Back To "Earth" - David Bowie

"You're face to face with the man who fell to earth"

It's really no secret I am a huge David Bowie fan, I mean fuck, he was my first concert ever! Well guess what's happening now? The Man Who Fell To Earth is turning the big 4-0 and getting a restoration...!!!

For those of you out of the loop it's a cult/indie/critically acclaimed piece of art in which Bowie portrays an alien on earth, thus it's title.

Because of Bowie I became a Nicolas Roeg fan. This film was unlike anything I had ever seen before, I can't even begin to describe all of my reactions to it in a few words, but as an impressionable fan of cinema and David Bowie, the passion I feel for this production is to the moon and back.

Of special interest to fans of Ziggy Stardust, the 40th Anniversary of the Sci-Fi opus will see the release of the soundtrack for the very first time, like a virgin.

The Man Who Fell to Earth arrives in theaters on September 9 and will be released on DVD/blu-ray on October 24.

Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris have premiered a new lyric video for an unreleased alternate version of “Wildflowers.” The Parton-penned track, which was originally released on their 1987 collaboration Trio, is featured on the upcoming three-CD set THE COMPLETE TRIO COLLECTION. The video can be viewed here and the track is also available now at digital retailers.

Parton, Ronstadt, and Harris have three careers unparalleled in music history. Together they have sold over 200 million albums worldwide and performed for decades in front of countless fans around the globe. It’s no surprise that when their three voices united to release their debut collaboration, the results were remarkable. The threesome released two albums together, Trio (1987) and Trio II(1999), which have combined to sell more than five million copies worldwide and win three Grammy® Awards.

Both of these classic albums have been newly remastered for a three-CD collection packed with rare and unreleased music. Produced by Harris, THE COMPLETE TRIO COLLECTION will be available on September 9 for a list price of $29.98.

I'm "Hooked"

OK, how can anything get any more enigmatic than the recent batch of teasers for American Horror Story Season 6?! We have a poster with the moniker "Hooked" and a new teaser that appears to be a botched alien abduction that gives a whole new twist on the "Bend & Snap" routine from Legally Blonde.

The only concrete thing we know about this season which premieres Wednesday September 14th, merely a few scant weeks away, on FX is this: It's set in the lost colony of Roanoke and explains "what happened" AHS style....other than that, who knows what the Hell that is going to be.

Personally I love that they are keeping this season a complete mystery. I have seen some restlessness from fans of the show on the web who want to know, and want to know now! Well, take a valium Veruca Salt and enjoy the fun leading up to the premiere like me!

Thus my repeat of a nude image of Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps that appeared in the 2014 ESPN Body Issue shot by Carlos Serrano. "As If" skimpy swim trunks ever hid anything?! But here you get a view of the Rio Gold Medal Winner for the 200 meter individual medley's booty in the flesh minus the flimsy covering.

The community is stalked by a psychopath bent on cleaning the city of "impure and damned souls". Moretti and Succo are the detectives in charge of finding the killer of these "Dantesque" crimes. Francesca has returned, but she is not be the same girl they once knew.

My name is Mary Tyler Moore I'll be your Mistress tonight...

A long time ago  on TV there was a sitcom called The Dick Van Dyke Show. It starred Dick Van Dyke (duh) and Mary Tyler Moore as his wife. In typical TV comedy fashion everyone was happy and the problems were work related. 

Both of them went on to do many other things, Dick notably playing Burt in Mary Poppins opposite Julie Andrews. Mary Tyler Moore had her own long running self titled sitcom and received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of ice cold Mom Beth Jarrett in on of my favorite films Ordinary People directed by Robert Redford.

Cut to me on the internet last week not sure where I saw this but I came across this quite kinky photo of the two stars shot by famed photographer Annie Leibowitz in 1995. Not sure why it was shot or for what, but I love it and decided to give you all a blast from the more recent past of the two former co-stars.

Making Out With "The Joker" Is Nasty

One would think getting up close and personal with Jared Leto would be all kinds of sexy, right?

Well apparently it's nasty, and not in the fun way, when he is made-up to portray The Joker in Suicide Squad. 

Co-Star Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn his love interest and partner in crime explains that there were 10 minute make-up touch ups in between takes of the kissing scenes. Now I am not sure how many of you are familiar with the technical end of how takes work, but that is a massive effort for one shot, wow!

But, she had no problem putting the moves on Leto in his scary ass Joker get up. Once you get over the initial shock she explained it becomes normal.
