This Happened: Lizzie McGuire Reunion

Hey Lizzie, Let's Go Bowling!
l-r Lalaine, Hilary Duff & Jake Thomas
With all the chaos going on of late in the world I thought it would be nice to take a break and enjoy a little nostalgia.

Hilary Duff was recently On Air With Ryan Seacrest and revealed how she is on Tinder and went bowling with her mystery date with the moniker Tom and some friends.

She then spilled that those friends were her former Lizzie McGuire co-stars Lalaine and Jake Thomas who played Miranda and Matt.

OK, I admit I have no idea who they are as I never watched Lizzie McGuire, but I do remember it being on air and Duff being everywhere.

I remember liking Hilary in general for being who she is, so, yeah, this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy nonetheless.

Happy Hump Day!

Dudley Saunders: Wheelchair In The 7-11 Parking Lot

Hey, It's Dudley
Dudley Saunders is here with his latest video for the song Wheelchair In The 7-11 Parking Lot. Read his artists statement about it below -

"In mid-century Russia, he dreamed of escaping to America with his wife. But he ended up in the Gulag in Siberia, where he was starved and worked and beaten like an animal you hate.
And after years of this, when they saw how broken he was, they surprised him with a conjugal visit from his wife, in the House of Meetings. They knew he was too broken to do anything with her, and that this would break him further.
And then years later the Iron Curtain falls and he is released. And he moves to West Hollywood, California without his wife, who has long since passed. He’s old. And there he has all the freedom he ever dreamed of. But he spends his nights in the parking lot of a 7-11, watching other Russians on the make, fulfilling their capitalist dreams. He lounges in an old wheelchair he has found."

Paint Your Nails For Bruce

Bruce Jenner & Diane Sawyer
Who knew that the simple everyday act of polishing one's nails could take on a larger meaning? Well it has...

Men are getting their Instagram & Tweet on and painting their finger nails in support of Bruce Jenner's transition to a woman.  #PaintYourNailsforBruce

The social media movement originated at KIIS 1065 in Sydney as a way to show solidarity with Jenner. Women are now joining the ranks as well.

Nail polish was the chosen symbol of oneness because as Bruce pointed out in his interview with Diane Sawyer

"I'd like to be able to have my nail polish on long enough that it actually chips off."

Love This Joker: Jared Leto
This has been making the rounds on the Internet, yep, it's the first image of Jared Leto as The Joker in the D.C. villains themed film Suicide Squad - Writer/Director David Ayer tweeted it on Friday night.

While some of you may be going: Yikes! I am going, bring it sexy! Something about this Joker makes me want to push myself to the edge and take the plunge!

Leto can even make evil & freaky, F#@king Hot!

I'm especially loving the "Damaged" tattoo across his forehead, not to mention all the other ones one his body...I now know what I want for Christmas.

Evan Peters: Five For Five

Evan Peters Meet Tate Langdon

Evan Peters will be returning to American Horror Story for it's fifth season. This makes him the only actor to do the show all five seasons.

As we AHS fans all know Jessica Lange is bowing out this season. Although I have liked him in all the seasons my favorite character he has played on the anthology series is Tate Langdon from season one "Murder House."

On American Horror Story: Hotel he will be playing a character know as:

The Prowler, a mysterious young man that can be found hanging around the hotel and dark alley ways - in the early and present day segments.

Sounds like we have another Tate like treat from Evan.

Season 5! Season 5! Season 5! Yay!

World War IX: Hang Up Their Six Pack

World War IX: No Bottles Here...
WORLD WAR IX
"If One Of Those Bottles Should Happen To Fall" EP / Comic Book
Coming May 12th

99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer, if one of those bottles should happen to fall, how many World War IX's on the wall?

"WWIX doesn't radically invent punk, but they do fill the needed gap
for nasty, sloppy, reckless abandonment that seems to have declined
with the rise of the Internet." - John Gentile, PUNK NEWS

What happens when the founding member of one of New York City's drunkest punk bands decides to hang up his six pack and go sober? Well, feast your eyes and ears on this crushing new 5 song EP and 32 page full color comic book, dual release behemoth, and find out!

Now armed with a lead guitar player, the songs that are nothing less than hook drenched, anthemic howls of redemption, bash sonic barriers previously unimagined by these blokes from Brooklyn.

And while you're putting the pieces of your blown brain back into your head, crack open the comic and gaze upon the tumultuous tale of what it was like for the band's fretful leader to tour across the U.S., a mere 90 days into his recovery from a life torn apart by his previous partners in crime, beer and whiskey.

"Brooklyn-based trash punks World War IX play sing/shout-a-long riddled, snarky-themed songs that are rarely longer than a minute and thirty seconds."   STEREOKILLER

Charlize Theron, and She's In Leather!

Bad Ass! Charlize Theron
Actress and Seducer of Living Things Charlize Theron, did this hotter than Hell photo featured in W Magazine.

There is also an interview to go with it, no I didn't read it I was too distracted by this image to care what was said honestly. Although I am willing to bet it had something to do with her upcoming movie the awesome looking Mad Max Fury Road.

Sorry Charlize I know there is more to you than beauty but....WOW!

I used to work at United Talent Agency the house that represented Ms. Theron when here career first started. Even then there was a buzz about her. Her then agent the late and wonderful J.J. Harris sent out an excited E-mail announcing her arrival. Even then everyone knew she would be a star.

She has it all, beauty, talent & brains.

While I love Charlize in all that she does, I must cite my two favorite performances by her. Of course there is the obvious her Oscar winning turn as Aileen Wuornos is Monster. She also played the wickedest Queen seen outside of RuPaul's Drag Race in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Mad Max Fury Road looks kick ass, I can't wait to take the ride with Charlize and the rest of the cast on May 15th! Check out the awesome trailer below...Varooooooooooom!

Paint A Rumer

Nothing Unfortunate Here: Val Chmerkovskiy & Rumer Willis

Although I do not watch Dancing With The Stars on a regular basis I did happen to catch the Disney themed dance off.

Rumer Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis & Demi Moore, stole the show as Ursula the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid. Her and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy did a red hot Samba to the song Poor Unfortunate Souls.

Avid DWTS watcher and Entertain Me chanteuse Sandy Zacky had this to say about Ms. Willis:

"I knew very little about this girl except the obvious. Never gave her much thought really but she changed my mind the day she explained how difficult it was reading very negative things about herself as a young child and later a young woman. Shallow idiots talking about her looks and not in a positive way and how she overcame the hurt that it caused her.

I fell in like with this young woman and then her dancing, wow!!!!

Great dancer. A natural really. She shows grace and talent. Beautiful dancer !
She is a beautiful person and I think she is stunning!"

Preach! Joan Jett Inducted Into The "Rock-N-Roll Hall Of Fame"

Trio: Paul McCartney, Joan Jett & Miley Cyrus
Congratulations to Joan Jett & The Blackhearts for being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! An honor that is so deserved! She was the founder of The Runaways and the first female owner of a record label.

One Ms. Miley Cyrus was there to induct her and "Free The Nipple" Joan Jett's cheerleader had a capital "J" and another capital "J" on each of her freed nipples.

“I come from a place where rock and roll means something. it means more than music, more than fashion, more than the pose,”Joan the audience in Cleveland. “Rock and roll is an idea and an ideal. Sometimes, because we love the music and we make the music, we forget the political impact it has around the world.”

Miley and Tommy James performed the thinly veiled sapphic version of "Crimson and Clover" with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as part of the ceremony.

Yeah, I love Rock -N- Roll!

People were doing double takes this past Friday, April 17th, when Lady Gaga dined with Lisa Vanderpump and the Real Housewives restaurant PUMP in West Hollywood, CA -

Gaga's Mom & manager also joined them.  Fans of Gaga and her music, which apparently Lisa is, will recall that Vanderpump and some of her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars appeared in the video for Lady Gaga's song "G.U.Y." from her Art Pop album.

Here is what Lisa V. Tweeted about the evening:

Michelle Pfeiffer Fills The AHS: Hotel Vacancy

Bitch, I'm Michelle Pfeiffer
With Jessica Lange out of the picture on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel I was happy to learn Michelle Pfeiffer is checking in to fill her vacancy.

Michelle, like Lange has always been one of my favorite actresses and like Jessica has earned acclaim for her film work.

The two actually starred together in movie A Thousand Acres which was based on Shakespeare's King Lear. Of course I saw it, duh! Like I would pass up the chance to see two powerhouse actress play off of one another?!

American Horror Story: Hotel centers on what goes on in a shady hotel and is told in three tales

1) Later Hotel Days

2) Present Hotel Days

3) Early Hotel Days

Pfeiffer plays Martina McBride, the previous hotel owner with many secrets in the segment Early Hotel Days.

I can't wait!

Zac Efron Is Your Shirtless Friend

Nipples, Nipples, Nipples: Zac Efron
OK, so you all know I have a Jared Leto thing, running a close second is Zac Efron.
Hey, he came up as my celebrity match when I took a quiz that came through my Facebook news feed.
Even though Jared & Zac share similar qualities - there are differences, age being one of them.
Recently it was brought to everyone's attention that Zac would be appearing shirtless, a few gratuitous times in his upcoming movie We Are Your Friends.
While I prefer Zac in his Birthday suit, his upper body is quite the view.
"He's shirtless and you get a good dose of it," states director Max Joseph on the upcoming movie.
So here you go some Tuesday celebrity skin, enjoy my fellow Efron fans!

"Reverie" With Cherie Currie

Cherie Currie
Photo: Patti Ballaz
Cherie Currie, former lead vocalist of the first platinum selling all-girl rock group, The Runaways is back with her first new album in 35 years,  "Reverie."  "Reverie"  features the legendary Kim Fowley  on 4 tracks and The Runaways Lita Ford on 3.

That's right The Runaways fans Ms. Cherie Currie is back & flying solo. Oh, by the way, she has a chainsaw and she knows how to use it!

MS: I listened to your album "Reverie," one of the definitions of that word is: "pleasantly lost in ones thoughts." That is how I think the album played out.

CC: Oh, I agree. Kind of lost in ones thoughts. Yeah, I completely agree.

MS: Well I saw something recently on your Facebook page that this could be your last album, so you went with your truth on it.

CC: The last five years have been spent on thinking about what could have been, without really seeing what is. I'm very blessed, I'm a chainsaw artist and have been very successful at that. I've just had to let go of everything, all my...you know, of course I was always hoping there would be a Runaways reunion, but I was always the last one believing it could still happen. Letting go of that was really very freeing for me. It also allows me to look at my future as a singer and a chainsaw artist. To be honest I have had people asking me for many years if a reunion was going to happen and my response was always: "anything is possible." Being the one to say: "no, it's not going to happen" really made me feel good.

MS: We're at the same place in our lives, you get to that point.

CC: Yep, all that energy that you could be thinking about the: "what if's" that goes into the "what if's hole" as I call it, that is an endless well of nothingness. Just bury that hole, it changes your whole outlook on things. You can't control other people and what they want to do. I think that's why I love chainsaw carving so much because I am my own boss and nobody tells me what to do.

MS: Relying on other people isn't the best thing, but it isn't the worst.

CC: You're always going to be let down, no matter what. Because we have these expectations that we shouldn't have about other people. We should only have expectations of ourselves. It's a painful road to go down if you're constantly waiting for somebody else to do something. For me, now it's very freeing to know exactly what is, instead of what I wished at one point.
MS: With "Reverie" you certainly did put all of this out there.

CC: Well, Thank You.

MS: This is your first album in 35 years. Give me a little background on it.

CC: Of course I did make a record with Matt Sorum back in 2010 for Blackheart and that has been on the shelf for a few years. Which was a very frustrating thing for me, so I put myself out on the road. Without management. We did about four tours and it was really fun, we had a great time. I went out with my son, Jake Hays, as well, he played guitar and drums in the band. Anyway Kim Fowley had heard through the grapevine that I had said I would work with him again. He called me and asked if it was true, and I said: "absolutely!"

To me it was a way to close a chapter in my life that to me as a kid was very painful for me. Of course I knew he was also very ill, so I was not about to not experience being in the studio with him under a different circumstance with him. That would be me as an adult and not a scared kid, and really be able to appreciate his genius, and that man was genius. I also brought my son in, so here is my kid who's 23 years old at the time, working with Kim Fowley. Ya know that was a first for Kim working with the person he had produced as a kid, and now working with their kid. (laughs) It was really, really cool!

MS: Your perception of somebody is so much different when you are an adult.

CC: Exactly. Also being a Mom I really realized and came to terms, how difficult managing The Runaways had to have been for Kim, being in his thirties, having a rotten childhood and dealing with five teenage girls who are just becoming women. With all the insecurities, craziness and Tampax...I think he did the best he could to toughen us up for a business he knew was a lot tougher than we were. He apologized to me for it many years ago, we were on the phone for hours talking. He told me he was very sorry and that he could have done a better job. Thinking back, he did the best he knew how. Also it's great in my heart to forgive and what would you expect from a man who didn't have parents really, and dealing with teenage girls? That would be hard for anyone I think.

MS: Teenage girls are difficult, that's just the way they are.

CC: I'm so glad I had a boy. Honest, I am.
Cherie & Her Son, Jake Hays
Photo: Barbara Porter

MS: Are you ever going to write another book? I liked "Neon Angel."

CC: Well Thank You. I don't know, I have thought about it, of course it would be fiction if I did write another book. I've thought truly about things I would like to write about. Right now I'm just really getting back into my chainsaw carving and that is really neat. So I'm going to let this record do it's thing and hopefully in a few months or so I'll be able to go and hit the road again with my band, we'll see. It's all an open book.

MS: Have you ever experienced ageism with your rock career?

CC: (laughs) I sling a chainsaw all day long, it would be pretty difficult for anyone to turn around and tell me I'm too old to do something. Honestly if I hadn't been carving for the last fifteen years I would feel pretty washed up. It's something I don't really think about because we are all getting old together, aren't we? There will be a day when we decide to say: "Hey, done" But I think that's a personal choice, I don't think people can tell you when you're too old.

MS: What would you like people to take away from this album if you never get to record another?

CC: Wow! Um, to be honest, my fans had waited five years for the Blackheart record. It's like, look Okay, I delivered and it was with Kim Fowley, Lita Ford and my son. You know what? I did the best I could, now I can walk away. I'm very blessed because my son Jake is so talented. He just got a really great record deal and just got off a tour opening for the Bad Sons. People have asked me what is your legacy? You were in a groundbreaking teenage rock-n-roll band. To me that isn't what my legacy is. I think I was born to have Jake. Jake will go on and do things I was never able to do. I can always live vicariously through him.

MS: Clear up any misconception about your relationship with Joan Jett.

CC: I'm so happy Joan is being inducted into the Rock-N-Roll Hall Of Fame. I'm so proud of her she deserves it more than anyone! It's so funny how people will accuse me of not being happy for Joan and her honor. I just don't get people, I was one of the very first people to text her screaming, jumping up and down, because I was so happy for her. But people want to believe what they want to believe, and if they think there is this animosity between me and Joan and The Runaways and stuff...they are so mistaken.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Has "Cruel Intentions"

Sarah Michelle Gellar & The Cast Of "Cruel Intentions: The Completely Unauthorized Musical
Photo: Abel Armas
One of my favorite movies ever is 1999's cult classic Cruel Intentions. Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon & Ryan Phillippe.

Based on the novel "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" by Choderlos de Laclos, written and directed by Roger Kumble.

It was the set where Ryan met Reese and they eventually married and got divorced, and Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair had one of the hottest girl on girl lip locks ever.

Cut to this past Friday, April 10th 2015 where:

Cruel Intentions: The Completely Unauthorized Musical parody opened at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles, CA.

Oh, guess who was front row and center?

Sarah Michelle Gallar herself who was joined by the film's original writer/director Roger Kumble and costar Sean Patrick Thomas. The group laughed, cheered and took photos from their seats, and after, Gellar rushed backstage to meet and praise her counterpart.

Oh, BTW that famous kiss scene with Selma Blair? In case you had any doubt ... it's part of the show (and they're even singing "Kiss Me" by The Cardigans as they do it).

"It's so crazy. It was such a flood of memories. I don't necessarily think of it as me," Gellar stated. "But then they started talking, and I could feel the words coming out of my mouth!"

Caleb Johnson: No Gravity Required

Caleb Johnson: Testify!
Photo: Brian Bowen Smith
Season 13 "American Idol" winner Caleb Johnson is busy! He has his upcoming first ever headlining tour, the freshman video from his album "Testify" for the single "Fighting Gravity" and he has teamed up with Do Something for it's Patient Playbooks Campaign.

Tell us about it, Caleb...

MS: I really enjoy your song and the video for "Fighting Gravity."

CJ: Thank you. I really appreciate that.

MS: It's really great that you tied it to bring awareness to children with pediatric cancer, after having met a child with it.

CJ: Well, Thank You. That was a pivotal moment in my life that I will never forget. It's something that impacted me enough to where I wanted to tell that story and show people what I saw. Most artists, musicians, writers, whatever, pull from their personal experiences. That was something that really touched something in me, where I felt I really wanted to tell this story, and to do it in a really beautiful eloquent way. It's a really grim story, he was a healthy young thirteen year old kid a year ago,  then he got diagnosed and then he was gone. Just like that, it was that quick. This stuff happens and a lot of people never take the time to think about it because it doesn't affect them. It makes you sit and think about your life, because you never know what's going to happen when it's going  happen. Walking into that room and seeing the Mother's face when it happened she had that: "I'm here, but I'm not here" look on her face, it's so bad she had just probably numbed herself to the point of trying to cope with it.

There's some really haunting experiences that happened that made me really want to tell that story. I really wanted to tell the story well, musically and visually, it's really cool to see it come to life like that.
                                                                 Fighting Gravity

MS: Yes, it's really well done all the way around. Since you gravitate towards rock I noticed a lyric in the song: "dark side of the moon" was that a Pink Floyd reference?

CJ: Somebody else asked that too. Yeah, it was. (laughs) What's cool is this was the first song I wrote for my album "Testify." The song and the video took on a life of it's own, but the original concept was that it was a tragic love story. They broke up, and one of the lovers love the other so much that they tried to fight to keep the relationship. Unfortunately you can't fight the inevitable, and that was the whole metaphor of "Fighting Gravity," you can't stop gravity and you can't stop the break up of the relationship. It's that tragic love story where two people have been in a relationship so long, they kind of fall out of it, they try to get it back together and it just never works. We wanted to use the metaphors of gravity, atmosphere and that's how we came up with Pink Floyd "dark side of the moon." (laughs)

MS: Talk some about your involvement with Do Something and their Patient Playbooks campaign.

CJ: My manager called me and asked me about doing the Playbooks, and I told her: "absolutely!" In the book you make up your own little game scenarios, you color pictures. I drew a dragon breathing fire, it's a really cool, easy and creative way to make a huge difference in somebody's life. The fact that it will be given to somebody and hopefully make their day is such a huge honor.

MS: So, how did it actually feel to win "American Idol?"

CJ: Very humbling. It was a huge honor to win the whole thing, very surreal. After I had won I had to do a bunch of stuff and it didn't really settle in until the next day.

MS: It looks like a whirlwind.

CJ: You know, in a way the fun doesn't stop. I immediately went to work on the record, went on tour, did a bunch of press. All kinds of fun stuff! I've just had a blast! Now with the video & single I am headlining my first tour this May.

MS: How do you feel about your first headliner?

CJ: It's my first headliner, "yes!" So it's pretty nerve wracking, but it's going to be a lot of fun! I love to perform and I'm going to be hitting the road in May. Tickets went on sale last week. It's going to be awesome!

MS: "Devil's Daughter" is another song that caught my ear off of "Testify."

CJ: I wrote that song with some completely amazing writers, Blair Daly & Steve Diamond. I think we wrote it in 45 minutes. It's a very straightforward rock song.

MS: For me it was reminiscent of Bon Jovi.

CJ: I really love classic rock.

MS: Me too.

CJ: There's a great organ solo, we really wanted to make a fun groovy, bluesy, rock-n-roll tune. The song is about a woman who's so bad she's good, you know what I'm saying? You can't resist her wicked touch, it's very, very throwback 1970's rock-n-roll. That song was a lot of fun, because that is my wheelhouse, that kind of stuff. I love the harder, groovier, rock-n-roll stuff.

MS: Something about your voice is reminiscent of Joe Cocker to me.

CJ: I grew up listening to Joe Cocker, Chris Cornell, Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry. I was just really raised on a lot of that stuff. Those are the artist that shaped my voice.

MS: Who would you like to do a duet with?

CJ: Chris Cornell or Lady Gaga.
