it.

We could all use some of her dynamic singing and performing again in these obtuse times.

It's Wednesday and I am definitely bringing my Pink game to the table.

Ciao!

Just Because...It's Weird

It's All Fun & Games Until...
Miranda Kerr
Just because it's weird, just because it's visual & just because it's Miranda Kerr, here is yet another one of a kind image from Tokyo.

That's right kids just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful photo op of Ms. Kerr and a Japanese food company mascot who goes by the name Marukome Kun. Yeah, you read that correctly, I don't get it.

All I know is it has something to do with promoting food, but honestly I find Marukome to come off more than a little disturbing. With his big blank eyes and wide open mouth...I will stop short of going there, think about it, but not too much.

Miranda is giving good face despite what I think is a totally awkward and perverse situation. Seriously would you want to be photographed with that?! I thought not.

Be disturbed, be be disturbed!

The Horror: Devil's Domain

The Devil really did make her do it...

Cleopatra Entertainment has announced the home video release of DEVIL'S DOMAIN, starring Michael Madsen, Sticky Fingers, Fred Rose, Rene Nezhola (STORAGE WARS) and featuring the music of Iggy Pop, DMX, The Onyx, and more. The film is currently available on all VOD platforms, and will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray July 11th.

DEVIL'S DOMAIN is a new-age horror film centered on a cyber-bullying incident at a fictional high school that goes terribly wrong. The victim then seeks her own unique form of revenge, albeit with some super-natural help along the way.

DEVIL'S DOMAIN was written and directed by Jared Cohn (THE HORDE, WISHING FOR A DREAM, THE DOMICILE) and was produced by David Sterling. Brian Perera is Executive producing with Tim Yasui co-producing for Cleopatra Entertainment.

"Devil's Domain is a story about the ramifications of social media, cyber-bullying and how it affects the youth of today," said director Cohn.

Cohn has also been tapped to write and direct the upcoming Cleopatra project STREET SURVIVORS, based on the ill-fated 1977 plane crash that took the lives of several of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band members and crew as seen thru the eyes of Artimus Pyle, the band's drummer at the time and one of the surviving members of the plane crash.
