Monday Motivation

Meditation = Monday Motivation - While I have meditated in the past it has only been on occasion, not as a regular practice. Thus with my impending surgery on the 16th I feel the needed to get my mental state in the best and strongest place it can be. Dissipate my anxiety and just plain chill out.

Thus today I am going to take the time to get my zen on everyday starting today until the going under the knife.

Although I listed my reasons above, for wanting to go inward, here are some others from an article I found online.

Research shows that meditation can:
  • Reduce stress
  • Increase energy
  • Improve sleep
  • Decrease anxiety
  • Increase creativity
  • Make you look younger and live longer
Sounds like a good gig to me. So surrender and enjoy your week and Motivate your Monday with some good old fashioned meditation

World Pride

She's Got Spirit!
Lady Gaga
Today is the official last day of World Pride, and while the party may be over, the celebration should continue. "Yes" life should be a celebration every damn MotherF#cking day!

Bear witness to Lady Gaga sauntering her way in rainbow regalia to The Stonewall Inn, the place where the first Gay Pride was literally a riot. Hence on the 50th Anniversary of the historic event which transpired on June 28th in NYC - the Pride Party this weekend in the city of origin is an extravaganza!

So of course Gay ally our Lady of Gaga is out in full force and rocking it like a unicorn! Hey, she was Born This Way...

Thus on the last day of the party I leave you with this delightful image to remind you to keep on keepin' 365 days all the time. You and your life are a reason to celebrate!

Weird Science

"Weird Science, Plastic tubes and pots and pans
Bits and pieces and
Magic from the hand"
- Weird Science, Oingo Boingo

THEY WENT FROM ZEROES TO HEROES IN ONE FANTASTIC WEEKEND. If you can't get a date... make one! After proving himself the king of heartfelt teen flicks with Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, writer-director John Hughes infused the genre with a hefty dose of wacked-out sci-fi comedy in Weird Science, a film where every teenage boy's wildest fantasies come to life. Perenially picked-on high school nerds Gary (Anthony Michael Hall, Sixteen Candles) and Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) are sick of their status at the bottom of the social food chain. Using Wyatt's computer, the two hatch a plan to create their dream woman - and following a massive power surge, that woman unexpectedly appears in the form of Lisa (Kelly LeBrock). Gorgeous, intelligent, and blessed with limitless magic powers, Lisa makes the boys' dreams come true... but what about Wyatt's gun-toting psycho older brother Chet (Bill Paxton), and the two bullies (Robert Downey Jr and Vamp's Robert Rusler) determined to put them back in their place? Inspired by EC Comics and boosted by a killer soundtrack (including the classic title theme by Oingo Boingo), Weird Science has never looked better than in this new special edition, including an exclusive extended version of the film featuring deleted scenes never released on home video before.

Bonus Materials
