Body Slamming For Jesus! "Wrestling With Satan"

Wrestling With Satan
coming on January 20th

Body Slams and Sleeper Holds For Jesus....
Welcome to the World of Christian Wrestling!

The title says it all, and this falls under the category of: just when you thought you've heard and seen it all, you thought wrong!

"The Christian Wrestling Federation bodyslams for Jesus-literally. On the surface, the CWF looks like a normal WWE wrestling event, with costumed characters jumping from the ropes and wrestlers being hit in the back of the head with chairs. Sometimes there's blood. Sometimes there's an elbow to the thorax. Except, these violent wrestling moves are all done for the love of Jesus Christ and to save souls." - Harmon Leon, AlterNet (September 25, 2014)

Wrestling With Satan follows the Christian Wrestling Federation as they travel across the US with an arsenal of hope, faith and professional wrestling action. From humble beginnings deep in the heart of Texas, follow this band of evangelical warriors as they pack up their ring and preach the message of Jesus Christ to hundreds of wrestling fans in small towns across the nation, savings souls with both head-smashing and Bible thumping. This is their incredible story of determination helping others grapple with Satan.

"Grease" Live Is The Werd

Hudgens & Hough
In the tradition of Sound of Music live, and because of it's record breaking ratings. A live version of Grease is coming to FOX January 31st 2016 - werd!
The first two casting announcements were made today - and this writer found them a mixed bag.
Julianne Hough will play Sandy, um I'm not sure about the rest of you , but I find the former Dancing With The Stars star and now judge pretty uninteresting. I certainly don't think she can and ever will compete with my first girl crush Olivia Newton-John.
Next up Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. Now this is something I can get behind, she is one of my current girl crushes, and I think perfection casting wise.
Julianne had this to say (source E!Online) "Grease is one of the movies that made me want to be an entertainer, and I have literally been waiting my whole life to play Sandy," Hough said. "My siblings and I watched it and played it out over and over when we were kids. This is my dream role and performing it live on television will be one of the most thrilling opportunities I've had in my career so far."
Cutie Vanessa Hudgens who will be on Broadway in Gigi states (source E!Online) "Being Rizzo is something I've never imagined, and I love that because it will be a new challenge. She is such an iconic character that continues to transcend generations. I cannot wait to bring her to life on live television. I'm going to be a Pink Lady!"
OK, Zac Efron as Danny Zuko anyone?!

Dolly Parton's New Development

Dolly Parton Keeps Developing

DOLLY PARTON SIGNS DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH NBC

Network to Develop Slate of Two-Hour Movies With Legendary Country Icon as Producer

Like, who out there does not love Dolly Parton?! Given this news perhaps a live broadcast of the musical "Hello Dolly" should be on the fast track!

NBC has signed a development deal with Dolly Parton, one of the most honored female country musicians of all time and an American icon.

"I am so excited to be involved with my friend Bob Greenblatt, who produced the Broadway version of '9 to 5: The Musical' with me, and my longtime friend and former agent Sam Haskell. We want to create projects for NBC that are both fun and inspirational with a family audience in mind," said Dolly Parton.

In conjunction with production partner Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, NBC will develop a slate of two-hour TV movies based on the songs, stories, and inspiring life of Dolly Parton. This extraordinarily prolific country music artist and movie star will produce these projects that are meant to appeal to an inclusive family audience.

"I don't know anyone in the world who doesn't love Dolly Parton, and the idea of developing television movies inspired by her incredible life and the stories she has sung about for decades is exciting to all of us at NBC," said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment." I hope we will create some uplifting movies that the entire family can enjoy together, a genre of programming that still seems largely untapped on television."

Added Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment: "We all feel so lucky to be in business with Dolly. We're so excited about working with her to infuse these movies with her incredible work ethic and that genuine hopefulness and positive outlook that has been her trademark for years. And you can bet there will be a lot of her music in them too."

Margaret Cho: Sex, Globes & Busking

Margaret Cho: Bring It!
Photo: Kyle Christy for TLC
"I'm of mixed North and South Korean decent. My people have been separated, incarcerated, starved, brainwashed and denied free speech for over 65 years. The only weapon I have is comedy. If you deny us the most basic human dignity, I have the right to make fun of you. I'm not playing the race card. I'm playing the rice card. "  Margaret Cho

This was Margaret Cho's response regarding her show stealing appearance on the 2015 Golden Globes Award Ceremony when some people declared what she did racist. Margaret was just doing what comes naturally to her, pushing the envelope and "playing the rice card" like she has for many years prior to the high profile evening.

In addition to her recent triumph on the Globes Cho also has a new TV show. What's it about? It's All About Sex, she along with Heather McDonald, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry let it all hang out every Saturday night at 11 pm on TLC.

And she recently took to the streets of San Francisco to busk a move for the city's homeless in honor of the late Robin Williams

OK you all know the drill, it's time to get down to business, Cho business!

MS: Hi Margaret, I hear you have a land line today.

MC: Oh I know it's like, I have no reception in this building and it's really crazy! It's so weird to be that cut off so it's very exciting to have a land line.

MS: Congratulations on the Golden Globes that was really awesome!

MC: Thank you.

MS: What a surprise it was really kept under wraps.

Hey North Korea, We're Addressing You! l-r Tina Fey, Margaret, Amy Poehler
MC: It was a big secret. Tina Fey and I had talked about it and said that is was our secret thing. Her and Amy Poehler didn't tell anybody it was going to happen, it was great! I love those guys!

MS: They were going to tell jokes about North Korea anyway, this took it to the next level.

MC: Right and they actually had somebody of North Korean decent to be able to sock it to them! (laughs) I mean I really wanted to sock it to North Korea, my family has been separated for sixty-five years. They've been tortured, killed and starved for over a generation and a half. It's really important to me to be able to make that statement against them, because the only weapon I have is comedy. It was a great, beautiful pleasure to do it.

MS: People's backlash against you doing it seemed really strange to me.

MC: Because people are racist, it's just racism and it's really sad. There is so much anti-Asian things out there in comedy. Yet the only time anyone makes a fuss is when I do something. That's fucked up.

MS: It's totally fucked up. No one I know thought anything like "Ooooooo racism" when they saw it. All I heard from friends was how great you were.

MC: Because you don't know any racists! (both laugh) You don't know anybody who is racist! (laughing)

MS: Well I wouldn't tolerate it.

MC: That's good, yeah I wouldn't either so it's shocking to me too.

MS: You played the "rice card."

MC: Yeah, those are my people and I'm playing the "rice card."

MS: Let me play Devil's Advocate really quickly here. Since this whole race thing came up, and it is something that never would have occurred to me. How would you have felt if a Caucasian comedian, say Tina Fey did what you did?

MC: Well I don't think she would. I don't think anybody would and I would be disappointed because I would want to do it. This type of thing is my job.

MS: How was meeting Meryl Streep?

MC: Afterward she kissed me.

MS: Ooooooooh!
Yes! Benedict Cumberbatch Photo Bombing Meryl Streep & Margaret

MC: She kissed me on the cheek after and it was so warm and loving and generous. I was super excited about Benedict Cumberbatch photo bombing me. I am a total Cumberbitch! When I was rehearsing the angle of the photo I pointed the camera in his direction hoping he would do it, and he did. (laughs)

MS:  Let's talk about your latest TV show All About Sex on TLC. I caught the premiere episode and I like what Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry said about women having extramarital affairs. That women have always been having them, but now they are just more open about them. I think that is true.

MC: Right. We're able to be more honest now about our dishonesty.

MS: Like you said on the show women are conditioned to lie, be duplicitous.

MC: Be liars, be duplicitous. To not sort of tell the truth and to be very good at it. To save people's feelings, not to be emasculating...whatever the reason. It's very much ingrained in us to have a double agent personae.

MS: (laughs) I like that, I know plenty of women who are just as horny as men.

MC: Exactly!

MS: Did you know I write about sex?

MC: Yes,that's great!

MS: Like you, I don't have a degree in that field but I have an opinion.

MC: Everybody is an expert actually. We all know what it is and what's going on, we can all speak to it.

MS: The first episode was titled "Friends With Benefits" that's something you like, correct?

Hot Stuff! Margaret Cho
Photo: Dusti Cunningham
MC: Yeah, that's a thing, as is long love affairs, monogamy and one night stands. They're all different and they're all great in their own way. They all have pros and cons, any kind of human connection that's sexual has the potential to be fulfilling.Every connection with another human being is different, you grow to enjoy and respect the differences. The world is full of people and you've got to figure out and navigate your own way through it.

MS: Tell me about busking for the homeless in your home city of San Francisco in honor of Robin Williams.

MC: It was great! I got to bring all the different things I do together...comedy, singing and burlesque, I would just get naked in the street. That raised a lot of money, people would see my body and give me money, I don't know why (laughs) but I raised a lot of money for the homeless. I would put money in my G-string and give it to homeless people, and they were so happy they were crying. It was so beautiful, we were able to set-up haircuts for homeless people, we had the show happening and food, money and clothing were being donated. There was a beauty salon on the corner with many talented people donating their time giving manicures and pedicures on the street. That's incredible! This would go on for three hours at a time all over San Francisco it was really profound, I really loved it.

MS: Awesome!

MC: What's really remarkable was there was a big storm and the city opened up a bunch of buildings so homeless people could have shelter from the rain. Also Google donated two million dollars to the homeless the same week we performed. I feel like we started some sort of consciousness about the homeless that had a greater effect than what we were just doing.

MS: Very cool. Of course you're touring in 2015, where are you recording your special?

MC: At the Gramercy Theatre in New York, the special will be recorded on March 7th, I will also be performing there on March 6th as well. The show is all about how to deal with the problems of the world we're encountering and how to manage our own reach around the injustice. It's called "There's No I in Team, But There is a Cho in Psycho" (both laugh).

MS: This is off the cuff but do you ever watch "The Good Wife?" something you just said made me think of it.

MC: Oh, my really great friend Alan Cumming is on that, no I haven't seen it.

MS: You should watch it sometime I think you'd love it.

MC: I will, Alan is the best guy!

It's Chumming! Sharknado 3!

You know the old saying "When pigs fly out my ass?" Well F#@k those trough eaters, the likelihood of sharks flying out your ass is inevitable, bitches!
That's correct flying out of our collective asses in 2015, Sharknado 3 is coming, or is that chumming?
Whatever! This I know Tara Reid and Ian Ziering are returning. Yippee ki yay shark bait!
Sharknado 2: The Second One was Syfy's most-watched original movie with 3.9 million viewers.
When viewers last saw Ziering's Fin and Reid's April, they were battling sharks in New York. Reid's character got a saw hand. Is that the opposite of a not seen hand, just asking?
Location, location, location.. Ian Ziering had different ideas on that topic. "I think it should be a European city. We have so many foreign fans, I think we should take the movie to them," Ziering stated "I thought wouldn't it be great instead of demolishing a city, if we, through a Sharknado, could rebuild it? Wouldn't it be fantastic if we went to Italy and Sharknado straightened the Leaning Tower of Pisa."
Food for thought.

Miley Cyrus: Don't Step On Her Blue Suede Shoes

Mley Cyrus Is An Elvis Fan
Miley Cyrus channeled the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley when appeared in an all white outfit as the hostess with the most cake at the opening of W Magazine's Shooting Stars exhibit.

"I was thinking this was very Elvis Presley," Cyrus stated "I thought it felt right because it was just his 80th birthday."
The bash took place at the Wilshire May Co. Building the future home of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Museum.
Large posters of celebrity portraits from the pages of W hung from the walls of the all black room.

Even though she did not wear any Blue Suede Shoes, Miley's tribute to Elvis was dead on.

The Shooting Stars exhibit, presented by Hugo Boss and supported by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, runs through Feb. 22.

So Cool: Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield

Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield: Peek-A-Boo We See You!
Although I have had ample opportunity, living in Los Angeles, CA and all. This is something I have never done or will do.
Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield have to be the coolest couple of all time.
Whilst the two were merrily dining in New York City, they were spotted by a fan who thought they would play the spy game by trying to snap a photo of the two stars of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Oooooooops! Epic fail! Catching the fan in the act, instead of yelling, slugging or screaming at the amateur paparazzo, they photo bombed their own picture.
Love these two!
The snap happy fan wrote this about the her attempted bid to join the paparazzi wanna be's:
"Ok, so... either I caught a great moment between #AndrewGarfield & #EmmaStone or I clearly got caught and I am officially FIRED as a paparazzi...#oops," she captioned the pic she posted on Instagram.

Everyone Seems Normal Until You Fall in Love...

Keep it real -

Diving Normal questions what it means to be normal, and ultimately lends the argument that maybe there is no such thing. We’ve all felt lost, unloved, isolated, and unable to connect; this is a story about embracing those differences, regardless of how exposed or broken they make us feel, in order to finally see that we belong.”
– Jessica Tomberlin, Go See Talk

Brooke Shields Inspires

Brooke Shields: Hot and She Knows It

So this 49 year old got back from Christmas with his family and hit the eating healthy and back to the gym thing. When what to my wandering eyes online did appear? A fantastic photo of a same aged Brooke Shields, minus the tiny reindeer.

Brooke looks amazing at 49, and is my inspiration for the New Year to make myself my own personal best I can be.

OK, I will never look like Ms. Shields, for obvious reasons. The main one being I am not a woman.

She is inspirational though as she has been one of the few Hollywood stars who has aged gracefully without a grotesque Nip/Tuck - a show which she has guest starred on coincidentally.

Am I saying she hasn't had work? No. I actually have nothing against plastic surgery I would get it on my eyes if I had the dough. What I am stating is, she has aged well and looks like a magnificent older version of herself.

Yes, I am a Brooke fan, from The Blue Lagoon to Suddenly Susan, I think she is terrific!

She currently has a tell all book out that is quite juicy titled: There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me.

Best to the two of us turning 50 in 2015, Cheers!

I Am The "King Of Herrings"

Devolver Digital Films to Release
King of Herrings
A Feature-Length Tragic Comedy
By Eddie Jemison & Sean Richardson
Following Complex Characters Behaving Badly
Digital VOD Release - January 20, 2015

Little Fish Eats Little Fish

King of Herrings exists on a very specific wavelength. One that I happen to like."

– Steven Soderbergh

Hey if it's good enough for Steven Soderbergh...

Devolver Digital Films to Release
King of Herrings
A Feature-Length Tragic Comedy
By Eddie Jemison & Sean Richardson
Following Complex Characters Behaving Badly
Digital VOD Release - January 20, 2015

Devolver Digital Films is proud to announce the digital VOD release of the award-winning new tragic comedy, King of Herrings. Co-Directed by Eddie Jemison and Sean Richardson, the gritty black and white feature film is a nuanced character study that explores the relationships between a delusional group of societal leftovers in a Woody Allen meets David Mamet pocket of New Orleans, as they drink, play cards, and ultimately clash over a strange and beautiful woman. The film’s digital VOD release is scheduled for January 20, 2015 via iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Vimeo on Demand, VHX, Gumroad, Google Play, YouTube Rentals, and others. For additional information, please visit http://www.kingofherrings.com and http://www.devolverdigital.com/films/view/king-of-herrings.

King of Herrings features a strong ensemble cast of film and TV veterans, with roots and common bonds in Louisiana, who've worked together for over 25 years, including: Jemison (Ocean’s 11, HBO’s HungBruce Almighty), Joe Chrest (21 Jump StreetAviatorREDThe Ring), David Jensen (The Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonLooperOcean’s 11), Wayne Pere (Galaxy QuestPirates of Silicon ValleyOcean’s 13), John Mese (WeedsFrom the Earth to the MoonSchizopolis), and Carl Palmer (Dallas Buyer’s ClubThe Pelican Brief).

“While most of the characters in the film are flawed people, there is a sense of humanity to all of them – you have sympathy for each character at some point in the film,” says Richardson, “They are human, perhaps exaggerated versions of people you know, or maybe even yourself."
King of Herrings (Comedy-Drama, 2014, 82 min.) –

An offbeat look at four layabouts from New Orleans, who dream big in a small change world of cards, women, and endless cups of coffee. Their passionate blundering, like their rants, can be at once funny, poignant, ridiculous, and heartbreaking. “Ditch,” their self appointed king, is an irascible son-of-a-bitch with a Napoleon complex, and his pals love him for it. Until one day he pushes the self-tenured “Professor” too far. A game of threats, posturing, and sexual ploys lead them down a dark but comic road in this exploration of what it is to be a man today. Filme d in black and white, this richly textured character study could be the bastard child of Woody Allen and Tom Waits, brought to life by an ensemble of real-life character actors who have known each other and worked together for over 25 years. The cast features Eddie Jemison, Joe Chrest, David Jensen, John Mese, Wayne Pere, Laura LamsonAndrea Frankle, and Carl Palmer.

“The trigger in the film is a fight over the paltry sum of nine dollars… but it’s not the nine dollars that matter, it’s what the nine dollars represent,” says Jemison, “Respect. That is what these people fight for, because – like all of us, who, in the end, really have nothing – respect is the ultimate currency."

Awards –
• Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature – New Orleans Film Festival
• Breakthrough Filmmakers Award – Phoenix Film Festival

The film was also featured in the Louisville Festival of Film, RxSM Festival in Austin, Rainier Film Festival, Dances With Films, and Waterfront Film Festival.
